The Head of Public Fundraising (Interim) will work across the organisation, including with colleagues in our Innovation Team and wider Fundraising, Communications, Advocacy and Fundraising teams based in Belfast and London, a total of 13 team members. You will lead a passionate and committed team across Concern UK’s portfolio of individual giving, legacy giving and community & challenges and events.

Essential Experience
• Broad experience of a range of donor recruitment techniques, including face-to-face, direct mail and digital fundraising techniques and strategies.

• Significant experience of community and public events fundraising.

Summary and key purpose
This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.
A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.
Your expertise and skills:
To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.
The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. The Coordinator will manage day-to-day digital content, respond to online enquiries, and support internal teams with their communications needs. The Role
With the support of the Head of Individual Giving you will be responsible for campaign planning, testing, creative development, researching content and images for new appeals, agency management and delivery, making sure that any appeal is run efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
Support acquisition activity including media/list selection, creative development and testing, optimising existing campaigns.
You will be supported in working to the existing budget but will be able to influence and input into future financial planning from the results of your campaign tests and your negotiation skills with our suppliers.
Assist with the development of in memory, legacy marketing and newsletter development.
The Candidate
Demonstrable experience in working on direct marketing campaigns for a charity.
Ideally experience of supporting direct mail, telemarketing, email and online campaigns.
Experience of using a fundraising database for charity CRM.
Proven copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills, with ability to tailor copy to the audience.

The Dollywood Foundation UK runs Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the UK, the worlds largest book gifting programme. Over the last 30 years the Imagination Library has delivered nearly 300 million books to children globally. As Senior Social Media Officer, you will promote greater public awareness and understanding of the British Red Cross using our social media channels – everything from Facebook to TikTok.

What you’ll bring to the role…

- You have demonstrable examples of successful pieces of work and campaigns delivered, ideally in an NGO or aid agency context.
- Project Management - Lead on projects as the main social media representative. Managing multiple campaigns at once and coordinating work with other departments, regional and international colleagues.
- Prioritisation: ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-changing environment, being reactive to news and emerging crises.
