We are looking for an experienced, motivated fundraising professional to oversee corporate partnerships and individual giving, embedding the corporate and individual giving journey into all aspects of ERIC’s communications, and broadening the charity’s approach to donor stewardship to treat all service users and website visitors as future donors. You will also oversee all ERIC’s external and internal communications including our website, social media and PR.

As part of ERIC’s Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to strategic planning, policy and decision-making across the whole organisation. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for ERIC’s fundraising and communications team. You will play a pivotal role in maximising supporter-led fundraising income, ensuring every supporter has a positive experience and feels inspired to continue supporting ERIC.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, and a Senior leadership team member you will be responsible for implementing ERIC’s overall strategy. Our primary strategic objective in this area is to build our corporate and individual donor base, and you will use user data, stewardship strategy, website user experience, social media, segmented email and online service design to deliver this.

You will work closely with the CEO and provide effective line-management for two staff, and you will work with contractors and freelancers who provide social media support, videography and web development services etc.

Job Title: Community Project Officer

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £22,155.20 to £34,913 (FTE £27,694 to £43,642). The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £24,370 (FTE £30,463) depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

*The project will run for three years. The initial fixed-term contract will be for 12 months, with a potential extension for a further two years subject to funding.

Context and purpose of role

By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.

The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Ramblers Getting Started element of the Walking Together Project
• Maintain positive working relationships with local and regional partners to deliver the project
• Maintain positive working relationships with local members/volunteers
• Attend Community/Borough or Town Council, steering group and other partner meetings and events and use to deliver the project

What you’ll be doing …

Our Head of Events (HoE) will bring leadership and strategic vision to the Society’s Events team encompassing scientific conferences, venue hire, and training courses, working to deliver the business plan and achieve targets for this active, income-generating department.

This role will be responsible for supporting the six-strong team in delivery of our busy events programme, working effectively with conference convenors, and providing exemplary support to our delegates, venue users, sponsors, and clients throughout the year. Working closely with the Director of Science & Engagement, our new HoE will work to develop robust and diverse income streams for the Society from our events as well as sponsorship and will oversee the expansion of our venue hire provision into new markets (e.g. weddings) in addition to seizing other opportunities for growth.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

Management & Leadership:

• Shape and lead the Events team to deliver top-quality leadership and coordination of our events programmes and customer service for both internal users and external clients
• Continue to support a commercial approach to income generation across the Events department, to support revenue growth and diversification across sectors
• Grow event sponsorship, proactively identifying sponsorship opportunities and supporting the team, convenors, and others to become more confident in developing sponsor relationships and securing sponsorship income.

Job Purpose  

The Clinical Audit Project Administrator plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of BSR’s national clinical audit, the National Early Inflammatory Autoimmune Diseases Audit (NEIAA). Working within the Practice and Quality directorate, this role supports effective project coordination, data management, stakeholder engagement, and operational delivery of audit outputs. 

The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Audit Project Manager and the Head of Policy to ensure the audit runs efficiently and delivers value to clinicians and patients, and support wider BSR quality improvement objectives.  

Main Responsibilties 

Project Coordination and Administration 

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Project Manager, including setting up and maintaining project processes and systems. 
• Coordinate the smooth running of NEIAA activities, assisting with delivery of project plans and timelines. 
• Manage the NEIAA mailbox as the first point of contact, ensuring timely, professional responses to enquiries. 
• Support the preparation and delivery of audit documentation, reports, and updates. 

 
Governance and Meeting Support 

• Coordinate governance group, working group, and stakeholder meetings. 
• Prepare agendas, meeting papers, and supporting documentation. 
• Take accurate minutes, track actions, and ensure appropriate follow-up. 

 
Stakeholder and Provider Engagement 

• Support engagement with clinicians, Trusts and Health Boards to encourage participation in NEIAA. 
• Build positive working relationships with key contacts by providing clear, helpful, and timely communication. 
• Assist with the development of communications and engagement materials, including content for the Annual Report. 

Data and Information Governance Support 

• Support project documentation, data handling processes, and dissemination of performance outputs. 
• Ensure high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with information governance procedures across all aspects of data handling and storage.
