The requirement

The Innovation Fund & Project Manager will join our team to run our innovation fund and to manage projects designed and created by BDF staff members to improve the lives of disabled people in society more widely.

The Innovation Fund & Project Manager will also work across teams to help design and manage the creation of various new products and services. In addition, they will work closely with the CEO to scope out and deliver a specific project to increase the number of disabled people who are Non-Executive Directors and advisers to boards.

As the new Challenge Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing The Passage's Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, designed to inspire and engage both existing and new supporters, ultimately building a stable and sustainable income pipeline.

The DAPO Project Manager will work closely with the DAPO Programme Manager and SafeLives Finance Manager to support the successful delivery of the programme and maintain effective commissioning relationships with service providers across each pilot area. We are hiring a Deputy Manager to deliver quality services to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.  The job is based in our wonderful five bedded home in Tower Hamlets providing fun-based after school activities and short breaks for a small group of children with Autism in a residential setting.  

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities in running an essential and inspirational service for children and young people with Autism.  You will support with strategic and logistical planning while also carrying out hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a child centred approach is maintained at all times, and involving children, young people and parents and carers in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for development, identifying any gaps in existing provisions and expanding services accordingly. This deputy manager will be ambitious to maintain and further develop the positive and invaluable work of this service.

You will support, and be supported by, our Ofsted Registered Manager and be responsible for delivering services that are fully compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. You will ensure the safety of service users' health and wellbeing, leading by example with a positive and person-centred approach.  You will be confident liaising with local authority and Ofsted representatives and be committed to supporting your team to provide and facilitate engaging activity groups aimed at developing the life skills, confidence and relationship building of the people we support.

• You will need to have a minimum of two years of supervisory or team leadership experience ideally in a children’s residential environment or a related field working with children, young adults or adults with learning disabilities.

• You will need to have or be working towards Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.

Payroll and Remuneration Oversight

• Administer volunteer expense reimbursements and, where applicable, stipends, while collaborating with finance on accurate record-keeping
• Monitor pay spines for any contracted staff and align with budgetary considerations

Training and Development

• Identify training and development needs for volunteers, source relevant training providers, and coordinate volunteer development initiatives
• Promote a culture of growth, inclusion, and well-being within our volunteer team

Data and Reporting

• Prepare monthly HR reports to provide insights into volunteer engagement and retention
• Support leadership with data-driven insights to enhance volunteer experience and overall HR strategy

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Chartered CIPD membership or a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or Employment Law (or actively working towards these qualifications)
• Minimum of 3 years’ UK-based HR experience, with an understanding of volunteer coordination and management
• Knowledge of payroll processes and HR practices suited to a volunteer-based environment

Desirable:

• Experience in a remote or geographically dispersed organisation
• Familiarity with the charity sector and understanding of volunteer-led dynamics

Skills and Attributes

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Excellent communication skills, able to work tactfully with volunteers and colleagues at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems, with strong attention to detail

We are looking for a committed and compassionate deputy service manager to lead our Enhanced support service. This is an opportunity to support women and children facing multiple barriers to safety and recovery, including survivors with insecure immigration status, experiences of homelessness or substance misuse. 

You will provide leadership in day-to-day service delivery, ensuring high standards of trauma informed support, safeguarding and risk management. You will supervise a team of dedicated front-line staff, promote reflective practice and help foster a culture of continuous learning.  You will also deputise for the Service manager and supporting wider service coordination as needed. 

This role is ideal for someone with experience in VAWG or community-based services who is ready to step into a management position. You will be supported to develop your leadership skills while helping to share inclusive, survivor centred service provision.

The Pilgrim Trust is an independent charitable trust founded in 1930 with a mission to preserve the UK’s heritage and improve the life chances of those facing the greatest challenges. We are now seeking an experienced and values-driven Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, support our investment strategy, and contribute to the continued success and integrity of the Trust. 

You’ll be a strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in the charitable sector. A confident communicator and collaborative team player, you’ll work closely with the Director, Trustees, investment advisers, and grant partners to ensure our finances are expertly managed.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Lead our finances: Manage day-to-day financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting using cloud-based systems (we currently use SAGE).
• Be our financial steward: Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards and act as the main point of contact for auditors, HMRC, banks and other relevant authorities.
• Plan with clarity: Prepare management accounts, cash flow forecasts and annual financial statements, and support financial planning with timely insights and analysis.
• Support our grant making: Oversee grant payments, maintain accurate records and assess applicant financials when required.
• Steer our investments: Work closely with the Director, Finance Committee, and investment advisers to monitor our portfolio, implement strategy and track performance.
• Enable change: Review and develop our financial systems to ensure they are robust, efficient and fit for purpose.

What you'll bring:

• Professional qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT Level 4 – or equivalent experience.
• Charity finance expertise: Strong understanding of charity accounting (SORP) and the regulatory environment.
• Tech confidence: Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems, Excel, and ideally grant management software (e.g., Flexigrant).
• Analytical insight: Skilled at turning numbers into stories and recommendations.
• Process mindset: Experience improving financial systems and processes.
• Collaborative spirit: A team player who shares our values and takes pride in supporting colleagues and grantees.

Role Overview: 

As Charity Manager, you'll lead and guide All Ways Network (AWN) to achieve its charitable goals. This role involves working closely with the Board of Trustees to drive the charity’s strategic plans, manage operations, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal part in scaling the organisation and overseeing its day-to-day functions, while fostering a supportive and productive environment for staff. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Operations: 

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth running of all charity functions.
