FUNDRAISING EVENTS OFFICER
Salary: £30,000 pa. Permanent - based in Teddington Greater London
The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) aims to create and develop the conditions that will enable people who have Down's syndrome to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Fundraising Events Officer to join our fundraising team.
Reporting to the Fundraising and Events Manager, the successful candidate will manage all challenge events in the portfolio. This includes the planning, organisation, marketing, delivery, recruitment and stewardship of participants and day to day administration for all DSA events.

The Main Responsibilities of the role are:
Assist the Fundraising and Events Manager with future event plans and creating and building on our Community Fundraising offer.
Managing the Events Inbox; Replying to all enquiries coming into the inbox.
Sending out application forms via email and any other information requested by the supporter.
Input all application form information onto Saleforce, ensuring GDPR is adhered to at all times. Set reminders on all records – FR chasing, Good Luck emails, Thank You Letter reminders, etc. to keep on top of everyone’s supporter journey.
Assist in the sale of items from the shop- especially Christmas cards, socks and merchandise.
Work closely with the Communications Team to develop promotional plans for each event maximising recruitment and exposure through our newsletter and social media platforms.
Provide support to your team members during particularly busy times (and vice versa) such as Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week.
Attend and participate in events as required. This may involve occasional evening and weekend work, for which you will receive equal time back in lieu.
To work in conjunction with the Fundraising Team in the production of budgets and in developing and implementing the Events teams strategic plans in order to maximise income and support across our events programme.
Identify and research new opportunities to develop the events programme and maximise income as well as maintaining and extending the existing events which generate a healthy ROI.
Work with the membership officer to develop relationships with members, supporters who participate in events taking responsibility for the supporter journey; providing motivation and encouragement from start to finish to ensure they continue to support.
Evaluate the current processes and procedures with the Fundraising and Events Manager and implement improvements where necessary.
Manage the fundraising pages of the website ensuring copy is up to date and relevant and those events that require extra marketing are featured on the home page.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Fundraising Manager that fall within the grade and remit of this post.

For a complex, global organisation (100 million users in 100+ countries), we're recruiting a Digital Marketing, Head of Website Transformation for a 12-month FTC (with potential to extend to 3-years). ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on the launch of a new RG proposition and ensure that the onboarding and onward journey is fit for purpose.
- Look for opportunities to thank our donors and communicate impact at key moments.
- Work with key stakeholders to ensure we grow our Regular Giving file, through acquisition as well as retention.
- Manage a variety of individual giving fundraising campaigns, from agency briefing, through to launch, meeting six figure campaign targets.
- Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
- Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
- Work with the Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
- Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
- Manage donor research and mystery shopping as required, using insights to inform creative decisions.
- Manage campaign fulfilment. Monitor responses to identify issues and opportunities.
- From time-to-time support with Donor Care activities if required.
- Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs.
- Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes.
- Share creative and insights with UK colleagues, global markets and HQ, participating in training seminars, workshops and international skill shares where applicable.

You will lead the marketing and communications function and manage the Marcomms team, continually developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies clearly articulating TFP’s vision, aims, projects and services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Leadership
· To play a role together with the CEO and the Director of Policy and Place in setting the overall vision of the organisation and ensuring delivery specifically in relation to the agreed business plan.
· Have a key role working closely with the Board and relevant sub-groups.
· To represent the organisation publicly as required, and step in for the CEO as required.
Member Engagement
· Driving, developing and ensuring implementation of the member engagement strategy.
· Ensuring effective account management contact with member businesses.
· Developing a detailed mid-term consultation and review.
- Overseeing market research and consultation such as surveys, customer questionnaires and focus groups to inform the development of plans, projects and services.
· Ensuring effective response management to enquiries from members (levy paying businesses) and stakeholders.
· Ensuring the company database is maintained as an accurate source of interactions with businesses and members, and is actively utilised to best effect.
· Ensure a programme of engagement is in place with the business community, charities and Not for Profit organisations to develop outreach projects including volunteer days and CSR activities for our business members.

Projects
· Developing, refreshing and ensuring implementation of project specific communications (new and existing).

· Identifying and securing brand-aligned sponsorships to enhance destination campaigns.
· Driving joint marketing with businesses, tourism and media partners.
· Structuring BID renewal communications based on insights gained throughout the BID term.
Communication and Marketing Channels and Collateral
· Ensuring production of high quality and effective collateral.
· Considering and where appropriate developing new communications channels.
· Ensuring TFP’s messaging is clear, effective, accurate and alive to different audiences and local and other sensitivities.
Team Leadership
· Leading and developing a high-performing, collaborative MarComms team
· Managing MarComms budgets, procurement, KPIs, forecasting and reporting to ensure best value and effective impact.
