Job Purpose

The post holder will provide administrative support across several key functions of the department, focusing mainly on clinical job description approval and sourcing of volunteers to attend appointment panels across the UK (Advisory Appointments Committee), quality improvement initiatives, and committee administration.

Main responsibilities

AACs and Job Planning

• Responsibility for administration of the College’s Advisory Appointments Committee and ophthalmologist job planning advice service and Coordinating volunteers to attend Advisory Appointment Committees (AACs)
• Administering the approval process for UK ophthalmologist job descriptions (c. 150 a year), assigning work to relevant Council Representatives and supervision of the progress of approvals to meet the average 3 week turn around
• Providing general advice and guidance to stakeholders on job descriptions in accordance with the agreed job description guidance
• Department document management and archiving including documents on the RCOphth website, managing document status spreadsheet used by department team and comms team

Quality Improvement (QI)

• Support the QI Manager and QI Coordinator in the delivery of the College’s QI workstreams
• Provide administrative support for the delivery of the RCOphth Review Service
• Support the coproduction of guidance documents with members e.g. scheduling meetings, proofreading and formatting documents
• In conjunction with the QI team, support delivery of the National Ophthalmology Database audits by answering queries, administration of the sign-up process for participating centres and invoicing process

Departmental Administration

• Providing support to other members of the team as and when required including responding to queries
• Liaison with other College Departments to ensure members and other stakeholders’ experience of any interactions with the College is proactive, positive, and efficient
• Administering department committees e.g. appointments for chairs and committee members, scheduling meetings, agenda setting, minute taking and following up on actions
• Assisting with other administrative process to support the work of the department team including Database administration including data entry and reporting

Purpose of the role

The Legal Director provides strategic leadership on immigration, economic migration, asylum and nationality for ILPA, with a primary focus on legal policy, legislative analysis, member engagement and public influence.

The role is responsible for shaping ILPA’s legal positions, overseeing the quality and coherence of legal analysis across the organisation, and maintaining ILPA’s standing as the leading professional membership body in immigration and asylum law.

Key responsibilities

1. Legal strategy and leadership

In collaboration with the Trustees and Chief Executive, the Legal Director will:

a. Develop and maintain ILPA’s short-, medium- and long-term legal strategy in line with ILPA’s charitable objectives.

b. Identify emerging legal, policy and practice issues affecting immigration, asylum and nationality law.

c. Engage with ILPA members to understand frontline impacts and systemic concerns.

About the role

CoramBAAF has a long-standing reputation as a provider of high-quality webinars, training, conference and consultancy services aimed at social work, health care and legal professionals. CoramBAAF runs a workshop, events and conference programme and offers bespoke training services to agencies. We run a mix of face-to-face and remote delivery. Consultancy services typically include responding to specific commissions to review aspects of services.

We are looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team as Events Officer. This role is pivotal in organising and co-ordinating our webinar programmes, dissemination events and conferences. As part of the Training, Consultancy and Events team, they work in close collaboration with staff across CoramBAAF including colleagues with roles in policy and development and membership services. The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative; be good at managing priorities and meeting deadlines as well as being able to work with a wide range of external stakeholders.

Purpose of the Role

You will be reporting to and working closely with the Business Development Manager to grow and develop the number of White Ribbon Accredited organisations, and workplaces using our training programmes.  You will be responsible for delivering Accreditation, including Supporter organisations, and for coordinating and developing training, ensuring that all standards are met, and facilitating continuous improvement. You will work with other team members to recruit new Ambassadors and Champions and provide information and opportunities for existing Ambassadors and Champions. You will engage and motivate Accredited organisations and Supporter organisations to participate in White Ribbon Day.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Accreditation

• Working with colleagues to market and network proactively to develop the Accreditation programme and increase the number of Accredited and Supporter organisations, including attending meetings, events online and in person
• Working directly with organisations to provide advice and support to individual organisations in completing the Accreditation process and developing and delivering their action plans, including attending steering group meetings when necessary
• Assess action plans and provide recommendations for approval of completed action plans. Look at ways to develop and continuously improve the action plan templates, including developing guidance for organisations
• Coordinate and deliver projects and events to allow sharing of best practice and cross-sector/sector specific engagement to address specific issues
• Disseminate best practice to all Accredited organisations and Supporter organisations
• Be responsible for maintaining resource hubs and develop new materials for the hubs, working with other teams
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of action plans within organisations

Training

• Working with colleagues, promote and market with colleagues White Ribbon UK training to new and existing organisations
• Coordinate the training, working with organisations to develop what they need and matching trainers to organisations
• Deliver training when time allows
• Work with colleagues, associate trainers, and partners to develop new and existing training courses
• Measure and evaluate the quality and impact of our training, collating and monitoring feedback forms, etc

Ambassadors and Champions

• With other team members, recruit new Ambassadors and Champions
• With other team members, provide information, resources, training, and campaigning opportunities for Ambassadors and Champions
• Monitor and develop the membership process
• With other team members, maintain the Ambassador and Champion resources hub ensuring it is fit for purpose and up to date

General

• Undertake your own admin and use the CRM to record your contacts and progress

Person specification

Essential

• Passion for the cause of ending violence against women and girls and for engaging men in primary prevention work
• Substantial and demonstrable track record of working successfully with businesses in a development capacity – including acquiring and maximising relationships
• Excellent presentation skills

• A good level of IT knowledge and skills. Experience of working with Microsoft Office package, e.g. Excel etc.

We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of delivering and leading major donor fundraising, membership schemes, corporate partnerships as well as securing significant funds from Trusts and Foundations.

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for implementing the charity’s fundraising strategy to increase our fundraised income to support all areas of our activity. This will be achieved by connecting donors and supporters to our mission to delight and unite communities through the power of live performance and participation.

The charity has ambitious plans for the future. We will continue to invest in the beautiful Theatre Royal Winchester. With the absence of Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, we will be transitioning to a new structure and funding model for future Hat Fair festivals.
