This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.
Position: S11304 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Hampshire, specifically North, Mid and Central Hampshire (Basingstoke/Winchester area) However, Frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include team meetings or other work related meetings)
Salary: Circa £18,812 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. Working within experienced and committed teams, the Behaviour Change Worker will deliver trauma responsive interventions including one to one support and group work to prevent harm.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete specialist risk assessments according to service guidelines and Respect standards, alongside developing personalised safety and support plans for programme participants.

Purpose of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and relationship‑focused individual to join our Corporate Partnerships team. The role will be a mix of managing and growing existing partnerships and supporting new business activity.

They should demonstrate a strong understanding of recovery principles and be confident in delivering person-centred support, including key working, support planning, and risk assessments to promote independence.
A good knowledge of issues facing the client group—including mental illness, substance misuse, and housing-related risks—is essential, along with the ability to liaise effectively with external professionals to develop support packages.
The role requires knowledge of housing management (including maintenance and repairs), health and safety in accommodation and home settings, and safeguarding protocols. The candidate must have a good understanding of welfare benefits, housing options, and related legislation.
Strong communication, literacy, numeracy, and IT skills are key, including the ability to accurately record client information. The role requires self-motivation, initiative, teamwork, flexibility to work evenings or weekends, and the ability to travel across the borough.

About the role

You will be able to identify test case opportunities to address systemic bad practice and so achieve change for a greater number of people and will work closely with the Head of Legal Services, the Hub Management Team and teams within Communications, Policy and Campaigns and Business Development. As a key member of the management team, you will also get to play your part in the management of our offices, including attending management team meetings and collaborating with other teams.
About you
You will be an experienced housing solicitor, court advocate, carrying your own caseload as well as managing and supervising others. You will have a minimum of 4 years post qualification legal practice experience, have supervisor status and have substantial knowledge of housing and homelessness law. You are able to carry out research and policy analysis in the areas of housing, homeless and welfare law, produce reports and presentations.

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.
Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.
