About Dravet Syndrome UK
Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.
The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.
What you will bring
Essential
· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.
· Hands-on experience managing websites (using WordPress), delivering e-marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp or similar), and applying SEO principles and other techniques to optimise digital communications and online visibility.
· Demonstrable experience in media relations, including writing press releases, working with case studies and successfully pitching and responding to a range of media (online, press, radio, broadcast)
· Demonstrable experience of working in charity, patient advocacy or healthcare sectors
· Ability to deal with people at all levels with empathy, tact and credibility

As the Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape and deliver the legacy and in-memory giving fundraising programme that will maximise the lifetime value of supporters. This role will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing budget of £600k and an income target of £240k. With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.

About the role:
We are looking for a very confident, outgoing go-getter who loves using their gregarious personality to influence and enthuse people to get results but also enjoys being organised with strong admin processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has been involved in influencing organisations, businesses and groups or individuals to sign up to our range of challenge events, such as marathons etc. You will be a part of a small but dynamic marketing and fundraising team and working with another Events and Engagement Officer colleague (who works 2 days a week), you both will be focusing mainly on filling and retaining places for our challenge events.
This is a critical role for generating essential funds for the charity. You will love a challenge and be goal orientated. It is a varied role, and you will be someone who loves to multitask; you may be emailing supporters or potential fundraisers, making action plans, promoting, contacting organisations, or attending and speaking at events. You will thrive in this role if you love being organised and doing admin, but love being “out and about” interacting, influencing and motivating people to sign up to participate in challenge events and fundraise for us. Please note that you will need to carry, load up and set-up event materials from our office to events, often on your own. It is essential you have access to transport and must have a full, clean driving licence. We are a very small team, so you will need to have the confidence and willingness to meet with organisations and attend events on your own.

We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Manager, who is passionate about driving change and has knowledge and experience of Communications and managing staff. This is a temporary post, whilst we go out to recruitment for a permanent post, during the busiest time of the year for White Ribbon.
The post holder will be leading our national flagship campaign – White Ribbon Day (25th November) and the following 16 days of activism, ensuring existing plans are fully developed and delivered and the campaign meets its goals and targets.
This will involve managing and working with the Campaigns Officer, the Communications Officer and a freelance and part time Project Officer (for the Portraits Project) and additional freelance and part time Communications Officer (for social media). You will need to manage our outsourcing contract with PIC PR (marketing agency) in an effective manner, to achieve our campaign goals.
Close working with the Business Development Manager and the Accreditation and Training team will be required.
You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Board of Trustees on the success of the campaign.
You will need to manage the project budget, reporting to our Finance Manager, and ensure that our campaign sponsors are happy.
