We’re looking for a passionate and creative Marketing and Communications Manager to help us tell Cosmic’s story, engage our incredible supporters, and grow our reach and impact. Key Responsibilities
External Communications
- Collaborate with the team to develop a communications plan to support Cosmic’s calendar of events, income generation and volunteering, taking ownership of its implementation.
- Manage supporter communications through platforms like Mailchimp, including scheduling updates and mail merges.
- Produce and manage the production and distribution of the charity’s supporter newsletter, corporate newsletter, and other direct marketing materials.
- Develop a GDPR compliant method to gather data from families who benefit from Cosmic Service Delivery, to support conversion to fundraising via a Cosmic communication plan and supporter journey
- Create and execute engaging campaigns for Cosmic, based on our service delivery, to generate income.
- Liaise with celebrity partners to coordinate media campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a bank of photographs and ensure media consent forms are obtained and recorded appropriately.
- Assist fundraising teams in sourcing free advertising opportunities for events, such as community group emails and online platforms.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and maximise media opportunities and campaigns that help raise awareness of the Cosmic’s services
- Writing press releases for local, regional and national press covering Cosmic service delivery, events and fundraising campaigns.
- Plan and execute events designed for stewardship and engagement alongside the Cosmic Events Team.
- Support in the development and delivery of the Cosmic ambassador strategy
Internal Communications
- Work closely with supporters, NHS staff, and the NHS Imperial Trust to gather compelling patient, family, unit, and staff stories for promotional purposes.
- Be a visible presence on the wards, building relationships to develop case studies, improve communication, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Keep charity notice boards updated with promotional material.
- Contribute to the quarterly Trustee report.
- Ensure that all communication is clearly logged on the Cosmic CRM solution, Donorfy.
Digital
- Manage Cosmic’s social media channels, developing and implementing a consistent and engaging social media plan to promote the charity’s work, events, and fundraising initiatives effectively.
- Digital transformation of the Cosmic website and other digital channels with a consistent and clear brand, ensuring optimal user experience.
- Create engaging and consistent digital designs for all marketing materials on Canva.
Branding and Merchandising
- Design and create a new range of fundraising merchandise and marketing materials to promote the Cosmic brand.
- Support the fundraising team by developing high-quality materials for proposals, events, and activities, and assist in promoting these initiatives.
- Develop and formalise a clear Cosmic Tone of Voice and charity branding, establishing guidelines for how Cosmic presents itself both internally and externally to ensure consistency and alignment with its mission and values.
- Build a Cosmic library of “curated content” with aligned descriptions of who we are and what we do, tailored for different audiences.
- Ensure all internal templates (letterheads, email signatures etc) use the correct colour palette, format and logo.
Administration
- Build a process to balance and prioritise the requirements and request for digital, marketing and communication support from the Cosmic Team
- Respond effectively to incoming telephone calls and emails, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
- Maintain and update the charity’s database of contacts and supporters, taking the lead in implementing changes to improve data recording and analysis.
- Provide support to charity volunteers during activities.
- Develop engaging and relevant supporter journeys using Cosmic audience personas.
- Regular development and gathering of Cosmic case study materials.
- Evaluate the success of campaigns, setting and tracking key metrics, feeding learnings back into future work in a cycle of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver regular, meaningful reporting on communications, to assist and drive strategic communications and marketing decision making.
General
- Build relationships across Cosmic, NHS units, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Stay informed about fundraising sector trends and identify ways to apply them to Cosmic’s work.
- Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the role, adhering to the charity’s time-in-lieu policy.
- Support PICU/NICU with day-to-day needs, including celebrating milestones, organising activities, or assisting families with specific requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally working within the charity sector.
- Proven success designing and delivering communications plans and campaigns.
- Experience of successfully pitching stories or collaborations to media, journalists and influencers.
- Understanding of how to create engaging content – both written and visual.
- Understanding of how to develop opportunities for coverage and know how to make them happen, and of media and communication trends, with the ability to stay ahead of the curve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Strong digital storytelling skills.
- Experience in creating marketing materials in Canva and managing communications campaigns.
- Experience of managing social media channels, creating content that drive results

Purpose of This Role:
This role sits within NASP’s Communications Team. You will play a key role in developing and delivering NASP’s communications strategy, which aims to:
- Spread the word about social prescribing among health and voluntary sector professionals and equip them with the training and resources they need.
- Increase public awareness of social prescribing.
- Support NASP’s wider work through high quality communications.
You will lead on NASP’s digital communications – including by managing the NASP website and social media, and the Music Can website and social media. You will also lead campaigns and events and ensure that the content NASP delivers is high quality.

