About the Role

As Business Services Manager, you will lead a team of specialists to ensure smooth and effective delivery of our core business operations including IT, HR, Health & Safety, Facilities, and Information Management.

You will:

• Provide operational support to the Director of Business & Finance and the Senior Leadership Team.
• Lead and manage a skilled business services team.
• Support strategic planning and, working collaboratively with the Leadership Team, ensure continuous improvement of internal services to maximise business efficiency
• Oversee and improve systems, policies and processes to ensure GDPR compliance and optimise cybersecurity and business continuity.

This role would be focusing mainly on the West of Scotland but covering the whole country as needed, with some additional supporters based in Northern Ireland.

At Action Tutoring, data is central to everything we do. With an evidence-based culture and impact at the centre of our strategy, gathering and analysing high-quality data is a key priority.

Our highly customised Salesforce database supports every aspect of our work—capturing and managing data from volunteers, pupils, schools, and tutoring sessions. As Data and Insights Manager, you will make sure our system remains fit for purpose and help turn data into meaningful insights that can inform decision-making.

Duties and responsibilities 

Salesforce and systems development

• Collaborate with external Salesforce development consultants to continue building our system capabilities and design.
• Design and oversee the collection of stakeholder, tutoring delivery, quality assurance and evaluation data, working with colleagues to ensure data is collected in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.

Team leadership and support

• Line manage the Data Lead, ensuring their work is of high quality and they have clear development objectives.
• Plan and oversee training and support for the whole organisation on the effective use of Salesforce, developing their understanding of the purpose and value of data.

Data insights

• Support the Head of Impact and Quality to generate insights from data to inform evidence-based decision-making across departments, including through dashboards.

• Data governance

• Champion data security and GDPR compliance across the organisation, including contributing to the upkeep of privacy notices, responding to queries, and facilitating stakeholder GDPR rights.
• Any other reasonable tasks as per the request of the CEO.

About you (person specification)

Qualifications criteria:

• Two or more years experience with Salesforce administration.

What the job involves

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support High Value, Philanthropy and Partnerships teams. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of high value fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.

Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand and our senior Business Partner in embedding and developing our business partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of High Value Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll work closely with our Philanthropy, Corporate Partnerships and Appeal teams to help plan and deliver inspiring communications that support our fundraising strategy. From pitching proposals and event promotion to major appeal campaigns, you’ll help build strong relationships with major donors and partners. You’ll also make sure high value fundraising activity is joined up with our wider communications and campaigns to grow fundraising revenue, support our community and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer.

The Opportunity

The organisation is undergoing a significant digital transformation, including the implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system and a suite of modern data tools. This role plays a key part in embedding these systems and ensuring data is clean, accessible, and effectively used across the organisation.

The Data Operations Manager will be responsible for managing data flows, supporting income processing, and maintaining high standards of data governance. This is a strategic role with clear progression opportunities, such as into a System Lead role.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the custodian of CRM data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Manage data import/export routines for key supporter and fundraising data
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data is correctly ingested and utilised
• Support income processing through the CRM, including Gift Aid, direct debits, and events

Working as part time Finance Manager your day to day duties will include;
• Overseeing the finance operations including sales and purchase ledger
• Completing weekly payment runs
• Overseeing the completion of monthly payroll run of 40 people
• Completing monthly management accounts
• Producing monthly management packs and presenting figures to the board and finance committee
• Support the fundraising team with bids and grants applications
• Completing budgets
• Maintaining monthly cashflow forecasts offering advise where necessary

The skills you will bring to the position of Finance Manager will include;
• Knowledge of management accounting
• Prior experience in similar role ideally within a charity sector
• Experience of working with an accounting system such as Quickbooks
• Excellent financial management skills

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for leading & managing fundraising data, and strategic oversight of fundraising data systems and processes, managing a team to employ process efficiencies and improve data quality ensuring seamless integration between CRM systems and external platforms to drive income generation across the full spectrum of the donor data landscape and deliver fundraising operations. You’ll also lead on behalf of fundraising on CRM development and enhancement requests to support data-driven fundraising decisions and strategies.

About You

• Extensive experience working across CRM platforms (including D365 Mission CRM or similar), managing system selections, and leading CRM enhancement projects.
• Skilled in data analytics, building reporting frameworks, and using database languages like SQL, along with managing data imports and Direct Debit processes.
• Proven ability to automate processes while ensuring compliance with GDPR and data security best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and change management experience with a collaborative approach, influencing senior leaders in complex organisations.
• Competent in Microsoft applications, including Dynamics and the MS Office suite, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to organisational values and attention to detail.

About the Role

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and optimised data processes and lead the transition from manual to automated solutions.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising data strategy and performance monitoring mechanisms to support sustainable income growth and informed decision-making.
• Work closely with senior Digital, Data & Technology teams, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders to build integrated data solutions and embed insights into fundraising strategies.
• Oversee fundraising data processes, reporting frameworks, compliance with data protection regulations, and manage best practices in data handling and campaign operations.
• Lead change management initiatives, including training, documentation, and managing the Fundraising Operations Lead to ensure effective implementation of data processes and systems.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a thoughtful, motivated Junior Product Manager to join the Product Team at upReach.

In this role, you’ll help improve the digital tools we use to support thousands of students from underrepresented backgrounds to access top careers. Working closely with developers, colleagues from the Product Team, and our users themselves, you’ll support the development of products that make a real difference - every day.

You don’t need to have worked in product management before. If you’re excited about using technology to make things better, and you enjoy solving problems and collaborating with others, we’d love to hear from you.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll contribute to the development of one of our key products, supporting its continuous improvement from idea to launch and beyond.

This will include:

• Understanding our users' needs by gathering feedback and doing user research

• Writing clear, simple documentation like feature descriptions and user stories

• Testing new features and checking that they meet the goals we’ve set

• Working with developers to bring ideas to life and resolve bugs or issues

• Helping to design better user experiences with visual mockups or process flows

• Keeping things organised, including maintaining a product backlog and roadmap
