We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Officer to join the School Partnerships Team. Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. If you are passionate about communicating with different audiences, quickly building relationships, and meeting ambitious targets that have a huge social impact, this could be the perfect role for you.

This role will require you to become an expert on our programmes so that you can confidently discuss their features and benefits with key stakeholders. You will be comfortable in winning the confidence of head teachers and senior school leaders of prospective schools who have expressed an interest in partnering with us. This isn’t just about administering a process, it’s about understanding the needs of individual schools and how our programmes can support their priorities. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure.

Alongside meeting with schools and securing partnerships, you will be involved with generating interest in our programmes, via marketing campaigns and network building. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us. The role will report to the Director of School Partnerships. It can be based at either of our Brilliant Club offices, located in London and Leeds.

The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engagement Officer in our Northern Ireland team, to deliver opportunities for audiences to connect with woods and trees through a range of engagement activities both on our own estate and in partnership with others. This role is responsible for providing communications support including the creation of physical and digital assets.

THE ROLE
•    This is a key role in the Northern Ireland team and it will be responsible for improving the visitor experience on our estate and inspiring new and existing supporters to give time, voice and money to our cause.
•    Lead on the public engagement aspects of our visitor offer at key sites across Northern Ireland, working with estate colleagues to plan activities, communicate key messages and improve visitor experience
•    Plan and deliver an annual engagement plan for the country, identifying key audiences and activity (on and off our estate) to most effectively achieve our objectives
•    Support the development of improved visitor experience at key sites including data collection, visitor monitoring, evaluation and interpretation planning
•    This role is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months. 
•    This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and DBS check as part of their pre-employment.

•    Planning and delivering high quality face to face engagement activities ideally within a public facing visitor setting

•    A working knowledge of what constitutes successful interpretation, ideally with experience of planning and implementing creative interpretation features to engage with visitors
•    Understanding about Heath and Safety in public engagement and what constitutes a successful visitor experience
•    You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships internally and externally. 
•    The role is based in Northern Ireland and will require the successful candidate to travel across the country with occasional UK travel. A full driving licence is required.

You possess a solid grasp of Mental Health legislation, particularly the Care Programme Approach (CPA), and apply the principles of recovery through person-centred and strengths-based methods. Flexible and dedicated, you are willing to work early, late, and occasional weekend shifts to meet service needs. You must also be confident to cook a Sunday Roast for a group of service users.

Working mostly remotely, with some home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes. 

About Brake: Brake is a renowned and respected road safety charity with a 30-year history dedicated to supporting people affected by road crashes and advocating for safer streets. 

You'll join a closely knit team of fellow caseworkers, each using their individual experience and skills to provide person-centred support to victims. Who we're looking for 

Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. Our induction program has been developed to equip caseworkers with the skills they need to provide high quality support to road victims and covers topics such as being trauma-informed, safeguarding and risk management. • Resident in the Surrey or Hapshire area.

If you are looking for an exciting new career opportunity, then join Shelter as a Housing Rights Worker and you could soon be making a real difference to people affected by the housing emergency.

About the role

We have received a Homewards Fund grant to provide a Housing Rights Worker to deliver community outreach work targeting families and young people in Bournemouth.  We will be working in partnership with The Bourne Academy, a secondary school and sixth form, to engage families who might not otherwise get the help they need, targeting support before crisis point to help prevent homelessness. Where families are already homeless, processes will be in place to reduce the impact on pupils’ learning.

Your role will be to deliver casework support, advice drop-ins and awareness raising sessions for parents, housing rights awareness workshops for Academy staff and tenancy rights and responsibilities advice for sixth form students to equip them to manage their own accommodation once living independently. You will provide practical assistance, advice and advocacy and links with other Shelter services, such as our Legal team and DIY Skills Adviser, to enable households to resettle, prevent homelessness and improve their circumstances. You will also work alongside colleagues at the University of Bournemouth to evaluate the project’s impact.

About you

You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and with all stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions. You will be prepared to think creatively about solutions to multi-agency working and be able to take a test and learn approach.

Dorset Hub has been providing housing advice and support services within Dorset since 2000. We have bases in Poole and Weymouth and contracts to deliver Housing First support across the Dorset Council area, along with Legal Aid Advice, including a court desk service at Bournemouth and Weymouth County Courts.

Active in our communities, our Housing Rights Workers will deliver advice sessions within local organisations and offer advocacy to individuals and groups to empower them to resolve their situation. Who we need?
