This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and analytical policy professional to join our dynamic External Affairs team in The Royal College of Radiologists’ (RCR).
Our policy aims are simple: to enhance NHS systems, pathways and working conditions for RCR members so that they can provide optimum care to their patients. While the aims are simple, making it happen is less so. This is where the policy team come in. Good working relationships with the doctors and senior manager are key to the success of this role, establishing credibility and understanding how their needs from the frontline can be best met.
In this role the Policy Advisor will work with the wider team by actively monitoring and responding to the external environment to influence change. The Policy Advisor will lead the development of evidence-led policy development in priority influencing areas. The postholder will be confident collaborating with key decision makers, and responding to consultations from governments and regulators. Working closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager and other members of the external affairs team to provide advice and counsel to the College.

What you’ll do:
- Gather, interpret and analyse information on policy areas relevant to RCR specialties, clinical oncology and clinical radiology
- Work with Officers, committee chairs, special interest groups and other doctors to ensure that our consultation responses reflect the expert views of the RCR’s membership
- Support the planning, development, delivery and review of policy projects, consultation responses and lines to take
- Support the building of relationships with external stakeholders, including opinion formers and decision-makers
- Crafting external policy content as requested including reports, briefings, web content and presentations

The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.
The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. The role works closely with member organisations (MOs), regions, and speciality groups to enhance governance practices, ensure policy alignment, and support coherent decision-making across the global network.
The role also contributes to organisational direction by actively participating in the development and implementation of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan and supporting alignment with regional and other strategic plans.
1. Governance leadership and oversight
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee all governance functions and activities across World Physiotherapy.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the constitution, bylaws, policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and update governance frameworks, systems, and processes to align with international best practices.
- Provide authoritative advice and interpretation on governance matters to the CEO, board, and leadership structures.
- Develop and implement governance improvement initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness and accountability.
- Work collaboratively with the World Physiotherapy development and membership divisions to ensure organisational cohesion and effective delivery of the global mission.
2. Board and executive support
- Support and coordinate the development of high-quality board papers, briefings, and decision-support materials.
- Support the full lifecycle of board meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, logistics, and action tracking.
- Ensure timely circulation of clear, accurate, and structured information to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain and manage official governance records, including minutes, resolutions, and statutory documentation.
- Monitor follow-up actions and ensure implementation of board decisions.
3. General meeting (GM) management
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver all World Physiotherapy global and regional general meetings in accordance with constitutional requirements.
- Develop and manage timelines for GM preparation, including submission, review, and distribution of papers.
- Oversee the drafting and quality assurance of reports, motions, and official documentation.
- Ensure accurate recording of proceedings, decisions, and outcomes.
- Verify compliance with all procedural and constitutional requirements for general meetings.
4. Regional elections coordination
- Plan and oversee regional election processes, ensuring alignment with organisational rules, timelines, and standards.
- Develop and implement clear election procedures and guidance for regions in line with the constitution.
- Ensure elections are conducted transparently, fairly, and consistently across all regions.
- Provide advisory support to regional executive committees on governance and election matters.
- Maintain comprehensive records of election processes, results, and compliance.
5. Policy development and management
- Lead the drafting, review, and implementation of governance and organisational policies.
- Ensure policies are consistent, up to date, and aligned with strategic priorities and international standards.
- Provide expert policy advice and interpretation to the CEO, board, MOs, regions, and speciality groups.
- Establish and maintain systems to monitor policy implementation, compliance, and effectiveness.
6. Strategic planning and alignment
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the World Physiotherapy strategic plan.
- Support alignment between global strategy and regional and other relevant strategic plans.
- Provide governance input into strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with constitutional and policy frameworks.
- Monitor and report on governance-related strategic objectives and outcomes.
7. Support to member organisations, regions, and specialty groups
- Provide expert governance and policy advice to MOs, regions, and speciality groups.
- Develop practical tools, templates, and guidance to strengthen governance capacity across the network.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote best practices in governance globally.
- Respond to governance queries and provide timely, solution-oriented support.
8. Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Act as a central liaison on governance matters between the CEO, board, committees, and membership.
- Ensure consistent and transparent communication of governance processes, decisions, and requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the communications and marketing team for the delivery of all key communications.
9. Continuous improvement and risk management
- Identify governance risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Person specification
Education and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, governance, business administration, international relations, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (eg master’s degree) in governance, public policy, law, MBA, or related discipline (desirable).
- Professional certification in governance, compliance, or company secretariat (eg Chartered Governance Institute or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in governance or non-profit management.

The clinical adoption of artificial Intelligence is becoming a central topic in medicine and our specialities of radiology and oncology are at the forefront of this development. The RCR has a huge part to play in navigating the safe and effective implementation of this technology. This role is critical for shaping the RCR’s position on AI, drawing on the expertise and insight of members and fellows, to help ensure we are leaders in this area.
We’re looking for an experienced strategist and programme manager who can continue to drive this work forward, managing several programmes of work and successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholder groups across the RCR and beyond. This means someone who’s proactive, a clear and analytical thinker, as comfortable with the big picture while being across the detail of this complex and technical area. You don’t have to be an AI specialist to apply but a strong interest in the topic and working knowledge of NHS systems will be an advantage.
This role is part of our External Affairs team, highlighting the RCR’s priority of engaging with and representing members and fellows on the topic of AI. This means you’ll forge strong relationships with our data, policy, public affairs and media specialists, working closely together to build the RCR’s member engagement and policy and influencing work on AI. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the RCR who will support the practical implementation of AI, for example through developing guidance or planning our Global AI Conference.

