We are looking for an experienced Head of Communications to lead on all of our external communications in the UK. You will have overall responsibility for brand, content, digital and social media, media/PR and celebrities, leading a team of 9 in a Fundraising and Communications Directorate of 35. The Communications team has grown considerably in recent years, with investment in digital mobilisation, content, brand and celebrity management now paying off. Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

· Local employer supporters, corporate partners supporters, other key local stakeholders and networks

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to ensure your Regional Action Board supports you (develop a great relationship with them, set and agree targets and meet with Chair regularly).

· Develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors (one for each student participating) is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

This Includes:

o Promoting Career Ready to potential supporters, engaging their commitment.

o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.

o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes  

o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_

o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.

o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations

General

· Promote a commitment to high standards of service, and to equality of opportunity through leadership and good practice.

· With the Chief Executive, Director of Programmes and Operations, and Heads of Programmes , monitor the state of Career Ready in the region and seek ways to promote its achievements and improve the service given by the central staff team.

· Attend meetings and training days with the national team (approximately 2 times a year – these have tended to take place in London).

· Ensure that all regional management information is submitted to the national Salesforce database in a timely and accurate way.

· In collaboration with the Career Ready team, raise our and key stakeholders’ profile in the area, celebrating success via socials and the local media, business and education communities.

· Undertake public speaking as required to promote the work of Career Ready in the area.

Do you have a passion to support people after an addiction and enable them to lead more fulfilling, purposeful lives? Do you want to raise awareness in communities about where to seek support after gambling harm and help break down the stigma around gambling addiction?

We are seeking an energetic and highly organised individual to join our team as Community Outreach Manager to manage our new REACH programme – building relationships with voluntary and community organisations to help them support others who may struggle to overcome gambling harm - working especially with hard-to-reach audiences and ethnic minority groups.

Lived experience of gambling harm (either directly or indirectly) is an advantage but not essential requirement for this role as you will be collaborating with colleagues who will contribute their lived experience insights to inform REACH activities that you project manage. But you must be passionate about making a difference and excited by the opportunity to transform lives, support people in recovery and be sensitive to their needs.

You will work hands-on to organise and facilitate delivery of a wide range of REACH activities with community organisations including workshops, lived experience events, drop-in advice sessions and social media activities - aiming to reach diverse audiences, reduce stigma and encourage wider discussion about gambling harms recovery.

This exciting role will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop a strategy, plan and key performance metrics for digital donor acquisition and fundraising. Already expert and excited by digital fundraising campaign development, you’ll have a unique combination of creative and business skills. These will enable you to create engaging digital content and through your expertise in paid search, google grants and paid social, optimise the ROI for Starlight in terms of donor engagement, acquisition, and income. You’ll be curious and take time to understand how we’re supporting children in healthcare settings which will enable you to create content that resonates with our key audiences. Finally, alongside strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, you will be proactive and results-driven with a ‘can do’ attitude to work.

The Role (30hrs per week)

· To provide day to day management and supervision of our remote Support Team, providing guidance and support to deliver appropriate information and advice for our mums and families.

· Provide casework support to Mummy’s Star families.

· Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement consistent processes and ensure appropriate training and development for the Support Team.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the Support Team at Mummy’s Star. More specifically you will be responsible for:

Support Team Management (50%)

• Provide quality support, leadership, development and line management
• Oversee the delivery of individual, tailored support for families

· Regular review and assessment of caseload including co-ordinating weekly caseload meetings and management of new grant application flow to Trustees.

· Work with the support team to regularly monitor, evaluate and report on the support provided by Mummy’s Star.

· Act as Lead Professional in complex cases if required.

· Working with the CEO and Operations Manager to ensure the wider team has appropriate resources and support around wellbeing

· Complying with the charity’s administration, monitoring and financial systems

· Working in close partnership with health care professionals, charities, and other key stakeholders

· Work with the Operations Manager to develop new engagement tools for families to improve accessibility.

· Assist the team to co-ordinate the Ask the Expert events and other resources

· Contribute to, and support the development of, the charity locally, regionally, and nationally

Information and Support Casework Delivery (50%)

· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)

· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.

· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals. 

· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.

Other Duties and information about the role

· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as required to support the charity and beneficiaries.

· Some evening and weekend work may be required but time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given for this.

ROLE SUMMARY

Programme Managers (PMs) lead and support  a team of Programme Coordinators (PCs), Programme Leaders (PLs) and Junior Programme Managers (JPMs) to successfully deliver upReach’s STEM programmes, including the Engineering Springboard, Tech Springboard and future STEM Springboards/ programmes. 

A PM will be responsible for ensuring teams are equipped to deliver programme outcomes and OKRs, whilst overseeing and maintaining strong partner relationships and ensuring team professional development. They will also directly work with their own group of Associates.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Programme Manager, you will lead and support a team of PCs and/or PLs to complete their day-to-day tasks. At this stage, you are responsible for having a wide impact across your programmes and the charity as a whole, as well as maintaining high-quality personalised support for your own Associates.

