As Senior Programmes Officer for Marketing and Communications, you’ll play a key role in driving engagement and recruitment across our entire programmes portfolio. You’ll bring fresh ideas, take ownership of campaigns, and help shape how the Trust tells its story to the people we support.

We’re looking for a creative, digitally savvy marketing and communications professional with a passion for educational equality. This role offers the chance to lead on campaigns that span digital, print, and events - creating standout content for diverse audiences focused on students but including teachers, universities, parents, and alumni.

This role sits within the Programmes Directorate, working closely with a small, collaborative team of six led by the Head of Digital & University Access. You’ll be line managed by the Senior Programmes Manager: University Access and collaborate extensively with the central Communications Team.

Main duties

Marketing & Engagement

• With a strong audience focus, develop appropriate marketing strategies to support the recruitment of students to Sutton Trust programmes with Programme Managers
• Develop creative content ideas and tactics to target key audiences including creating engaging copy and visual assets for marketing campaigns, including digital content (e.g. email campaigns, social media) and physical collateral (e.g. posters, brochures)
• Create engaging copy and visual assets for marketing campaigns and programme
• Support the capture of content at selected Sutton Trust events, including photography, video, and stakeholder feedback, to enhance marketing assets and engagement strategies
• Lead on the creation or commissioning of programme collateral and marketing assets
• Coordinate stakeholder focus groups (e.g. students, parents, teachers, alumni) to evaluate and refine our marketing and comms strategies
• Work with the central communications team to highlight our programmes and alumni activity in wider Trust communications and the media

Digital, Web and Social Media

• Ensure all programme information is accurate and up to date across the Sutton Trust website and microsites.
• Lead the rebranding and redevelopment of programme microsites and marketing materials in line with brand guidelines and with support from the central communications team.
• Work closely with the Senior Digital Communications Officer and Head of Communications & Advocacy to ensure brand consistency and coordinated scheduling across digital and social channels.
• Manage, plan, and create impactful social media campaigns to support marketing and engagement, with an increasing focus on video content.
• Collaborate with Heads of Department and Programme Managers to produce blog content that supports outreach, partnerships, and engagement.

Data Analytics

• Use internal data systems (e.g. Salesforce, analytics dashboards) to assess campaign performance and inform future communications strategy.
• Regularly track key KPIs such as application conversion rates, social media engagement, and stakeholder reach.

Other

• Keep abreast of digital developments, providing expertise to the wider organisation
• Work with the team to suggest improvements to our marketing and communications strategy

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

• Experience in marketing and communications planning, ideally in the education or non-profit sectors
• Experience developing content and campaigns targeted primarily at young people, while also engaging diverse stakeholders such as teachers, parents, and alumni.
• Demonstrated ability to use data and digital tools (e.g. Salesforce, Google Analytics, social media scheduling) to drive communications
• Strong copywriting, editing, and content design skills across print and digital
• Experience working with brand guidelines and delivering multi-channel campaigns
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical skills
• High degree of initiative and the ability to take responsibility for discrete projects and workstreams
• Personable, flexible and discreet; able to fit in to a small team

• Is sympathetic to the aims of the Trust and its mission to address educational disadvantage;
• Has knowledge and experience of the higher education and/or education sectors;

Terms of Appointment

• Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum

• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.

Bringing together the world’s four largest women’s empowerment programs in the global supply chains - BSR’s HERproject, CARE International, Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. Program and ILO-IFC Better Work, RISE will leverage the combined experience in over 21 countries to achieve transformative change for the millions of women who work within supply chains globally. 

RISE will focus on three interrelated pillars of action to tackle both immediate barriers and medium/long term structural improvements for women workers. These include increased agency, confidence, and communication, increased access to and control over financial products, services and resources, enhancement of the capabilities of unions and industry organizations, and implementation of policies at the workplace level, but also regional and national levels that promote gender equality.

Pillar 1: Capacity Strengthening: Working in factories in key countries, RISE will achieve impact with a network of local civil society partners and organizations working on gender equality to deliver worker capacity building programs.  There are four options available (i) Foundation – a 13 month needs based worker training program (ii) Digital – an 8-month tablet-based learning on health, financial literacy and stress management, (iii) Respect - one year program on gender-based Violence prevention and remediation and (iv) Financial Health – a one-year program on financial capability, resilience and inclusion​.