As a local grant maker, Young Camden Foundation's grants processes and operations are key to our success. This role will suit an adaptable and organised team player, who is up for a challenge and keen to learn.
You will lead and develop YCF’s significant grant-giving programmes, organising and improving the grants process, keeping donors in the loop, and communicating the impact of the small grants programmes, and coordinating support from the team to ensure this work is well supported. In this role you will oversee both YCF’s small grants programmes to members, and also YCF’s delivery of the Holiday Activities & Food Programme, which together amount to around £900,000 per year in grants out to Camden’s youth sector.
You will lead on YCF’s operations, including clerking to the Board of Trustees, ensuring timely applications and reporting to funders, and overseeing all aspects of YCF’s operations. You will be supported by our Operations & Administrations Apprentice. You will support the CEO across YCF’s partnerships, cultivating our pipeline of funders, including Trusts & Foundations and corporate donors, and spotting and supporting opportunities wherever you can.
As a natural team player working in a small team, you will spot opportunities to support YCF’s membership (especially regarding grants) and the other functions of YCF’s work. As a place based organisation, you will ensure you are known in the local community, and amongst our key stakeholders, including grassroots VCS partners, Camden Council, and our key funders.
Along with the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support YCF’s partnerships, including with business neighbours, spotting opportunities to amplify YCF’s work. In this important and dynamic role you will lead on both, working closely with the CEO to also support fundraising and partnerships.
Main Purpose of the Role
Grants management:
· Grants management: You will direct and lead the YCF small grants programmes (including Small & Mighty Fund, Holiday Opportunities Fund and Heads Up Mental Health Fund, of around £150,000 p.a.), including leading on design and guidelines, engagement with YCF’s grants committee structures, and reporting back to Trustees and funders. You will lead on grants decisions processes and communications, as part of YCF’s membership offer. You will oversee all due diligence processes as part of YCF’s grant giving offer, and ensure smooth reporting cycles with grantees
· Strategic oversight of HAF: Strategic leadership of the Camden HAF programme, overseeing the HAF Programme Manager in the stewardship of this DfE programme, and retaining oversight of key deliverables, together with the Heads of Children’s Commissioning at Camden Council
Fundraising and reporting:
· Fundraising: You will maintain our pipeline of supporters, including of our grants rounds, and lead reporting for YCF’s grants and core funding to funders, supported by the team. You will ensure timely funding applications submissions Together with the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support the CEO in all fundraising for YCF and our programmes, including identifying funding and partnership opportunities, drafting bids and pitches, and so on.
· Reporting: You will oversee and deliver timely reporting across YCF’s funders. You will manage and be supported by the Operations Apprentice to ensure smooth and timely processes. You will ensure YCF’s monitoring and evaluation frameworks are fit for purpose. You will work with the rest of the team to ensure this function is properly and efficiently supported, and will proactively identify ways to more efficiently record and report on information to funders, including effective use of our CRM.
Operations and governance:
· Operational leadership: You will be responsible for YCF’s operational running as an organisation, ensuring our processes are smooth and fit for purpose. In practice, this may include supporting the CEO in operational and strategic planning, supporting budget oversight (and leading in the areas of grants). Supported by the Operations Apprentice, you will oversee YCF’s HR processes for onboarding, recruitment and so on.
· Governance: You will support YCF’s governance processes, due diligence and compliance, ensuring YCF is compliant with our charitable obligations, and ensure our policies are up to date and we are compliant with them.
· Board minute taking: You will take minutes of YCF’s Board meetings, and ensure actions are followed up with, and oversee the Operations Apprentice in the setting up of meetings and logistics. You will support the CEO and Chair with the preparation of papers, as needed.
Management and leadership
· Management: You will manage two important roles for YCF, modelling leadership at YCF, alongside the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact
· Representing YCF: You will represent the organisation at a senior level at external events, including via speaking opportunities

JOB PURPOSE
We are a team with a desire to provide excellent stewardship to our donors and maximise our fundraising potential in the UK. As the first point of contact, this role plays a vital part in ensuring our supporters receive a high standard of customer service.
You will manage our supporter care inbox and phone line, handling everything from donation enquiries to complaints with empathy and efficiency. You will also support with processing post and ensure our donors receive the appropriate acknowledgement for their support.

United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness of the plight of refugees and raise funds to help protect them through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.

Role Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to those who contact UK for UNHCR directly by email, phone or mail and escalate queries where necessary.
- Deliver a first-class supporter experience and ensure each point-of-contact works to build and develop the engagement journey.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records within the charity database, assist with data administration, and ensure data is handled in accordance with regulations.
- Champion supporter care best practice by resolving supporter pain points, sharing supporter insights and feedback with colleagues, and supporting fundraising teams in evaluating campaign performance to identify opportunities to improve the supporter journey.
- Assist with fulfilment agency briefs and quality control measures.
- Work with teams, agencies and third-party platforms to deliver donation processing and campaign fulfilment, ensuring efficient donor acknowledgment
- Support fundraising teams during emergencies.
- Support the fundraising team to deliver high quality in person events in as well as virtual stewardship events.
- Provide personalised in-house thanking for different supporter segments and deliver thanking initiatives such as a thankathons.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for supporter engagement activities and stewardship events, including coordination of materials, attendance lists and on-the-day support.

- Experience of or interest in the charity sector, in particular humanitarian response/international development.
- Experience of working with an external fulfilment agency to deliver excellent customer service in a similar environment.
- An understanding of how to keep customer data safe and handle sensitive information responsibly, in line with relevant regulations.
