The Role – Social Media Director (Team Lead)
Lead the organisation’s social media function to build an online community, drive engagement, connect with diverse audiences, and use social media metrics to strengthen organisational performance and improve efficiency.
Main Responsibilities / Key Duties

Develop and execute social media strategies that communicate the CIC’s message, increase visibility, and ensure consistency across platforms.

Volunteer: The PR Officer of Hidayah plays a vital role in raising the profile of the organisation. The Role
We’re looking for talented Graphic Design & Marketing Volunteers to help create vibrant, on-brand visual content for both our social media and in-house marketing materials. You'll be working with Canva and Adobe tools to bring campaigns to life, from digital posters and Instagram carousels to screen graphics and printed flyers.
This offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) Cultural Sector, ideal for students or individuals with a strong interest in marketing, graphic design and content creation.
What you’ll do:
· Design digital and print marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign including:
o Social media graphics (posts, stories, highlight covers)

Every GLF board member plays a direct role in the success and sustainability of the organisation.
�� Core Expectations

Fundraising Commitment:
Every board member must actively participate in fundraising campaigns, donor outreach, and sponsorship drives.
Each member is required to make a personal monthly donation to the organisation (amount optional but meaningful). -
Time Commitment:
Minimum of 20 hours per month, including board meetings, subcommittee work, fundraising events, and strategic planning. -
Ambassadorship:
Represent GLF publicly as a visible ambassador at community events, speaking engagements, and networking functions. -
Governance & Accountability:
Ensure the organisation operates ethically, transparently, and in alignment with its mission and legal obligations. -

Position: Board of Director - Marketing & Communications Expert (Unpaid Volunteer Role)
Reports to: Board Chairperson
Location: Hybrid (remote + in-person events as needed)
Purpose: To lead GLF’s brand, public image, and outreach campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute marketing, social media, and PR strategies.

Build brand visibility across TV, radio, digital, and print.

Collaborate on storytelling campaigns that attract donors and partners.

Support fundraising campaigns through brand partnerships and sponsorships.

Mentor GLF’s in-house communications staff.
Requirements/Skills:

Proven marketing, PR, or media background (agency or nonprofit experience preferred).
