About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Officer (Acquisition) to join our collaborative Individual Giving team.
As an Individual Giving Officer, you’ll lead the delivery of multi-channel campaigns designed to recruit new supporters and the ongoing supporter stewardship of these new donors. You’ll manage acquisition activity across products including cash giving, lottery, and regular giving, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance targets.
You’ll be responsible for the creative development of campaign assets, day-to-day agency collaboration, and the ongoing optimisation of supporter stewardship communications. We are recruiting for a Senior Creative Copywriter to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
Right now, in an era of new breakthroughs in treatments and research, it’s more important than ever that we raise awareness of the devastation of dementia and our mission to create a future where dementia no longer devastates lives. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the senior in-house creative team, inspiring colleagues to produce consistently excellent creative work and nurturing our brand. As Senior Creative Copywriter you will work collaboratively with our design, video, brand, fundraising, marketing and communications teams across the charity, to support income generation and extend our audience reach. You’ll line manage our Fundraising Communications Manager, work in creative partnership with our Senior Creative Designer and collaborate with marketing and communications teams.

About you
Joining us, you’ll be someone who understands the power of great creative and exceptional leadership to inspire action and create a real and lasting change for everyone affected by dementia. You’ll be an expert, hands-on, conceptually and audience-focused Creative Copywriter with the drive to consistently deliver strategic creative work that captivates our audiences.
Crucially, you’ll be a great communicator, with line management experience, who’s keen to build good collaborative relationships. You’ll have experience of delivering bespoke brand workshops and training sessions to a wide range of audiences and you’ll understand the importance of promoting creative excellence and brand messaging consistency across an organisation.
What you’ll focus on:
- Leading on all creative copy concepts for in-house creative projects and composing and crafting engaging copy for campaigns and other comms, across all touchpoints.
- Generating ideas and concepts collaboratively with our designers and videographers to create consistently outstanding creative work across all our creative disciplines.
- Line managing the Fundraising Communications Manager, ensuring workflows, workload and tools facilitate excellence in working practices and delivery.
- Gaining a deep understanding of the Society’s strategies and objectives, key audiences, brand challenges, and project priorities.
- Working with Brand Integration to embed our messaging, proof points and tone of voice to communicate these to the wider organisation, ensuring they are kept up to date and expanded according to the organisation’s strategic needs.
- Develop and delivering training to introduce and embed tone of voice and messaging, running regular specialist writing and creative workshops for marketing colleagues and others across the organisation who create comms materials for our audiences.

About You
As the Philanthropy Manager, you will be a confident and persuasive communicator, comfortable engaging with supporters and stakeholders at all levels. You will have a solid knowledge of philanthropic giving and a deep appreciation of the value of high-quality donor stewardship. Highly organised and detail-focused, you will enjoy working with data and be skilled at producing compelling content both on and offline. You will bring initiative, creativity and the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
You will lead on managing and growing Art UK’s philanthropic giving programme, which includes the Patrons and supporter events programme and our major donor activity. You will be part of a small, committed Development team that raises funds across a broad range of income streams: trusts and foundations, public funding, corporates, high-net-worth individuals, online giving, and patron schemes. You will report to the Head of Development, work closely with the CEO and Chair of the Philanthropy Board, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a pipeline of new philanthropic giving opportunities by researching, identifying and cultivating philanthropic supporters (£1k+) with the potential to give major gifts and multi-year support
- Create and implement donor development plans, working with the Head of Development and colleagues to guide our approach to new philanthropic support
- Develop bespoke cultivation and solicitation strategies, producing creative and compelling proposals to secure substantial philanthropic gifts
- Work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to showcase Art UK’s work and enhance donor engagement
- Create bespoke and compelling written proposals and support senior leadership and board members in the preparation and delivery of high-quality donor pitches to secure new philanthropic partnerships
- Provide exceptional stewardship for new and existing supporters, ensuring they feel valued and can clearly see the impact of their contribution
- Plan and deliver the fundraising and stewardship events programme (with support from the wider team), including attending events where appropriate
- Monitor progress against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including updates to Art UK’s Board of Trustees and the Philanthropy Board
- Ensure pledges and donations are processed efficiently and that donors are thanked promptly and personally
- Work closely with all members of the Development team to ensure prospecting and cultivation activity is aligned and complementary
- Ensure all philanthropic fundraising activity is conducted in line with legal, regulatory and ethical best practice e.g. GDPR and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice

About the role
As Support Services Manager you will support the Lead Myeloma Information Specialist, the Peer Service Co-ordinator and Support Group Co-ordinator to deliver their respective services. In addition, you will deliver personalised, empathetic, and accessible information and support to service users affected by myeloma and its related conditions (such as AL amyloidosis, smouldering myeloma, and MGUS).
You will need to work towards being an internal expert on myeloma, keeping aware of research and clinical developments, current opinions, guidelines and other initiatives in the field of myeloma and related conditions, including the pipeline of myeloma drugs.
As part of the role, you will monitor impact and ensure all services are running in accordance with Service Guidelines, including leading the submission to the Helplines Partnership for re-accreditation as required. You will lead the team in service improvements and new initiatives, working with colleagues from across the organisation to drive impactful changes.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. You will work alongside three other Data Officers to assess, prioritise and provide solutions including the building of data selections and journeys for direct marketing purposes and the running of supporter data imports and exports.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering data selections, Building automated journeys for fundraising and engagement activity to support increased income generation and supporter retention, ensuring communications are delivered to agreed Service Level Agreements.

About You
You will have experience of using CRM Dynamics, Faststats and PeopleStage and or any Donor CRM for marketing purposes. You will receive support while you are learning to use any of the tools and applications the team use and will be actively encouraged in the development of your data and analytical skills. Communication skills play a key part in this role, because you will need to be able to talk through or present selections or solutions to stakeholders.
You will have a proven record of:
