About the Role

As a Program Accountant at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, you will:

• Ensure accurate and timely month end accounting and reporting for your portfolio of projects.
• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for projects in your portfolio and supporting the annual reforecast process in the Foundation.
• Ensure accurate and timely donor reporting in line with donor requirements, timelines, formats, contractual obligations, and timescales.
• Represent finance on project boards as required.
• Work with Business Development, Program Team and other stakeholders as required in preparing budget proposals to donors.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Provide financial guidance and support to stakeholders in the Foundation supporting decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant, accounting standards, and donor regulations.
• Work closely with the Program staff providing financial analysis, projects insights to help make sure that projects are completed on time and within agreed budgets.
• Continuous Improvement and Automation - Contribute to the improvement of financial processes, procedures and systems within the organization to enhance effective financial management and organisational efficiency.

About You

To be our Program Accountant, you will likely have:

• Qualified Accountant with experience working in program accounting and reporting in a Charity (minimum of 5 years of experience).

The Systems and Administration Officer will be responsible for the effective running of Heart of the City’s systems and administrative processes, ensuring that digital tools are utilised in the most effective way, and governance, finance and business support processes are delivered efficiently.

The post holder will manage the delivery of key IT, finance, governance and administrative processes. This includes ensuring the legal compliance, effectiveness and security of cloud services and software used by the team, supporting the director with financial planning and administration and managing calendars, governance systems and general correspondence. The post-holder will also be a key contact point both internally and externally; this includes senior stakeholders on the Board of Trustees and Council of Members. You will be joining at an exciting time for the organisation. Following the recent merger of St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House with Martlets Hospice, and the appointment of a new CEO for the group, you will play a vital role in the Marketing & Communications team, managing a portfolio of websites which are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll be responsible for managing, developing and implementing a leading online presence for Southern Hospice Group with exceptional website experiences through secure, accessible and brand aligned websites and donation platforms. These will empower audiences and drive increased support for the charity.

Part of the role involves building strong internal relationships with colleagues in the team, as well as various key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure website content is optimised, up to date and aligned with the charity’s communications strategy, digital strategy and business plan. You will also work with external suppliers including website development agencies and platform developers.

As well as managing the websites, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a data driven, audience focused content strategy to enhance the online visibility of the hospice websites. You will manage the project to implement a new website for the organisation within the first few months in the role.

You’ll be able to demonstrate proven experience in website management, ideally at a non-profit, the ability to interpret and monitor data to deliver reports and a keen eye for design with experience in developing content and graphics for web. You’ll also need to be an excellent copywriter and proofreader.

Role Context

The Accelerating Reform Fund is an initiative launched in 2023 by the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community. It is a national programme, with 42 regions taking part and contributing to a national evaluation led by Ipsos. Greater Manchester (GM) is one of the ARF regions – we have formed a consortium across the GM Integrated Care System area consisting of the ten local authorities, health and VCSE partners to deliver projects on two themes:

1. Services that reach out to, and involve, unpaid carers through the hospital discharge process. (We have 8 hospital discharge projects across GM currently in the delivery phase across GM)

2. Improving respite options for carers via the community-based care model, Shared Lives through increasing workforce and exploring flexible options to reduce risk of carer breakdowns (Our main, GM wide, projects are delivering a regional communications campaign to raise awareness of Shared Lives and recruit more carers, and developing an early intervention model of Shared Lives supporting people living with dementia).

Gaddum was appointed to provide dedicated infrastructure support to ensure effective coordination and delivery of ARF projects and the GM consortium. This includes secretariat and project management responsibilities, financial oversight, leadership on coproduction, stakeholder engagement, and liaison with national partners.

Role Purpose

The Lived Experience Coordinator will sit within Gaddum’s Coproduction team but work closely with the ARF infrastructure team consisting of Senior Project Manager and Project Administrator and our appointed external marketing and communications partner agency to ensure a seamless, joined-up approach to embedding engagement and coproduction in the ARF in line with the overall project aims and timelines.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that people with lived experience (PWLE) are enabled and empowered to contribute to project design, steering, evaluation, and decision-making processes in the ARF, thereby driving service transformation and improvement across all ten GM Local Authority Social Care Systems and partner organisations. This will include providing expert advice, information and guidance to project teams on embedding coproduction approaches; establishing and supporting a lived experience steering group for our Shared Lives project, supporting the recruitment and development of PWLE representatives, and fostering inclusive, accessible opportunities for their involvement; and leading on a Community Research project to ensure lived experience voices shape the evaluation and subsequent recommendations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Coproduction Support

• Provide specialist information, guidance, and support about service user/carer engagement and involvement to Adult Social Care staff, partners and stakeholders across a range of services and departments in Greater Manchester, either individually to project teams or in our established GM Carers Leads meetings.

