Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training Delivery
To deliver training both in person and on-line, in Safeguarding leadership, and raising awareness of Domestic Abuse, including evaluating pre and post training session work

Safeguarding Training Coordination:
Coordination of the diocesan safeguarding learning and development programme, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and standards.

Training Administration and Record Management:
Organise around 80 training sessions annually, managing bookings, materials, publicity, and attendance records, and maintaining accurate safeguarding training data for individuals and parishes.

Reporting and Team Support:
Produce reports and statistics on training compliance and trends

We are looking for someone with:

· A qualification or demonstratable experience in training or education.

· Demonstratable experience in evaluating pre and post training session work.

· Demonstratable safeguarding experience.

· Good clear communication skills, in particular a friendly and sensitive training delivery manner, and confidence in in running Zoom and Teams for training.

· High level of ICT and database skills, in particular the ability to input data accurately and extract reports as required.

· Understanding and assurance of absolute confidentiality in relation to records held in safeguarding files and databases

Harris Hill is delighted to partner exclusively with Consumers International, the only global membership body for consumer organisations, to recruit their new Lead, Management Accountant on a permanent, part-time (2 days per week) basis. Consumers International unites over 200 member organisations in more than 100 countries. As the independent voice for consumers worldwide, it works with Members and partners to advocate for safer, fairer, and more sustainable markets, from energy to digital goods, from food systems to circular economy solutions.

The purpose of the role is focused on generating and developing monthly management accounts information and providing insight and direction to the Director General and Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Organisation Development, you will play a key role across the business in improving data capture and managing reporting across the team.

Please note, for this role you can be based remotely. Additionally, the salary on show is the FTE.

As Lead, Management Accountant, you will:

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including comparatives to budgets, trends and forecasts

- Compile Balance sheet reconciliations

- Prepare quarterly Project Income and Expenditure reports for Project Managers

- Prepare interim/final financial Project reports for submission to Funders

- Prepare quarterly VAT returns

- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support the organisational financial strategy and decision-making process

The successful applicant will:

- Have demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Be Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or Part qualified on final stage

- Have a strong understanding of charity accounting principles, including SORP

- Have experience of managing financial ledgers, systems and processes

- Have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, and the ability to manage large amounts of data

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

We are seeking a Finance Assistant with excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, and good inter-personal skills to join our friendly Finance Team of Yeldall Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for helping others to join a Christian organisation dedicated to supporting men in their recovery journey.

As the Finance Assistant, you will assist with accounts payable/receivable and bank/cash reconciliations, and assist the Finance Team with administrative tasks using Excel (and accounts software). You will support our residents in the management of their money and benefits and accompany them to relevant appointments.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). We ask all staff to engage with and support our residents in their recovery journey, offering encouragement in both practical and spiritual matters.

This is a part-time, permanent position (16 hours per week). You will work as part of a small, friendly team within the Finance & Fund-Raising office, located in a beautiful rural setting. Lunch is provided daily with staff and residents.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in leading the team to achieve sales and performance targets
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high shop standards
• Deputise for the Manager when required, using initiative and sound judgement
• Drive commercial decisions using data and retail systems
• Recruit, train and retain a multi-skilled team of volunteers
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, gift aid, and operational procedures
• Promote the hospice’s values and build relationships within the local community

What we are looking for:

• Retail experience and at least 12 months of leadership experience
• Commercial awareness and strong numeracy skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and team leadership abilities
• Confidence using MS Office, Teams, and retail systems
• A proactive, flexible, and organised approach
• A genuine interest in charity retail and second-hand goods
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