The Role
This role will play a crucial part in supporting a wide range of fundraising, marketing, and communications activities for Cosmic. As a key member of the Income Generation team, the individual will help raise vital funds and awareness that enable and enhance the charity’s work, whilst also contributing to the delivery of effective marketing and communications that promote our impact and engage our audiences.
This role requires someone with a genuine interest in working across multiple fundraising areas — from corporate partnerships and community fundraising to individual giving, events and challenges, trusts and foundations, event support for Cosmic led events, and in-memory and legacy giving. You will bring strong organisational, communication, and creative skills to support activity across these streams. In addition, you will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop engaging social media content, enhance brand visibility, and contribute to impactful digital and supporter communications across all of Cosmic’s channels.
This varied and dynamic role will include research, administration, planning, content creation, and creative thinking. You will support the delivery of fundraising activities, events, initiatives, and campaigns, as well as contribute to marketing efforts such as social media, email newsletters, website updates, and storytelling. A key part of the role will be ensuring our supporters, donors, and online audiences receive high-quality, consistent, and engaging communications. With the wider team’s support, the role will also aid the growth of new corporate partnerships.
The role requires someone who is confident, organised, and articulate, with ideas, energy, and enthusiasm to promote the work, need, relevance, and impact of the charity. With such a diverse remit and working within a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will be comfortable multitasking and willing to get involved in a broad range of tasks.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn, has a “can do” attitude, and will be a passionate ambassador for the charity. The individual will have skills in marketing and/or fundraising, which will be transferable. Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Executive and working closely with the wider Income Generation team and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role has scope for development and growth in this small, but impactful charity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising and income generation support
- Working alongside and supporting members of the Income Generation team, gaining a better understanding of the various fundraising and income generation activities.
- Be a key contact for fundraising enquiries.
- Collation and sending of information, including fundraising materials, to potential and current supporters and advising on queries relating to fundraising.
- Support the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising, stewardship and other events.
- Ensure that all fundraising activity operates with the Fundraising Regulator’s guidelines, code of practice and GDPR practices.
- Identify and support opportunities to raise awareness of the charity including giving presentations, attending meetings and local events.
- Aid the growth of individual giving programmes, including regular giving, one-off donations, and donor stewardship journeys.
- Assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
- Maintain accurate donor records using the charity’s CRM system, Donorfy, and ensure data is up to date, accurate, compliant, relevant and reportable.
- Support the planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and community events.
- Assist with event set-up and pack-down, ensuring all materials and equipment are in place.
- Provide excellent donor care and stewardship, including timely thank-you communications and proactive engagement with supporters.

2. Marketing and communications responsibilities
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, the website, and campaign materials to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
- Social media content capture and uploading of activities at all Cosmic led events onto all relevant channels.
- Coordinate social media channels, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Support marketing campaigns for fundraising events, appeals, and awareness initiatives.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure brand consistency across all supporter-facing materials.
- Gather stories, quotes and visuals from beneficiaries, supporters, and partner organisations (with appropriate permissions) to promote activities and support to Cosmic.
- Update and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, compelling, and user-friendly.
- Assist in producing digital assets, such as graphics, short videos, and email campaigns.
- Conduct basic analytics reporting for digital platforms, tracking engagement, reach, and campaign impact.

3. Cross-team and administrative responsibilities

- Liaise with clinical partners, hospital staff, and external stakeholders to gather information that supports fundraising and communications content.

The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research.
One in seven people in the UK live with migraine, and this complex and debilitating neurological disorder significantly affects their lives. We have been leading and bringing the migraine community together to change this since 1965.
Every year we support millions of people through our website and support services on all aspects of migraine and for help in managing it at work, in education, and in accessing healthcare. We campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it. We have funded over 140 medical research projects and hold an international symposium every two years to bring together the world’s leading experts on migraine.
The role
People living with migraine are at the heart of our organisation, while our research highlights the urgent need to reduce the inequity we see for those living with the condition. You will ensure their voices are heard by decision makers and the public and get closer to our vison of ‘a world where migraine doesn’t stop anyone from living the life they want’.
You should be able to deliver high-impact communication campaigns, and have a real interest in policy. A skilled communicator yourself, you will be able to manage a broad role with the ability to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Overall, you’ll bring a desire to create positive change.
You’ll work closely with the CEO and be a key member of The Migraine Trust’s Senior Management team, leading our strategic direction on communications activity alongside targeted public and political campaigns.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the organisation’s 2026 policy and communications plans and coordinate the development of plans and budgets for 2027
- Oversee development and delivery of the charity’s policy and public affairs strategy, ensuring a strong evidence base and meaningful involvement of people living with migraine
- Manage work our public affairs agency to deliver targeted influencing projects to improve migraine care, workplace support, and parliamentary engagement
- Shape policy recommendations and develop strategies to engage key stakeholders including parliamentarians, policymakers, clinicians, employers and partner organisations
- Monitor the external policy environment identifying risks, opportunities and emerging issues relevant to migraine
- Work with the team to develop and execute creative and impactful communications campaigns to raise the profile of the charity and tackle misunderstanding around migraine
- Ensure content across all channels – including media, digital, social and publications - is on brand and reflects our values and core messaging
- Ensure our online presence meets the needs of our stakeholders, and is fit-for-purpose for current and future organisational needs
