Dividing your time between our volunteering and emergency response activities, you will assist us in building active, connected and resilient communities within Salford. Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
Context of role:
2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We provide immediate casework support, as well as ongoing services including counselling, complementary therapies, play therapy, coffee mornings, support events and a respite cottage.
Main duties:
Service:
- To initiateimmediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0- 25 have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the county you reside in and bordering counties
- To contact all families within 24-48 hours of the referrals by telephone
- Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line with safeguarding and risk reduction
- Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing weekly telephone calls
- To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the bereaved individual
- To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity from the county you reside in and bordering counties
- To liaise with other professionals working alongside the family to provide a holistic and multiagency approach to support
- Attend relevant forums within the area
- To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on the use of the bereavement boxes, the services we offer, ho to refer into the charity and bereavement awareness
- To ensure families have been offered a memory box and coordinate these when required
- Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or young person
- To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for bereaved individuals to use as required
- Maintain stock of 2wish memory boxes and deliver boxes to partner organisations as required
- To submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports to Bereavement Services Manager as required
- To signpost and/or refer to other agencies as required that can provide support as needed
- Cover members of the support team for annual leave and/or sickness
General:
- To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
- To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
- To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team

It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.

What we do for you:
Salary: £26,500 pro rata per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the appraisal structure.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable. 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme.
Pension: 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location: This post is predominantly home based, with regular travel across the areas you will be covering and some travel to our Head Office in South Wales.

The Role:
The Marketing Assistant will play a key role supporting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing the integrated communications strategy and providing marketing support for the promotion of hospice services and income generation activity.
Your day-to-day tasks will be varied but typically will include assisting with delivering our social media calendar, creating engaging content for use across our communication channels, writing copy for press releases and arranging photo calls, assisting in print and publication production, and updating content on the website.
What you need:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar marketing role or have a qualification in marketing or communications and demonstrate a strong team ethic and creative flair. About the role

The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. You will also work holistically to support the families who attend sessions in the Family Centre and who attend outings and “away-days”. About the Role

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- To sort HES inbound post, ensuring items are passed to the correct team or staff member.

Young People Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support young people in supported accommodation in Twickenham
Position: Young People Support Worker
Location: Twickenham
Salary: £27,636 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Closing Date: Sunday 9th November 2025
About the Role
As Young People Support Worker you will work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported accommodation. You will have a caseload of 5 clients aged 18-25, in a supported accommodation in Twickenham.
You will mostly lone work, with the Service Manager and Senior Progression Coach working from the office once a week each on average.
You may be required to work from our offices with the rest of the team in Lambeth/Croydon once a month as the business need arises or for training.
Key responsibilities:
· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients at all times, following safeguarding and emergency procedures as required.
· Hold a caseload as key worker, taking joint responsibility with the team for day-to-day client support.
· Lead on risk and needs assessments, develop SMART outcomes-based support plans, and review regularly.
· Deliver one-to-one and group support to build resilience and independence, both on site and in the community.
· Work in partnership with external agencies and involve clients in decision-making and community activities.
· Support clients to access education, training, employment, volunteering and benefit entitlements.
· Contribute to a safe, welcoming environment including rota cover, health and safety checks and move-in support.
· Support and collaborate with volunteers and participate in wider organisational engagement opportunities.
About You
You’ll be a motivated, empathetic and organised individual who thrives on helping young people achieve independence. You’ll bring:
· Experience working with the client group and understanding their needs, including homelessness, mental health and substance use.
· Experience in housing settings with knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.
· Strong understanding of asset-based approaches, safeguarding requirements and professional boundaries.
· Knowledge of risk assessments and support planning.
· Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.

Location: You can be based near one of the following office locations - Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Newcastle.
We operate a hybrid model of work i.e. a combination of in-person and remote, with flexible days in the office depending on business need and your preferences. We would typically expect in-office attendance an average of one day per week.
Hours: We are looking for the right candidate and while we envisage this being a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) we are very open to flexible working arrangements such as part-time, compressed hours and/or flexitime.

The Opportunity
As our Senior Evaluation Coordinator you’ll drive forward how we measure and share our organisation’s impact.
You’ll own our monitoring and evaluation framework and use this to design smart and robust ways to measure how our work creates change.
You’ll lead our annual data collection processes and cycles, collaborating with other teams to collect and share key outcomes data, both internally and externally.
From crafting data methodologies to generating insightful reporting for stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who loves delving into data, analysing and communicating trends and working with others to make a difference.
1. Designing how we measure our impact
- Shape evaluation questions and themes to explore, design the methodology, and consider data required to conduct robust analysis
2. Evaluating our interventions
- Manage the yearly impact evaluation to further the organisation’s understanding of its effect across our three interventions:
- on students’ outcomes, including student university destinations and longer-term graduate outcomes
- on the outcomes of our employer influencing work, including the impact of the Social Mobility Employer Index
- on the outcomes of our campaigns work
3. Data collection and performance management
- Develop and manage data analysis and visualisation tools and processes, such as PowerBI, to present monitoring data
4. Reporting and sharing our impact
- Consolidate analysis findings, and present them to various audiences to enable conversations around the development of our work

Person Specification/Skills
Monitoring & Evaluation
- How to run an evaluation project, and manage it throughout the full project life cycle, i.e. planning, data collection, analysis, and dissemination
- How to create and implement plans and/or processes, including administrative systems and robust evaluation processes
Systems
- How to use databases, data visualisation tools and CRMs, underpinned by strong IT skills and the ability to learn and build capability
