Job Purpose

Help shape the voice of rheumatology and make a difference to people living with rheumatic conditions. We’re looking for a creative and proactive marketing and communications professional to join BSR.  The post-holder will support the planning and implementation of marketing and digital campaigns for a wide range of BSR projects, connecting us with our community. Managed by the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role is responsible for planning and building powerful marketing emails and newsletters in Dotdigital, creating digital assets, running social media content, running paid campaigns, and providing performance reports and insights. The role also includes updating website content, advising on SEO and user experience, and using analytics to support data-driven decision-making. Whether it’s promoting an event, launching a research initiative, or raising awareness of vital issues, your work will help us reach and inspire the right audiences.

Main responsibilities

• Plan and deliver imaginative marketing campaigns and social media activity to support excellence in rheumatology and support better care for people with rheumatic conditions.
• Manage content requests and workflows; create and publish meaningful copy and visuals across digital channels.
• Build and schedule email campaigns and newsletters, using audience segmentation, automation, and testing to improve engagement.
• Maintain and update website content, ensuring strong user experience and search engine visibility (SEO).
• Turn data into direction: Monitor and report on campaign and social media performance using analytics tools; provide insights to inform strategy.
• Design or coordinate creation of marketing assets, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
• Support lead generation initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects with marketing expertise.
• Write and edit content with purpose, across formats including blogs, newsletters, reports.
• Stay informed on competitor activity and sector trends to inform campaign planning and innovation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the organisation’s wider communications and engagement objectives

General

• Flexibility, proactive approach to work and willingness to take on occasional duties deemed reasonable for the role and circumstances.

The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. Every day will be different as this role will see you responding to the needs of the individual county of responsibility. It is a challenging and exciting post where no two days will be the same.

You will provide organisational support, advice and information to our members, and work closely with County Committees, the membership central team staff and other departments.  This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

- Working closely with the Membership Services & Development Team ensure an integrated approach to the development and delivery of the branch offer and future of membership.
- Build strong relationships with County/District Committees and MC Reps; maintaining a face to face presence within the region, and providing regular communication and meaningful interaction.
- Have a good understanding and knowledge of Charity Law, RBL policy and procedures as well as the Membership Handbook so timely advice and guidance can be provided to the regional team as well as County Chairs and MC Reps to ensure compliance at all levels.
- Provide oversight of safeguarding and safeguarding process within membership for the area.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is seeking a Membership Assistant to support the delivery of an exceptional experience for our 27,000 members and help drive our mission to bring nature back to Suffolk. This role is central to the effective administration of our membership schemes, ensuring that members feel valued and connected to the work of the Trust.

The Membership Assistant will manage the day-to-day processing of memberships, including maintaining accurate records in our CRM system (Charity CRM by Access), handling payments and Gift Aid, responding to member enquiries & issuing welcome packs and renewal reminders. Working closely with the Senior Supporter Development Officer, they will help improve and streamline our systems, contributing to membership growth and retention.

The role includes co-ordinating the distribution of membership resources, including promotional materials and our members’ magazine, supporting a network of volunteer magazine deliverers across the county.

• Demonstrable experience in writing compelling, robust and evidence-based proposals and cases for support for funders. 

• Extensive experience of planning and delivering national and local communications/marketing tailored to key audiences, across multiple channels, to increase reach and engagement with key audiences.

The supporter relations and engagement officer supports the supporter relations and engagement manager in delivering the charity's strategy, helping to drive all aspects of supporter relations, engagement, and stewardship to strengthen relationships with stakeholders. They contribute to purposeful engagement with diverse supporter groups and ensure exemplary thanks and stewardship across all giving channels, including regular donations, fundraising events, gifts in wills, and major giving. With strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the cause, they provide expert supporter care and line-manage two fundraising assistants to ensure stakeholder communications are timely, impactful, and engaging.

The selected candidate will have significant experience of working with supporters and donors and will have experience and/ or understanding of supporter audiences across the breadth of fundraising programmes. You will have proven events planning or management experience and will have previously worked in a charity or marketing/ membership organisation. You do not need line management experience for this role.

Our client is an astounding group of professionals who believe that people's sight matters. They have ambitious growth plans to increase the investment they are able to make in life changing eye health by supporting the work of London's renowned Eye Hospital and its academic partner and funding innovative research, equipment, patient care and training through the delivery of innovative programmes of fundraising work. The team is looking to appoint a supporter relations and engagement officer, and Prospectus is leading the search.

The supporter relations and engagement officer supports the supporter relations and engagement manager in delivering the charity's strategy, helping to drive all aspects of supporter relations, engagement, and stewardship to strengthen relationships with stakeholders. They contribute to purposeful engagement with diverse supporter groups and ensure exemplary thanks and stewardship across all giving channels, including regular donations, fundraising events, gifts in wills, and major giving. With strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the cause, they provide expert supporter care and line-manage two fundraising assistants to ensure stakeholder communications are timely, impactful, and engaging.

The selected candidate will have significant experience of working with supporters and donors and will have experience and/ or understanding of supporter audiences across the breadth of fundraising programmes. You will have proven events planning or management experience and will have previously worked in a charity or marketing/ membership organisation. You do not need line management experience for this role.
