About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Communications & Engagement Manager as part of a highly functioning and creative team, this vital role will work across all media and channels to raise the profile of USPG and its partners and their work:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of our website and social media channels.

About You

You are comfortable working in a small and creative team and are confident speaking to the wider organisation. You can juggle numerous projects and deadlines at one time.  

You will demonstrate considerable cross-cultural awareness and an ability to communicate in a way that is sensitive and appropriate. We are recruiting a Standards Policy Officer to join our small and friendly Standards and Regulation team.

About the role

The role of the Standards and Regulation function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.

As the Standards Policy Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.

This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. This means that we can measure candidates’ relevant skills directly and make a fairer decision on which applications to take forward.

Salary: £46,350 per annum

Contract: 12 month, fixed-term, maternity cover

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London (2 days per week on-site)

Job Summary

Anthony Nolan is seeking an ambitious University Senior Manager to lead and grow our lifesaving university volunteering programme. You'll lead the team in growing our recruitment to the stem cell register through students and universities, including our established network of student societies known as Marrow. You’ll be responsible for delivering our university recruitment strategy, leading the team to provide an excellent volunteer experience that inspires and empowers students to provide lifesaving support.

This role offers the chance to make a significant impact by driving recruitment and developing new opportunities that ultimately bring forward the day when every patient who needs us can survive and thrive.

Are you passionate about improving safety and security for NGOs around the world? Join GISF as our new SRM Technical Adviser and help shape the future of NGO security risk management.

We’re looking for someone with solid, hands-on experience in NGO safety and security—someone who knows the field, understands the challenges, and wants to make a difference. You’ll be a confident relationship-builder, comfortable navigating both the NGO and commercial worlds, and keen to turn research into real-world tools.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead technical development: Create, update, and promote GISF’s technical guides and tools—making sure they’re relevant, practical, and genuinely useful for NGOs of all sizes.
  • Provide expert input into GISF’s research projects, ensuring technical accuracy and real-world applicability.
     
• Deliver training and workshops: Design and run training sessions for a wide range of participants, from INGO Security Directors to national NGO focal points.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical advice to members and prospective members on developing internal SRM structures and systems.
     
• Strengthen coordination: Offer bespoke advisory support and mentoring to NGO platforms, including technical assistance for forum leadership and members.
   
• Be ready to deploy on short-term assignments to help improve NGO security coordination where it’s needed most.
   
• Facilitate roundtables in response to crises or periods of elevated security risk.
   
• Strengthen the working relationship between NGOs and the UN via SLT
   
• Represent GISF externally: Build and maintain strong connections with regional coordination groups, specialist working groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with GISF’s policy and engagement teams to translate operational  insights into advocacy positions, donor engagement, and external messaging.
     
• Stay ahead of the curve: Ensure GISF’s services stay up to date by tapping into your networks and keeping an eye on emerging challenges and innovations in SRM.
  • Identify emerging knowledge gaps, and coordinate with relevant teams or individuals to address them.
     
• Internal Support: You’ll lead on GISF’s own security management, ensuring the safety and security of GISF staff and activities, including pre-travel risk assessments and appropriate training.
  • Contribute to funding proposals and the design of new projects or initiatives.

The ICPG is a network of 80+ Jewish UK-based academics. Our members are dedicated to researching and combatting antisemitism in UK higher education and improving the environment for Jewish students, academics, professionals, and other staff. We work with senior leadership and diversity and inclusion teams at UK universities. We champion academic freedom and oppose all academic boycotts of Jews and / or Israeli institutions and faculties.

The ICPG was created in 2024 in response to the sharp rise in antisemitism in UK universities since 7th October 2023. We collaborate broadly with universities and Higher Education institutions, policymakers, lawyers and other stakeholders. Where appropriate, we engage with communal organisations.

We operate across the following areas: (1) Data Collection, (2) Standards and Interventions, (3) Free Speech and Academic Freedom, (4) Universities and College Union, and (5) Stakeholder Engagement. Each area has a "working group", which are at different stages of knowledge production. The overall aim is to provide robust, evidence-based and actionable feedback to universities to assist them in understanding and combatting antisemitism within the higher education sector. We have been in contact with all UK universities, and have provided them with policy recommendations which we have published on our website.

Specifications

ICPG is looking to recruit an Operations Manager with responsibility for operational leadership, strategic planning and implementation and financial management of the organisation. Candidates should have an interest in challenging antisemitism within the university sector, but do not necessarily need to have previous experience in this area.

Salary: £50,000, dependent on experience

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations
• Work closely with the President and Board of Trustees to develop and execute the strategic and operational vision for the organisation
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans with clear metrics
• Support ICPG’s growth strategy, including the potential internationalisation of the organisation
• Manage all stakeholder relations and communications, including with trustees and grant makers
• Work closely with the core team and external finance function to develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic resource allocation
• Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency and strategic optimisation
• Manage external consultants and project leads to ensure timely production of research projects
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard ICPG’s reputation
