Accountable to: Support Services Manager
Accountable for: Team Leaders and Support Workers
Purpose of the post: To assist in the management of service delivery of specialist, trauma-informed support to adults and children who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse, harm and violence
Specific responsibilities:
1.To assist the Support Service Manager in managing the delivery of specialist, trauma-informed support to adults and children living in refuge, recognising the impact of domestic or sexual abuse, harm or violence, and responding with empathy, respect, and consistency.
2.Contribute to a refuge environment that is compassionate, equitable, and grounded in integrity -where every individual feels safe, heard, and supported.
3.Manage Safeguarding across the service, complying with internal and external policy and legislation, authorise adult and child referrals maintaining a trauma-informed, non-judgemental stance that prioritises dignity and safety
4.Provide line management to Team Leaders and Support Workers in line with Cyfannol’s policies and values, leading recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and development in an inclusive and engaging way.
5.Key Contributor alongside Service Manager in risk compliance, supporting team members to regularly assess and positively managing risk in an inclusive and enabling way.
6.Manage the delegated aspects of budgetary responsibility including some purchasing, work closely with the Finance department.
7.Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), core group and other similar meetings.
8.Provide support team with case management and direction, providing direct support for emergency/ crisis situations, complex cases, team member absence, when more than one worker are required.
9.Review complex or serious concerns or breaches that are impacting maintenance of licence/ contracts and escalate to Service Manager when appropriate
10.Grow your service team’s understanding, skills and confidence in providing support through informed choice where individuals design their own meaningful support outcomes
11.Manage data compliance and oversee regular service internal audits of service and case work, provide improvement plans where appropriate.
12.Fulfil reporting obligations to funders that are delegated by the Project Manager/ Coordinator which includes aspects of funding schedules, rendering of services and Commissioning audits
13.Complete delegated requirements for regular external data collection and reporting including National Quality Standards and Welsh Women's Aid.
14.Lead regular Service team meetings to support communication, reflection and service development
15. Encourage and support adults and children to have a voice within Cyfannol and the wider sector
16. Contribute (through working closely with the Facilities Coordinator) to ensuring a safe compliant and quality environment across Hwbs and services
17. Encourage and support adults and children to have a voice within Cyfannol and the wider sector
18. Contribute to internal development projects as part of an organisational continuous improvement.
19. Work collaboratively with other Support Service Coordinators to ensure refuge, community and initial contact referral paths are easily accessible are clear and concise, and to continue to promote a whole team approach.

The role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Database and Insights Officer to take ownership of myaware’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) and ensure our database is accurate, compliant, and fully utilised across the organisation.
This is a pivotal role, acting as the main point of contact for all internal CRM users and our external CRM system provider. As a database super user, you will manage system settings, user access, data integrity and development, while providing expert support, guidance and training to colleagues.
Working closely with the CEO, the myaware management team and colleagues across the organisation, you will ensure the CRM system supports fundraising, communications, campaigns and wider organisational insight. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for system improvement, upgrades and best practice. The role will require occasional working at Derby HQ and travel for meetings.

We are looking for a confident and detail-oriented CRM professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.

- Proven experience managing a CRM system, ideally Raiser’s Edge or a similar database.

Who are we?
Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

The Head of Finance’s key priorities, in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, are to lead and support the strategic and annual financial planning processes, and to prepare and analyse accurate and timely financial information for the Board of Trustees and the Directors of the Trading Company, ensuring compliance with all external financial reporting requirements.
Main Duties:
1. To provide an effective and accurate financial management and accountancy service to the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company.
2. Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance on a monthly basis against plan by the preparation and issue of monthly budget statements. Make recommendations on costing assumptions to be included within all budgets. For example, inflation rates.