1) PROGRAMME DESIGN AND DELIVERY

• Make decisions concerning the design and delivery of your programmes, creating a 12-month plan in advance of the start of each recruitment cycle. 

• Plan student recruitment activities in collaboration with partners and via social media, in addition to the onboarding process. This will include working with the Student Attraction Leader and Senior Marketing Officer to efficiently meet onboarding targets.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of your programmes with overarching responsibility for meeting internal engagement and application success OKRs, which you will utilise throughout the year to set priority areas for your team.

• Contribute to weekly Programme Manager meetings, sharing your insight and experience to generate ideas and practical solutions that support the overall improvement of upReach’s programme design and delivery. 

• Lead on parts of the weekly Delivery Meeting with the wider team, to ensure weekly focus areas and key team messages are communicated clearly to all PCs and PLs. 

  2) TEAM MANAGEMENT

• Manage a team of Programme Coordinators/Leaders/Junior Managers in a variety of locations, both virtually and in person - providing ongoing personal and professional development support through weekly 1-to-1 calls or meetings, written feedback on documents, or day-to-day guidance via Slack. 

• Support Programme Coordinators / Programme Leaders/Junior Managers to provide high quality personalised support to their Associates, which includes helping them to document all interactions with Associates and application progress.

• Use relevant impact dashboards and data to set priorities for your team and support with competing workload demands and time management, to ensure that OKRs and stakeholder KPIs are achieved.

• Manage the performance and development of your team - including setting SMART professional development goals and utilising a range of resources and tools where necessary to help your team perform successfully in their roles. You will have regular, open and supportive discussions with your team members, giving feedback in your weekly 1-to-1s and your mid- and end-of-year appraisals.

• Support your direct reports through a Leadership and Management apprenticeship, if this is something your direct reports choose to do after 18 months on the FCLP.

• Be part of the upReach Leadership Team and contribute to forming the strategy and direction of the charity. This also includes passing on team feedback to your manager and the leadership team and proposing practical solutions. 

3) PARTNERSHIPS & EVENTS

• Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including managing quarterly/annual reporting requirements on aims and objectives. 

• Help your team to manage day-to-day partnership responsibilities, and coach them in relationship management. This will also involve supporting PCs/PLs where necessary to set boundaries with partners and sensitively manage requests that are outside the parameters of our contractual agreements.

• Support Programme Coordinators/Leaders/Junior Managers in smoothly running events and application processes, both in your team and within the wider team where necessary. 

• Work with the partnerships team to make strategic decisions regarding how to grow upReach's existing and new partnerships.

4) OVERSEE A DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITY AREA, ROTATION OR PROJECT

• Manage a Delivery Responsibility area, rotation or project. This will involve meeting with the relevant team regularly (often weekly or bi-weekly depending on the time of year/focus area), and guiding those working on this area with you.

• Manage your team to complete the objectives outlined for your area, setting clear actions and deadlines. Coach and provide guidance where needed.

• Provide regular feedback to the Programme Management team and where necessary present key findings and updates to the wider team. This may also involve supporting your team to present during the Delivery Meeting and/or Team Meeting.

5) ASSOCIATE ENGAGEMENT

• Engage a smaller group of your own Associates, engaging them with the upReach programme in line with OKRs.

• Acting as a role model for PCs, PLs & JPMs, ensuring Associate facing tasks are completed to a high quality, such as completing Trello and Task Tracker actions.

• Proactively use data dashboards to monitor Associate engagement across your programme(s), identifying any areas of concern throughout the year and setting focus areas/action steps for your team to address these.

EXPERIENCE

To be successful, it is anticipated that you would have prior experience in the delivery of programmes and projects.

Essential experience:

• Experience in programme delivery from end to end, from design to reporting and evaluation.

• Experience working directly with key stakeholders to manage and grow a relationship and/or partnership.

• Line management or team leadership experience.

• Experience designing and delivering training or learning & development content.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and working independently to find solutions to problems.

• Ability to engage and flex communication style confidently with a variety of stakeholders, such as beneficiaries, upReach partners and all levels of employees across the organisation.

• Strong collaboration skills when working in both small and large teams of varied team members.

• Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as independently, with a creative and a proactive attitude.

• Excellent influencing, facilitation and communication skills (both oral and written) and comfortable preparing and presenting reports and proposals to senior management and external stakeholders.

