About the role
We are looking for someone who wants to start or develop their career in marketing and digital communications and is interested in social media, email marketing and supporting bold comms campaigns. As part of The King’s Fund’s Marketing and Digital Communications team, you’ll be at the heart of giving colleagues and customers a consistent, creative experience of everything the Fund has to offer – from our engaging events and leadership courses to our latest policy and research work.
You’ll deal with a spectrum of work spanning everything from writing and creating compelling copy; diving into our CRM system to analysis our audience, ensuring data accuracy and managing lists; measuring and evaluating our campaign performance; identifying the latest comms trends, and providing actionable insights. With support from your manager and the rest of the team, it’s a great role to build your expertise and gain valuable marketing and communications experience.
To join us, you’ll need a keen interest in marketing and a blend of creativity and precision to produce clear and engaging marketing materials including for email and social media campaigns. You will enjoy communicating with people, both in person and on paper and be driven by data to help continually improve our results. Attention to detail is important and you will be proficient in Microsoft products including Excel. Beyond this, you must be organised, flexible and as passionate about our work as we are.

- Developing and overseeing integrated marketing and communications plans for the programmes and campaigns – considering objectives, audiences, channels, timelines and KPIs - in close collaboration with Community Integrated Care’s in-house internal and external Marketing and Communications team and operational colleagues, and our partners, to ensure that we reach and empower our target audiences.
- Identifying, delivering and collaborating on profile-raising activations with partners (e.g., events, co-branded campaigns, ambassador activity, PR opportunities) that celebrate the charity, extend reach, and support a more inclusive society, working with Community Integrated Care’s external communications team – including PR and Media, Social Media, Policy & Public Affairs and Design specialists.

The Role

The Role

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator is to provide support in ensuring the
local community is kept informed about Matrix and its projects, as well as engaged in
supporting us. We expect you to be creative, enthusiastic about our cause and an effective
communicator. In this role you will work independently, but in close liaison with the CEO,
Wider Leadership Team and the wider Matrix team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
External Communication
● In collaboration with the CEO, write, edit and coordinate the production and delivery of
all postal and electronic newsletters.
● Plan, prepare and coordinate communication with Matrix donors, supporter Churches
and the wider public.
● Create, plan and schedule posts across all Matrix social media channels.
● Develop original copy for social media platforms, websites, broadcast and printed
advertising materials.
● In collaboration with the Data Coordinator, simplifying complex data into a user-friendly
format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids.
● Ensure Matrix team understand and use the correct branding for internal and external
communications.