Pillar 2: Market Transformation: RISE will work with and encourage leadership from industry actors (brands, buyers, suppliers, and worker representatives) to improve operating practices at all levels in global value chains to support greater gender equality outcomes. 

Pillar 3: Influencing: RISE will leverage the founding partners’ existing relationships and identify opportunities to work in partnership to influence employer/company/factory policies, programs, and budgets, as well as government policies that impact workers, in particular women workers.

PURPOSE OF THE CONTRACT

The consultant will lead the implementation of RISE’s MEL framework to ensure that data and insights inform the organization’s work and effectively demonstrate our impact.

The consultant will embed MEL systems across the organization, provide technical support and guide the teams. In addition, the consultant will lead on evaluation, develop data collection tools, analyze data and share reports and learning to improve program effectiveness.

The consultant will also demonstrate RISE’s impact to internal and external stakeholders.

Scope of Work

MEL Management and Implementation

• Implement MEL frameworks, including Theories of Change, Logical Frameworks, KPIs, and outcome indicators, ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with RISE values.
• Systematically integrate MEL across all programs and organizational processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Build teams’ MEL capacities and capabilities through direct technical support and guidance on MEL systems, data use, and strategic alignment.
• Foster a culture of learning through strategic reviews with the teams, gathering evidence and learning: key insights, impact narratives and lessons learnt.
• Lead quality assurance of MEL processes to improve rigor and integrity. Assess their strengths and weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Provide strategic MEL input to support organizational planning, grant reporting, and decision-making, providing insights that support RISE’s aim of multistakeholder action.

Program Evaluation

• Design and implement robust evaluation methodologies. Refine measurement indicators and develop tools for data collection (quantitative and qualitative).

• Develop and oversee data collection tools such as surveys, focus group protocols, and interview guides.
• Lead baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, including analysis and reporting.
• Lead on impact assessments for RISE’s program areas

Data Management, Analysis & Reporting

• Manage data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualization using appropriate software tools.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and compliance with ethical standards and GDPR.
• Produce high-quality, accessible impact reports for internal and external audiences.
• Develop key learning products to improve internal and external communications.
• Proactively explore innovative ways to analyze data, including the use of A.I., to support more efficient analysis.

Communications

· Demonstrate RISE’s impact through a variety of channels like external publications, reports and insights, communicating value to stakeholders.

• Engage internal and external stakeholders by showcasing social impact stories and deliverables.

Person specification

Essential criteria:

• Minimum8+ years of experience in MEL roles within sustainability, development, or impact-focused organizations.
• Proven experience designing and leading MEL strategies and frameworks, preferably across multi-country or cross-sectoral programs.
• Strong background in both qualitative and quantitative methods and tools.
• Knowledge of leading global best practice and emerging trends in the collection, measurement, management and reporting of social impact data.
• Excellent analytical and research skills, including the ability to process large amounts of information, distribute it appropriately and extract critical analysis from it.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and visualization platforms.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex data into strategic insights and engaging reports.

 Reporting and Location

The consultant will report to the RISE Program Director.  This is a remote part-time (2-3 days) role, with preference for UK-based consultants. The initial contract will be for a period of six months, at which point it will be reviewed for extension.

• Community Resettlement Workers support clients who have moved in to independent accommodation, usually from the street or hostels. The accommodation is across London and your role is to work alongside individuals as they transition towards independence.
• By adopting a flexible, creative and personalised approach you will support individuals to manage their tenancies in the community and improve their quality of life.
• This service is a stepping stone towards independence and you will continue to work with these clients for up to two years to prevent them from returning to the street, to support them to build networks of support in their local community and to help them to move on into permanent accommodation.

About the role

You are enthusiastic, proactive, and commercially aware, with a proven track record in delivering multi-channel customer journeys, managing, and executing projects, and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.

With a solid understanding of marketing and/or fundraising (including insight, customer journeys and marketing communications), you are knowledgeable about content management systems and customer databases, as well as new and emerging technologies and trends in the marketing and fundraising space.

