About you

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our friendly events team at the British Ecological Society (BES). You’ll need at least one year’s demonstrable experience in delivering high-profile mid-sized events and conferences. You will need a high-level of organisation and reliability as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience of using a CRM and a hybrid event platform. We need a clear and concise communicator who can build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and diverse audiences.

You will assist the BES in the organisation and delivery of our events programme, including our flagship scientific conference, the BES Annual Meeting, which sees 1,200 ecologists gather from around the world and share the latest research.

About the role

Reporting to the Events Manager, the Events Officer will:

• In collaboration with the Events Manager, oversee the delivery of allocated parts of the Society’s Annual Meeting, Symposia, and other events.
• Use digital platforms to support event management and delegate experience -including the website, CRM system, conference abstract management system, Eventbrite, Canva, hybrid conference platforms, Excel, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
• Co-ordinate aspects of event planning including venue search, supplier liaison, catering and accommodation.
• Act as the main point of contact for exhibitors and sponsors, post-sales.
• Maintain and update the programme information on the hybrid event platform for the Annual Meeting.
• Ensure that any agreed branding from sponsors is delivered.
• Provide on-site support at events and go on site visits.
• Develop innovative and creative social media content and digital promotion for the Society’s events.
• Evaluate and monitor success of events portfolio, providing and implementing recommendations where appropriate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production

- Assist with the coordination of email newsletters using CRM platforms as needed.

General delivery duties

About the role

The Media Manager will be responsible for taking charge of the ITF’s global media strategy. We are looking for an experienced media relations professional who can further enhance and solidify ITF’s reputation as the global voice of transport workers and as an authoritative voice in the transport industry and global trade union movement.

We’re seeking an experienced media relations manager, preferably with international experience and with established media relationships amongst leading international media.

The Digital Content Manager role sits in the Knowledge Dissemination Department of the Schools Division. Who we are looking for

We are looking for 2 Senior Digital Officer to join our ambitious and growing type 1 diabetes charity, JDRF, as part of the digital and marketing team. 

You will build our reach by ensuring our website is search engine optimised and will champion optimisation with all content providers across the organisation. You will build landing pages and microsites for fundraising campaigns across various platforms, complete user experience research to develop compelling user journeys and will evaluate the performance of our digital channels. Occasionally, you will also support JDRF’s paid media campaigns. 

An experienced digital professional, you may have worked for a charity before in a similar role. You will be motivated by the latest digital trends and will be familiar with a variety of digital channels. You will be ever-curious, always seeking to improve your skills and adopt new approaches. 

Experience required

You’ll have previous experience of:

• Using website content management systems and other platforms 
• Working with digital agency suppliers including support developers 
• Providing support to multiple teams across an organisation 
• Optimising content for search and accessibility 
• Using data to improve user experience 
• Setting up and monitoring paid media campaigns

PR Manager

Position: PR Manager

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

· Take a proactive approach to gathering NHS staff, member and supporter case studies

· Identify and develop high quality media pitches, spotting slots and opportunities and piggybacking on the news agenda where appropriate

· Build positive working relationships with target journalists

· Monitor and evaluate media coverage and PR activity, sharing coverage with key internal and external stakeholders

· Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the issues affecting the NHS, and the wider political environment support liaison with NHS England, DHSC and other bodies to build relationships and ensure alignment of messages

The role is a hybrid of office and home working, requiring occasional meetings at the Warwick office. The team also meets in London but this is flexible, depending on the location of the successful candidate.

About You

You will have experience working in public relations. You will have experience of leading successful PR media relations strategies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be creative and passionate about delivering impactful work, with a proven ability to be highly organised and manage your own workload.

You will also have:

· Experience in developing and implementing media strategies for a high-profile organisation.

· Demonstrable evidence of successfully pitching to and building relationships with national, regional and sector journalists.

· A strong track record in reactive media management for an organisation in the public eye.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Research & Evaluation Manager in our Social & Behavioural Research team, developing our Behavioural Evidence & Interventions portfolio.

We need you to lead the design, delivery and commissioning of methodologically robust research, evaluation and intervention design covering the prevention, diagnosis, screening and treatment of cancer. This means working closely with academics, stakeholders, policy makers and market research agencies to collect mixed methods data, ensuring we can fulfil our evidence needs and recruit large and diverse samples.

You will also provide consultancy and training to support the delivery of qualitative and quantitative health research, and the application of behavioural/implementation science approaches to ultimately improve cancer outcomes.

What will I be doing?

• Collaborating with internal teams to prioritise and deliver a portfolio of research, evaluation and intervention development/implementation which achieves maximum impact in relation to CRUK's strategic objectives

• Project managing and advising on research, evaluation and intervention development/ implementation, from development of the design and methods to communication or results internally and externally

• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with research, evaluation, behaviour change and implementation experts, making the most of opportunities for collaboration to help achieve CRUK's strategic priorities, including generating academic publications where possible

• Leading the procurement process for the commissioning of external suppliers (e.g. market research agencies)

• Preparing and delivering communications including presentations, reports, peer-reviewed papers and conference presentations/posters to a high standard, working with colleagues and external researchers as appropriate

• Maximising the impact of research, evaluation, intervention development and implementation on internal decision making and external influencing activities through strategic planning, and proactively monitor impact over time

• Using research outputs and knowledge of related research to influence colleagues at all levels to make appropriate changes to their activities, communications, strategic plans and priorities

• Representing behavioural/implementation science and evaluation expertise in PIC and CRUK-wide initiatives including within PIC's governance structure, ensuring visibility of relevant research, evaluation, intervention development and implementation

• Managing a Researcher and Administrator, ensuring delivery of high quality and impactful research, evaluation and intervention development/implementation and supervising/overseeing the work of placement students/interns

• Developing and delivering resources and training to improve the ability of staff across PIC to conduct research, evaluation and intervention design.
  

What skills are you looking for?

• Willingness to work flexibly and adaptably in response to evolving strategic priorities and changes in the external environment

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field, e.g., psychology/ behavioural science/implementation science/ health service research

• Specialist knowledge and extensive experience of research and evaluation methods and analysis (quantitative and qualitative), and how to design behaviour change interventions

• Ability to lead on a defined area of work and deliver through others

• Excellent project management skills; able to oversee the timely delivery of a range of large-scale, complex projects whilst managing competing priorities

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, digital agencies and platform providers to ensure that developments meet quality standards around design, usability, user experience and accessibility, ensuring excellent experiences for our audiences. You will work on a range of platforms and will help to plan and manage day-to-day digital production, including managing two members of the digital team. You will also be a confident advocate for UX and accessibility best practice.