• Provide and signpost to best practice tools and resources to support project teams with their coproduction initiatives.

• Compile and share case studies showcasing examples of best practice in coproduction across the ARF consortium to facilitate learning and improvement.

• Maintain records and data and provide regular monitoring reports on outcomes, including end of project evaluation report. Lived Experience Steering group management.

• Set up and provide ongoing management of a new Lived Experience Steering Group consisting of people with lived experience of Shared Lives across GM (carers and service users) ensuring the underpinning principles of coproduction are explained and embedded.

• Manage the recruitment and support of specific members for any additional opportunities.

• Identify and, wherever possible, remove barriers to member participation including but not limited to travel, childcare, carer responsibilities and/or translation costs.

• Ensure Lived Experience Representatives receive inductions and training suitable for their level of engagement and ensure they are properly off boarded when their involvement ends.

• Coordinate regular meetings and events via a hybrid approach of face-to-face and virtual.

• Liaise and collaborate with our external creative agency partner who are leading on the delivery of the Communications and Marketing Campaign for Shared Lives.

• Collaborate with the ARF infrastructure support team (Senior Project Manager and Project Administrator) and relevant ARF subgroups to ensure work is joined up and seamless and feedback loops between the various groups are closed.

• Assist Lived Experience Representatives to capture their experiences into their CV’s or find opportunities in the community where people with lived experience are needed to help develop services, creating links with Gaddum’s Coproduction Management Committee where relevant.

• Maintain records and data and provide regular monitoring reports on outcomes, including end of project evaluation report. Community Research evaluation project.

• Working to an agreed methodology, recruit and support a small group of Community Researchers to lead on ethnographic story collection across the ARF programme to capture on the ground lived experience perspectives.

• Work with key stakeholders across the various ARF project to coordinate the implementation of this project and agree how this will contribute to the overall evaluation of the programme.

• With the group of Community Researchers, lead on the collation and analysis of stories, emerging learning and recommendations, and designing a strategy for presentation of the research for maximum impact.

• Liaise and collaborate with the ARF infrastructure support team (Senior Project Manager and Project Administrator) and relevant ARF stakeholders to ensure project complements other monitoring and evaluation activities and aligns with broader evaluation plans.

• Contribute to Gaddum newsletters, website, and meetings, sharing information and learning form the project.

• Maintain records and data and provide regular monitoring reports on progress and outcomes, including an end of project evaluation report.

• Undertake responsibility for financial procedures related to PWLE remuneration in line with procedures

We’re looking for a motivated and relationship-driven Project Coordinator (Growth & Engagement) to help us build and sustain impactful partnerships that will grow the reach and visibility of our Dog Champion Scheme.

At Street Paws, we believe that no one should be forced to choose between a safe place to stay and the pet they love. For people experiencing homelessness, a pet can be a vital lifeline — providing emotional support, a sense of safety, and unconditional companionship in the most difficult circumstances.

Sadly, most accommodation services do not allow pets, leaving people with an impossible decision: stay with their pet and remain homeless, or enter housing alone. At Street Paws, we work to remove that barrier through compassionate, practical action.

We support homeless pet owners by:

As Project Coordinator (Growth & Engagement), you’ll focus on building relationships with new hostels, expanding awareness of our work, and promoting our training programme and online learning platform. You'll also work with existing partners to make sure they feel supported and are continuing to deliver on their commitments to pet-friendly care.

• Promote and grow the Dog Champion Scheme by identifying and engaging new partner hostels

To help us deliver our vision, we're looking for a passionate, proactive and creative Social Media & Communications Lead

You will be creative and skilled in producing compelling content that wins the hearts and minds of potential service users, donors and funders.  To enable this, you will be expected to work with staff, volunteers including young people, parents and carers to co-design content that is relevant and useful to our target audience.

Content will also be driven using data to promote and amplify the impact of our services and the benefit to children, young people and families.

