This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-profile project set to have a long-lasting impact on cancer services, improving how teams collaborate to deliver better outcomes for patients.

You’ll play a central role in keeping the project running smoothly, acting as a key point of contact for senior clinicians, policymakers and partners including Macmillan Cancer Support and NHS stakeholders. If you’re organised, proactive and keen to contribute to meaningful change in healthcare, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the first point of contact for project enquiries, managing correspondence and ensuring timely, professional responses.
  • Coordinate and support meetings and events, including scheduling, logistics, and preparing materials.
  • Attend meetings, take accurate minutes, and track actions to ensure delivery against deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, maintain activity logs, and support reporting.
  • Help organise stakeholder engagement activities and events, including preparing resources and gathering feedback.
  • Maintain clear and compliant records and documentation, supporting effective project delivery.

What you’ll need

  • Experience in a busy administrative or project support role, using tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities .
  • Experience coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and tracking actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders professionally.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A commitment to delivering a high-quality responsive service.

Why join us?
At the RCR, you’ll be part of a passionate team shaping the future of cancer care. This role offers the chance to work on a nationally significant programme, build your project skills, and make a tangible difference to patient outcomes.