4. Prepare and maintain financial accounts in a timely fashion and ensure they are consistent with external financial reporting standards and requirements.
5. Provide monthly financial information to the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company.
6. Prepare cash flow reports on a regular/quarterly basis and monitor cash requirements and advise the Board of Trustees, Directors of the Trading Company and Executive Leadership Team on the liquidity position of the business.
7. Provide advice on all financial matters, including issues arising in connection with charity legislation, to ensure that the business meets its legal financial obligations and complies will all external regulatory requirements.
8. Liaise with H.M. Revenue and Customs and VAT consultants regarding records and payments and ensure compliance with all regulations.
9. Ensure the provision of a monthly payroll service and ensure delivery of an accurate, reliable and quality payroll service to all staff.
10. To liaise with all regulatory external bodies in connection with any financial or charity matters, i.e. auditors, accountants, bank, solicitors, Charity Commission, Companies House, insurance company, pension advisors and others.
11. Annual completion of the Charity Commission self-assessment, ensuring that we comply with best practice.
12. Attend the meetings of the local networking groups as required.
13. Review and monitor performance of the business’s investments and provide up to date reports to the Board of Trustees, enabling them to make appropriate investment decisions.
14. As part of financial reporting, complete regular analysis of all income and expenditure, supporting budget holders as required to identify areas where cost savings and efficiencies can be made.
15. Support in the preparation of business cases as necessary across the business.
16. Support in the preparation of benchmarking information to assist in the determination of opportunities to improve the organisation’s financial position.
17. Support the business’s efforts to maximise income from all sources providing financial information and attending committees and other forums as required to assist in this.
18. Develop and maintain an asset register of all property across the business. Ensure capital accounting policies are agreed annually by the Finance Committee.
19. Ensure appropriate financial procedures, financial governance and policies are in place across the business and ensure they are regularly reviewed and appropriate.
20. Ensure good systems of financial control and checks are in place for all assets.
21.To manage and support staff in the Finance Department, ensuring they have the right knowledge and skills to carry out their duties effectively.
22. Ensure that all members of the leadership team (ELT and SLT) and the board have the necessary knowledge and support regarding financial matters including the provision of training if necessary.
23. Attend committees and key meetings to present relevant financial information at the request of the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company.
Performance Standards:
1. Annual income and expenditure budgets are approved annually and monitored monthly.
2. Management Accounts are aimed to be completed within 10 working days of month end and available for the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company.
3. Regulatory requirements are met as and when they fall due.
4. The provision of an accurate and reliable set of annual financial statements.
5. Meet with statutory and external organisations in a timely and professional manner.
6. Quarterly VAT returns, Annual Corporation Tax returns and other statutory returns are submitted in a timely manner.
7. With regard to financial records and reporting, to comply with and meet the standards of the Care Quality Commission.
8. Completion of all Charity Commission regulatory requirements.
9. Ensure that we have robust financial systems in place for all assets and liabilities incorporating monthly reviews of creditors and debtors.
10. Ensure financial information requirements of the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company are met in a timely manner.
11. Ensure that the business has financial systems and processes in place that will comply with regulatory requirements for healthcare services.
12. Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team participating in all relevant meetings contributing where possible, to the achievement of business objectives.
13. To take rotational responsibility as Out of Hours Duty Manager, if required.
14. Provide advice, support and information to the Executive Leadership Team; Board of Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company on financial matters enabling the business to meet its objectives.
General Duties:
1. To liaise with Head of Human Resources to advise, where necessary, on all salary and pension matters, keeping up to date with changing legislation.
2. To communicate with the banks, HMRC, Department of Work and Pensions and all other relevant external bodies regarding all pension, tax and National Insurance issues.
3. To liaise with all Senior Leadership team colleagues to ensure payroll data is accurate and kept up to date.
4. To liaise with the Head of Fundraising in matters relating to fundraising income and expenditure and the fundraising and lottery database, ensuring that any information is an accurate reflection of income and expenditure.
5. To liaise with the Head of Retail in matters relating to the trading company’s income and expenditure, ensuring that all information provided is accurate.
6. To verify that insurance cover is appropriate and adequate for the various business functions and to ensure that it is kept up to date.
7. To ensure that there is compliance across the business with financial statutory regulations and internal financial policies.
8. Ensure that there is a robust information governance regime across all financial matters across the business.
9. To undertake and manage the annual appraisal process for the Finance Team, identifying any training and development needs.
10. Ensure that all members of the Finance Team attend mandatory and statutory training as required and that evaluations are undertaken to monitor effectiveness.
11. The post holder will adhere to all relevant legislation and policies of the business.
12. Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Executive Leadership Team, the Boarof Trustees and Directors of the Trading Company.

IRW’s Finance & Corporate Services Division is recruiting for the position of Senior Systems Accountant to join its dynamic team based out of its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation currently operates to a hybrid working model.
Job Purpose
The Senior Systems Accountant is a key role within Islamic Relief’s Finance team, providing ongoing strategic and operational support for our cloud-based financial system, Unit4 ERP (version 7 – Cloud Release). This role ensures that the finance system is optimally configured and maintained to support efficient business-as-usual (BAU) operations across the organisation.
You will act as the organisation’s Unit4 SUPER user and subject matter expert, responsible for system administration, user support and training, issue resolution, and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with Finance, IT, and system users, you will ensure the ERP system supports accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and process efficiency.
This is not a project implementation role it focuses on the long-term embedding, optimisation, and support of Unit4 ERP7 (CR), delivering both strategic oversight and day-to-day system management.
The successful candidate must have:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent with proven delivery of ERP system administration, configuration, and optimisation in a live finance environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Unit4 ERP v7 Cloud (financial modules) in a support or administration role.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting principles, and reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency with reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excelerator).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system and user issues independently.

Finance Manager
We are delighted to work with Westway CT who, due to retirement, are now seeking an experienced, qualified Finance Manager.
Westway CT is a non-profit social enterprise tackling isolation and creating community in West London through the provision of transport services and dedicated drivers offering a lifeline for community groups, older people, and anyone facing challenges using public transport across Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager who, reporting to the CEO, will play a key role in the running of two interconnected entities; a registered society, and its trading arm, which supports and subsidises their charitable aims. In so doing, the successful candidate will be helping to lead the way in a sustainable community benefit model that creates its own income by being part of the wider London transport mix, contributing to the local economy and working towards better air quality.
With line management responsibility of the Finance Officer, you will be an accredited qualified accountant, preferably with non-profit sector experience, with the ability to lead on the financial management of the organisation.

- Be an efficient, highly organised team player with good communication skills, working effectively with internal colleagues, external stakeholders and suppliers of varying financial experience.
- Provide excellent line management and role modelling for your reports and colleagues to encourage professional development.
- An accredited qualified accountant (ACCA) (CIMA) or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably within the non-profit sector
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Sage 50, Quickbooks and/or another similar accounting software

Position Overview

For a small London-based charity, we are recruiting an Interim Head of Finance for 6 + months, starting ASAP. Reporting to C-suite, the main accountabilities will focus on providing insightful monthly management accounts and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees / Board, and to ensure the correct allocation of expenditure to a high number of grant funds.
