London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s Fire and Rescue Service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.
We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the internal communication team at London Fire Brigade. The team is in the process of modernising and streamlining the organisation’s communication channels to improve the experience for firefighters, other operational colleagues, and headquarters teams.
Modernisation and evolution of our digital channels is a key part of our ambition. The team is in the process of piloting digital screens in fire stations, with a view to rolling out an agile system to all 102 fire stations across London.
Alongside this, the team is rationalising regular newsletters into more agile online publications, and evaluating opportunities to better use app-based communication within a growing digital channels portfolio. We are continuously improving our SharePoint-based intranet and looking for ways to make it easier and more intuitive for colleagues to find the information they need to do their roles, and to keep up with the latest developments across the Brigade.
The role is London-based and requires at least 40% in-office working to facilitate collaborative working with stakeholders.
This role provides an opportunity for an excellent digital communications practitioner to lead the development and delivery of our internal digital communications strategy, and to extend their capability and experience as part of a can-do, friendly team.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, support the personal and professional development of our members and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.
Main Purpose
The RCOphth provides education, support and professional development for ophthalmologists of all grades and across all of their roles. It also contributes to education in eye care and ophthalmology for undergraduate medical students and practitioners in other medical specialties and ophthalmic professions. The RCOphth aims for all its audiences to be able to access the ophthalmology education they need, when and where they want it, and in the form most appropriate for the learner and the learning material.
This role is an exciting new opportunity for you to play a leading part in the development and delivery of our digital learning provision.
You will work closely with colleagues and editors/co-editors to ensure that this membership benefit is valued by the membership and external audiences and their experience when using the platform is optimised.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the INSPIRE digital learning platform (Brightspace)
- Work with Editors, Co-Editors, Instructors and Contributors on the production of high-quality digital learning materials in terms of content, level and educational rigour

Editors/Co-Editors/Instructors/Contributors
- Provide support to Editors and Co-Editors in loading resources onto the INSPIRE platform and integrating them to create learning materials. This will entail formatting and editing text, images and video for house style and grammar whilst maintaining medical/scientific accuracy.
- Checking consent and clearing copyright/licensing permissions for materials used in INSPIRE.
- Organising Editor and Co-Editor meetings and workshops.
- Create mechanisms to obtain user feedback on learning materials and evaluate the platform to direct change.
Communications/Liaison
- Liaise with internal colleagues in the Department, the Communications Team and external stakeholders in relation to the development and promotion of online resources.
- Liaising with College staff from other departments about current and future projects that require support from INSPIRE or will generate learning materials for the platform.

Job Description: Training and Events Officer
The Training and Events Officer will play a key role developing and delivering high quality professional development, training, events, workshops to SLA members and wider audiences. The postholder will develop inspirational, insightful and innovative routes to supporting SLA members to deliver on their school library provision remit, enabling children and young people to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education and training.
You will work with the CEO, SLA colleagues and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a comprehensive training offer, including leading on logistics planning and delivery of our flagship annual conference. In addition, you will develop and maintain a calendar of exciting events and opportunities to share knowledge and insight, working with colleagues to ensure the offer is timely and informative. RISE is a collaborative effort with the goal of delivering a unified approach to women’s empowerment in global supply chains. Bringing together the world’s four largest women’s empowerment programs in the global supply chains - BSR’s HERproject, CARE International, Gap Inc.’s P.A.C.E. Pillar 1: Capacity Strengthening: Working in factories in key countries, RISE will achieve impact with a network of local civil society partners and organizations working on gender equality to deliver worker capacity building programs. We are looking for a Community Fundraising Manager to develop our fundraising ambitions and work with our community.
This is a varied and interesting role which will give you the opportunity to see your impact first-hand, as you will be interacting daily with people whose lives are affected by PANS or PANDAS. You will also provide logistical and project management support on fundraising events.
Our small community means that our fundraisers tend to be families affected by PANS or PANDAS. We are passionate about creating opportunities for members of our community to support us in ways that create joy in their own lives. We intend that fundraising activities and events should help tackle the isolation and other difficulties that are faced by those living with these complex and misunderstood conditions.

Role: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 40 / week
Location: Berlin or Remote (ideally within Germany, Poland, Netherlands, UK, South Africa or Czechia)
Reports to: Head of ProVeg Incubator
Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership: You will own and continuously evolve the structure, content, and delivery of the Incubator programme.
- Curriculum Development: You will curate and coordinate a world-class curriculum, including workshops, expert talks, and networking events.
- Startup Support: You will work hands-on with leading startups in the food tech space, coaching and supporting them during and after the programme on strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market topics.
- Impact & Knowledge Management: You will build and manage knowledge-sharing systems, KPIs, and programme impact tracking.
- Community Building: You will expand our global mentor network and stakeholder community.
- Startup Selection: You will contribute to the selection process of startups in close collaboration with the team.
- Trend Monitoring: You will stay ahead of trends in food innovation and identify high-potential startup teams early.
- Budget Management: You will manage the programme budget and ensure effective resource allocation.
- Representation: You will represent the Incubator at industry events and within the broader startup ecosystem.
Qualifications
- You hold a degree in Business, Economics, Innovation, Food Tech, or Biotechnology - or bring equivalent hands-on experience.
- You have 1-2+ years of experience in programme or project management, ideally within a startup incubator, accelerator, or entrepreneurship support organisation.
- You have a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and the food innovation landscape.
- You bring excellent organisational and communication skills and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- You have experience coaching or working with early-stage startups.
- You are passionate about sustainable food systems and supporting mission-driven founders.
- You are outgoing and confident and enjoy networking and representing the Incubator and ProVeg with professionalism.
- You are driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and food innovation and want to help startups succeed and build a more sustainable food system.
- You work proactively and think creatively to generate original and relevant ideas to continuously improve the incubation and acceleration programme.