Working arrangements

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office. There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Purpose of the role:

At NEON, we know that you can’t separate the external work of the organisation from the internal work. They are so interlinked and interdependent that they both have to be given priority and resources if we want to achieve high impact. We see them as inseparable. 

So the purpose of this role is to support NEON achieving its mission by ensuring the smooth running of NEON’s finance systems and processes. You’ll do this by delivering on the main financial tasks day-to-day, and support with finance projects aimed at improving NEON’s systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Doing all of our day-to-day fundraising administration to keep us well-organised and compliant. This includes:

   1. Recording and monitoring fundraising data using our Fundraising Tracking Database

   2. Keeping all of our grant agreements, contracts and other relevant documentation well-organised on GDrive and elsewhere 

   3. Ensuring compliance with the financial requirements of the grant agreements, and updating and maintaining the grant payments schedule 

   4. Raising invoices on Xero in line with funder agreements - noting instalment dates and receipts

2. Preparing payroll each month, ensuring everything happens on time and coordinating with our payroll agency. (This may only be a temporary responsibility) 

3. Processing and reconciling payments. This includes:

   1. Reconciling bank receipts and chasing late payments

   2. Processing supplier invoices and payments

   3. Monitoring our team’s Pleo card expenses and posting on Slack to our team for authorisation

   4. Managing the subscriptions on Pleo cards (this is likely a temporary responsibility until our People & Ops Manager returns from sabbatical leave)

4. Preparing some financial reports and accounts. This includes accounts to trial balance, and ad hoc reports from Xero when our team have finance queries or need support

5. Supporting with finance projects which make our finance systems work more efficiently, simply and sustainably e.g. helping to update our budget spreadsheets and approach to budgeting, or moving to a new bank

6. Supporting the Head of Finance with budgets, financial planning and reports and any other ad hoc finance tasks

7. Being part of Ops Hub shared work and cross-organisational work and team days 

About you:

• You have experience dealing with people in different capacities, both internally and externally, on a day to day basis, and build strong working relationships

• You have solid finance experience and skill. For us that means:

  1. a minimum of three years work experience in a finance role, preferably within the charity/non profit sector. This means you have a good understanding of non-profit finance, including VAT and managing restricted and unrestricted funds

  2. a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (with BACs, invoicing, etc) and Receivable (invoicing and credit control) processes

  3. a Level 4 AAT, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience

  4. experience in control accounts reconciliation, and posting journals

• You know how to use accounting software and apps (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks, Sage) as well as Microsoft Excel or Google sheets

• You are proactive, well-organised and feel empowered to solve problems yourself when they come up (sometimes described as an “ownership mindset”), as well as balancing this with asking for help when you need it

The purpose of this role is to raise the profile of the services and impact of Sobus, and the wider VCS community in Hammersmith & Fulham.  The Marketing and Social Media Officer will be responsible for capturing, on a weekly basis, high quality, insightful and inspiring media from Sobus services and projects, together with regular showcasing of local VCS services and achievements.  The role offers flexibility to accommodate the needs of the individual as far as is reasonably practicable with regard to the needs of the organisation.

1. Content creation:Capture and develop compelling content for marketing materials, including social media posts, website copy, blog posts, newsletters and other promotional materials to create content that showcases Sobus’s services, successes and impact, and that of the wider VCS community.

We’re looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive Support Worker to join our dedicated Carers in Mind team at Richmond Borough Mind. About the Project – Door of Hope (East London)

The Door of Hope Project provides support to women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets.  This includes journeying alongside women, whilst providing advocacy, information, emotional and practical support.  The project also has a strong team of around 15 volunteers, who deliver street outreach to women in Tower Hamlets on a Thursday morning and Friday night. 

About the Role

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.

Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker.

Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide holistic support for women with complex needs who want support, or to exit the sex industry. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.

This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver an in-person support service, with women who sell sex on-street in East London. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need for Safeguarding.

You will be a champion of the cause, have a passion for supporting women who face multiple disadvantages and be familiar with the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector.