• University degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience

The Role

This full-time, remote position offers flexible hours and the chance to make a real impact. Job Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop engaging and original content for our social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
• Social Media Management: Oversee and manage our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok), ensuring regular posting, audience engagement, and growth.
• Video Production: Create and edit video content for various platforms, including Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Community Engagement: Engage with our online community, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Campaign Development: Plan and execute online campaigns to raise awareness and support for our projects and initiatives.
• Analytics: Monitor and report on social media metrics to track the success of campaigns and content, and adjust strategies as needed.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to align online communications with overall organizational goals and strategies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in online communications, social media management, or a related field.
• Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
• Video production and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling video social mediacontent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing.
• Experience working within the charity sector is a plus but not essential.
• A deep understanding of and commitment to trans and LGBTQ+ issues.

Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors (London) - £29,000  per annum plus London Weighting (pro-rata)

Here at One Million Mentors, our aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that investing in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion.

This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; a Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors, and Regional Manager for Programme Delivery.

The Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors focuses on mentor supply, securing sufficient volunteers primarily for London and also for 1MM’s national outreach. It’s the perfect role for a candidate whose passions and strengths align with large scale outreach for volunteers so that no young people on those programmes miss out.

The role is responsible for overseeing high-quality sourcing of volunteers to join as 1MM Mentors, in London and nationally. This includes partnership development, online site listing, and matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of some corporate programmes. Also to consider safeguarding measures, fundraising, meeting growth targets and leading all aspects of mentor management. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Providing ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Employers, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be highly motivated, and results driven. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a strategy to enhance Action4Youths profile. This role is key in promoting brand awareness, engaging audiences, driving traffic and will enable the success of increased sales and fundraising.

You will lead on the creation of engaging content plans to promote Action4Youth’s work to multiple audiences, across multiple channels including PR, web, social media, e comms and print to increase engagement amongst partners, supporters and donors.

This job combines management responsibilities with being hands on and will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who is practical and able to get things done effectively.

Key areas of responsibility:

Strategy

• Supported by the Development Director, lead on the development and implementation of our marketing and communications strategy to position the charity and influence its many audiences.
• Develop engaging campaigns and events, from inception to implementation, to grow brand awareness, sales of our programmes and facilitate community fundraising.

· Lead on the formation of engaging and creative project plans to activate successful campaigns across all channels.

Marketing

· Take overall responsibility for the production and implementation of creative and compelling multimedia content, including, scheduling, reporting and analysis for driving and improving results.

· Analyse and report performance metrics and insights by producing regular performance, reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI reports in order to monitor the effectiveness of digital activity.

· Ensure the website works for optimum customer and visitor journey to improve analytics and ensure content and pages are easily accessible.

· Create and co-ordinate digital advertising and email marketing activity to support campaigns and organisational goals and provide reports to monitor effectiveness.

• Collate and prepare all marketing materials for a range of print collateral to support the charities work and define distribution and dissemination channels.

Communications

· Be the PR and media lead by planning, developing, and implementing PR and media strategies.

• Generate story-worthy press releases to facilitate coverage, increase awareness of all areas of service provision and elevate campaigns.

· Work collaboratively with the media and build strong relationships with key press and community figures via networking and events.

• Plan press and photo opportunities and attend events to optimise engagement.
• Develop and implement regular E-comms to different audiences by building strong and compelling email campaigns.

Other

· Monitor and report on performance against monthly KPIs and objectives and ensure planned expenditure is within budget.

• Monitor and evaluate the success of all marketing activities and use outcomes to inform and shape the future of our initiatives.
• Oversee media monitoring systems
• and ensure compliance with GDPR/Data Protection.
• Line manage the Marketing Executive and provide effective support and development.
• Work closely with Senior Management Team and other Action4Youth colleagues to effectively prioritise communications from the charity.
• Proactively build relationships with the wider statutory and voluntary partners across the charity’s areas of operation.

General Responsibilities

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

At least 5 years’ experience in a PR and /or marketing function (agency or client).

A proven track record of managing media relations and planning successful PR campaigns.

Extensive knowledge of digital media across all platforms, including web, socials and E-comms and implementing and managing campaigns.

Experience of developing and delivering multimedia campaigns to multiple audiences.

Experience of managing budget planning and allocating resource.

Strong written and verbal skills across all delivery platforms: PR, socials, web and E-comms. With the ability to write creative and engaging copy.

Experienced in using scheduling tools such as Hootsuite and Later (Desirable)

Experience of collating and utilising analytics to inform future development.

Experience of leadership and managing and developing a team.

Experience of the charitable sector. (Desirable)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.

Experience of creating compelling and engaging marketing collateral through software such as Canva. (Desirable)

Qualifications

Educated to degree level

Evidence of professional development/Masters degree and CIPR or CIM (Desirable)

Funding Business Manager

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

· Strategic development skills.

· Health, wellbeing, and disability experience within the sector would be ideal.

· Marketing experience; organisational promotion, digital, social media, website and branding. Health service marketing would be an advantage.

· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with good disability awareness.

 Location: Office based (Hybrid considered) Leatherhead KT22 0BN with free car parking.

Salary: £35k (pro-rated)