You will be a proactive, solutions-focused individual with the confidence and initiative to lead projects that raise our profile and generate vital income. This will include delivering impactful online campaigns, supporting charity-led initiatives/ events and strengthening our presence at external events to raise awareness and support for our work.

Working closely with the Income Generation and Partnership Development Manager you will be expected to work collaboratively across the organisation to help us grow our income, work and impact in a sustainable way.

This new role, partially funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund, builds upon the work of the previous Partnerships and Engagement Officer role with an expanded focus on reaching people from multiply marginalised communities.

The main focus of this role will be to increase engagement with our flagship service, the Wizzybug Loan Scheme, expanding the reach of the scheme and ensuring that all children who could benefit from early years powered mobility are aware of the loan scheme and how to apply. Following a gap analysis of existing service users in 2024, this role will seek to create new partnerships and inclusive marketing and communications that will help us reach families with whom we are not currently engaging.

· Experience of working with or delivering services for multiply marginalised communities

· Experience of booking and managing stands at exhibitions and events

We're looking for a Digital Communications Fundraiser who will play a pivotal role in shaping how supporters connect with the hospice's work and help secure its future for the next generation of patients and families.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

This is a brilliant opportunity to take the lead on designing and optimising digital supporter journeys that build lasting relationships and inspire giving. You'll use insight, data, and automation to:

• Build segmented, multi-channel supporter journeys that boost retention, increase lifetime value and enhance the donor experience.
• Identify key moments for personalised communication and ensure each touchpoint reflects the values and voice of Wakefield Hospice.
• Work closely with the fundraising and marketing teams to align campaign messaging and deliver strategic, story-led engagement.
• Analyse supporter behaviour and journey performance to constantly refine, test and optimise.

About You

You'll bring experience of developing insight-led supporter or customer journeys across digital channels. You'll be someone who naturally seeks to understand behaviour and motivations, and you'll be confident using CRM and digital tools to build automated journeys that feel anything but robotic.

A strong communicator, you'll have the ability to translate data into compelling, meaningful content strategies that deepen supporter loyalty and emotional connection. This role would suit a data-savvy communications professional who is as passionate about personalisation as they are about making a difference.

The Hospice has invested in digital development. The Director of Media and Digital income oversees income to the value of £400k with a trajectory for growth. This includes all appeals, promotion of established products like legacy giving and matched funding programmes. The legacy pipeline was redesigned in 2024 with an award winning film “I will 1%” inspired by the work of Richard Ratcliffe. The Hospice is one of over 100 Hospices working with Hospice UK to promote legacy funding at a national and local level with a combined campaign. Investment for the future means The Hospice has a centrally managed people and systems team, this includes management of our CRM (Donify), enabling the Executive Team report on KPIs with internally triangulated data for better decision-making. The Hospice is also working with Finegreen to recruit an interim Head of Philanthropy to review the approach to philanthropy to date and make clear recommendations. A third party will deliver market research to update intelligence on current and potential markets for supporters. With innovation at its core, The Hospice has embedded ‘everyone’s a fundraiser’ into the organisational culture. This includes an embedded fundraiser in clinical services for a faster response whenever a person receiving care and support expresses an interest in becoming a fundraiser.  All of this ensures our Fundraising Directorate can now focus on ‘in real life’ or ‘in person’ fundraising, identifying and working with new cohorts of supporters, assure continued innovation in facilitating meaningful giving experiences, running high profile events to unite people behind a shared cause, challenge events and new approach to philanthropy.

As our Director of Fundraising, you will be an innovative strategic leader, a people person who combines humanity with data driven decision-making. Your role includes leading an experienced team to deliver over £2.5m in income annually and steward £1m in legacies, with the opportunity to make your own appointments to lead philanthropy. As part of the strategy of the Hospice your business case development will deliver an additional ≥£1m by 2028, in a trajectory for growth. An adept storyteller with a passion for Hospice care – you will lead strategic partnerships, working cross sector and operating effectively at Board/Committee. You will be accountable for identifying, testing and implementing fundraising approaches not typically used to date in the sector, including new philanthropy, donor advised funds and social investment models with a pipeline for delivery of new income. You will research and develop strategic alliances built on value exchange, where individuals and organisations come together to define the benefit of this collaboration and commitment to donate/invest. An accessible, visible and credible ambassador you will build networks to garner support across the community. There will be opportunities to represent the Hospice in external partnerships and projects locally and nationally.
