Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. About the role

Your key purpose will be to support the Supporter Experience Manager in the delivering an excellent supporter experience for individuals across all fundraising activities. This includes projects related to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Individual Giving programme, supporter journeys and ensuring Shooting Star Children’s Hospices families who choose to fundraise are effectively supported in their activity. This role will support the charities appeal fundraising programme, working with the Head of Supporter Engagement and Supporter Experience Manager on supporter stewardship.

The Supporter Experience Coordinator will also provide efficient and effective key administrative support to the wider fundraising team, optimising income generation proactivity cross-team. They will support in maximising the potential of our fundraising data, ensuring accurate and effective fundraising finance processes, gift aid maximisation and utilising the fundraising database.

We are looking for someone who feels confident working as part of a team as well as working independently. About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign (NHM150) to raise £150m to transform our South Kensington site ahead of our 150th anniversary. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, this role will be responsible for personally securing high six- and seven-figure gift from Trusts and Foundations.

The Individual Giving Manager helps to raise philanthropic income from our audiences, managing the lower-level membership programme, visitor giving, appeals and legacies.

The successful post-holder will oversee the Member, Member Plus, Supporting Cast and Young Patron Premium membership levels, recruiting new members, maintaining strong renewal rates and delivering engaging communications. They will also work to maximise non-membership income and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to develop new and exciting public fundraising initiatives.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Advice Service Delivery Manager

The newly created Advice & Support Team plays a key role in delivering Battersea’s increased strategic focus on early intervention in the pet ownership journey. By offering well-timed expert and empathetic support and advice before owners reach crisis point, the team aims to prevent avoidable animal welfare issues and reduce the number of pets relinquished for preventable reasons.

A key service in this area is the Behaviour Advice Line (BAL), currently delivered by our Animal Behaviour Team. This new role exists to lead the development of a clear, evidence-based service model and plan to transform the line into a cost-effective multi-channel service that delivers measurably improved impact for owners and their pets.

The role is for one year with the outcome to develop a detailed service model and associated change plan and budget, that is evidence based, co-designed and in alignment with the future Advice and Support strategy and Operations structure. Iterative changes should be identified for service improvement within the year and a business case for investment produced by the end of July 2026.

Supporter Services Administrator

Position Objective:

• Responding to phone calls, e-mails and letter correspondence from members

• To provide the Fundraising Department with general administrative support

Term of Employment:

Part-time (3 days a week)

Reports to:

International Membership Services Manager

Salary

£28,500 pro rata

Location:

Hybrid in London. Occasional days in the London office will be required.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure that all member contact, including letter correspondence, e-mails and phone calls, reflects the organisation’s positions and values, contains up-to-date information and is handled in a timely, professional, and efficient manner

• Verify donor data, including demographic, membership, and personal information, and input it into the membership database

• Organise and maintain the Fundraising Department’s administrative systems and procedures, including processing credit and debit card donations, preparing cheque donations for banking, filing financial statements, and adding donations to the database

• Process invoices and liaise with the PETA Foundation US’ Finance Department

• Liaise with external agencies as required

• Sort and distribute the Fundraising Department’s incoming post in a prompt manner, responding as appropriate

• Perform general administrative tasks

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Experience with Windows, Microsoft Outlook and database systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge

• Experience in a membership services or relevant customer services role

• Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA UK’s campaigns

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent accuracy, organisational skills and attention to detail

• An understanding of GDPR is desirable

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times

• Commitment to the objectives of the organisation

• Adherence to a vegan lifestyle strongly preferred

This is an opportunity to work for a growing team, working to support churches and Christian charities through finance and play a significant part in driving forward our mission and to continue to build our capability as a dynamic Accounts Examination Team serving a range of clients including churches and other Christian charities.

The role will involve the preparation and / or the examination of accounts which will be prepared in one of two formats – receipts and payments or accruals. The role holder will be able to work on their own initiative but also be an effective team player.

Our givers manage most of their finances through apps, and we believe their generosity should be just as intuitive. Our iOS Giving app has already seen strong engagement, and we are currently in the process of re-platforming it into React Native to support a more scalable and maintainable future.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead React Native Developer to take over from this re-platforming work and carry it forward — refining and extending the app, while also setting the direction for how we build future mobile apps. You’ll be the first dedicated React Native developer on the team, so the role offers both the autonomy to shape our mobile stack and the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as we expand the team.
