Key responsibilities
- Write, edit and publish news stories for the World Physiotherapy website and newsletters

Qualifications and experience
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is highly desirable

- Proven experience in marketing, copywriting, or digital content creation
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content management systems (eg, WordPress)

The Biochemical Society are seeking an Events and Training Assistant, on a 12-month fixed term contract, to support the Biochemical Society Events and Training team.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for delegate and general events related queries, ensuring that delegates have registered for events under the correct category, and received payment before the event. You will also set up events in the Events system and manage CPD accreditation applications for all events, collating event feedback and researching potential new sponsors for events.
The post-holder will assist with pre-event and training preparation, and onsite support at events, working closely with the Event Organisers and Conference and Events Manager, with task ranging from sending all pre-event communication, create flash poster presentation using PowerPoint and providing travel guidance to attendees to managing the registration desk, providing A/V support for speakers and handling and promoting marketing material at events and engaging with delegates, along with other duties as required by the Conferences and Events Manager.
The Events and Training Assistant will travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.

About the role

Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. CoramBAAF is the UK's leading membership organisation for professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people in care. About the role
The Senior Communications and Marketing Officer works across the varied functions and services of CoramBAAF including policy and practice, membership, publications, and training and events. The postholder will be involved in developing, delivering and monitoring communications tools and channels, building networks, and increasing engagement with CoramBAAF members, the children’s services sector and the wider general public.
This role will suit an enthusiastic and experienced communications and marketing professional with a passion for engaging audiences across multiple channels and experience of planning and delivering marketing activity and collateral, brand development, corporate publications, audio-visual content, targeted campaigns and digital media.
The Senior Communications and Marketing Officer is responsible for devising and delivering a programme of regular membership and customer communications using a range of tools and platforms to achieve this and to monitor effectiveness. They will plan and implement the production of high-quality marketing materials, communication tools and content (written, audio and visual) that raise awareness, drive engagement and generate take up of CoramBAAF’s member benefits and services. The postholder will maintain and develop brand assets to ensure all communications remain effective and consistent.
