The Volunteer Manager will lead efforts to further grow and diversify our volunteer base, ensuring consistent quality across sessions and fostering a vibrant, connected volunteer community. The Initiatives and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in the Trust’s Initiatives and Partnerships Team. The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Trust’s projects, manage team members and on occasion support external and partnership projects. Our work is varied, ranging from early-stage feasibility planning, partnership development, fundraising, business planning and design development, as well as supporting our conservation team who lead construction phase oversight. 

This role builds on the successes of the Trust’s longstanding Regeneration programme, which has undertaken pioneering Regeneration projects addressing some of our most pressing conservation needs, as well as developing new operating models for some of the churches in our care. About This Job

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. Stewarding fundraisers, helping to develop new and existing fundraising campaigns, building relationships internally within the cadet organisations and externally with Trusts and Foundations, corporates and major givers. You will provide administrative and operational support, including maintaining the fundraising database. Working closely with the rest of the Development team and in particular the Marketing department to ensure that both charities can provide increasing financial support to cadets and adult volunteers across the UK.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with  experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations. 
Purpose of Role

This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.

In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits. 

The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.

· Raise funding with compelling case for support from sponsors/from individuals, to meet the targets of the Major project, and  fundraising from other sources such as grants, as agreed.

· Contribute to managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring accuracy of data and information on BBG’s Spektrix/CRM system to comply with internal requirements and the Data Protection Act.

· Work with Horticultural, Marketing, Learning & Engagement, Finance Teams and other staff to formulate proposals, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions and projects, once the capital is secured.

· Manage funding contracts with sponsors and those of all Development funders -including payment schedules, high quality impact reports, monitoring and compliance with any conditions of funding.

· High quality personalised stewarding of all donors and supporters, ensuring BBG’s reputation as an exemplary charity is maintained. Respectful approach in all fundraising.

· Research and cultivating funding prospects and submitting high quality well-researched applications, securing new supporters and interest within the wider funding strategy.

· Work with Marketing to manage fundraising messaging and communications, including digital, print and press coverage, all in accordance with fundraising regulation. Liaise with BBG Finance staff to ensure reporting meets BBG’s wider business and charitable requirements.

The organisation offers a flexible working environment, with a fully remote working pattern and salary between £35-40k dependant on experience. This role will require occasional travel for engagement activities.

Harris Hill is delighted to be working with a leading UK charity to recruit a Digital Fundraising Manager, for a 13-month maternity cover contract, starting in January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and compassionate organisation. The role is offered as a part-time opportunity (3.5 days p/w), working from home.

Working within a dynamic Community and Events Team, this role will oversee a digital fundraising programme that currently raises over £2.1 million annually. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of three and delivering a busy calendar of digital events, driving innovation and engagement while maintaining world-class supporter experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy and delivery of the charity’s digital fundraising events.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of digital fundraising staff.
• Build and optimise paid social media campaigns across key platforms.
• Develop and deliver exceptional supporter stewardship programmes.
• Build and manage relationships with agencies, partners and stakeholders.

About You:

You’ll bring proven experience in digital fundraising or similar income-generating digital roles, be a confident project manager, able to oversee multiple campaigns and meet KPIs and have strong experience with paid social media advertising and digital supporter journeys.

Contract Details:

Individual Giving Manager

The Individual Giving Manager will drive and deliver the Charity's ambitious fundraising strategy across all individual giving streams. You'll create, test, monitor and evaluate multi-channel appeals and campaigns; lead on Legacy and In-Memory programmes; and manage lottery, raffle, and associated products; building strong pipelines, journeys and propositions that inspire support for their mission.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and working closely with Income Generation and Marketing colleagues, you will champion an excellent donor experience; maximising retention and lifetime value while acquiring new supporters at sustainable ROI. You'll use data-led insights, segmentation and test-and-learn methods to optimise performance, ensure compliance and best practice, and embed robust reporting across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrable experience of delivering and growing individual giving, with a track record in audience segmentation, copy and creative development, journey mapping, and campaign evaluation. You'll be collaborative, values-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally to deliver against income targets while safeguarding supporter care and brand integrity.

The Soldiers' and Aviators' Scripture Readers Association (known as SASRA) is one of the longest-established Christian charities supporting the British Armed Forces. Under Royal patronage and working with over 70,000 soldiers, 30,000 RAF personnel and some 10,000 supporters of various types, we look to introduce members of the British Armed Forces to a practical experience of the Christian faith. 

We are now looking for home-based Regional Managers to help us engage with the Christian public across the UK.

The main function of Regional Managers is to bring before the Christian public the work we do taking the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing a practical experience of the Christian faith to the young people of the British Army and Royal Air Force.

The Regional Manager will present in churches, manage a team of volunteers, establish and maintain strategic partnerships across their region, lead regional projects and events, and produce and curate a wide variety of content.

The aim is to stimulate and encourage prayer, financial support and volunteering in support and furtherance of the work of SASRA, always respecting the interdenominational nature of our ministry. You will shape and grow the fundraising activities in the region and meet with supporters.

You will have excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills. You’ll also have experience of managing and motivating individuals or groups. Critically, you will possess the spiritual endowment to promote prayer and missionary interest for the Lord's work through the Association in HM Forces.

You will be home-based, but expected to travel inside your region on a regular basis, meeting with supporters and supporting organisations that are raising funds for SASRA

You will be responsible for raising our profile among the Christian community and generating significant levels of engagement with potential supporters of SASRA (both individuals and churches)

Some aptitude for, and experience of, pastoral work is desirable.

The role comprises:

· Engaging with the Christian public and speaking in churches to raise SASRA’s profile

· Liaising and co-operating with HQ staff, Scripture Readers, Advocates, Representatives, Members, Chaplains and Commanding Officers.

· Recruiting and organising teams of volunteers

· Arranging events for local supporters

· Leading the flagship event and other projects in your region

· Maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders

· Handling money and overseeing the accounting, costing, and billing of your activities

· Visiting and supporting Scripture Readers

· Staying in touch with veterans and members

· Producing and curating written, photo and video content.

Technical Capabilities:

You'll need some basic IT skills and a familiarity with social media, but training will be provided. Good spreadsheet or project management skills would be an advantage, as would any experience with producing marketing material and/or infographics.
