ADUK is looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to be part of our ambitious team at a key time for the charity.  In this new role, our Policy and Campaigns Manager will develop our policy positions and further our campaigning aims to promote standards-based approaches to the training and welfare of assistance dogs, and to facilitate better access for all those who rely on these highly trained dogs.

CYP Psychotherapist/Counsellor

Based in Hendon

Salary – £28,719.14 FTE (only term time – 45 weeks per year) or £33,186.56 FTE (full year – 52 weeks per year) 

Norwood are looking for a CYP Psychotherapist/Counsellor to provide therapeutic support to children/young people exhibiting emotional and/or behavioural problems or who are at risk of developing such problems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• To provide individual therapy/counselling sessions, supporting pupils where there are concerns about their emotional wellbeing. Group interventions may also be delivered, depending on the needs of the centre/school. 
• To manage your own case load, taking referrals from the team senior or school Senco. To assist in assessing children’s needs and advise parents and/or staff on strategies to support children experiencing difficulties. To work with other Norwood services to support vulnerable families. 
• To demonstrate a range of therapeutic skills/techniques in order to work creatively and effectively with children/young people. 
• To undertake consultations with parents including review meetings. 
• To develop effective working relationships with teachers and support staff as well as parents/carers and other professionals. This may include attending relevant staff meetings and consultations as necessary (if the work is in school). 
• To undertake clinical supervision in accordance with BACP guidelines and participate in regular line management meetings. 
• To attend continuing professional development training as required. 
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of child protection issues and put this into practice, attending training as required. 
• To keep accurate client records and provide statistical/ monitoring information. 
• Write reports as required. 
• To liaise with and support referrals to other relevant bodies, such as local authority, health visitors, social care, CAMHS, and other agencies when appropriate. 
• To attend case conferences / planning/strategy/pastoral support meetings when appropriate and provide written reports as required. 
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance and put this into practice. 
• Maintain confidentiality whilst promoting the safety and welfare of the child, working within professional ethical frameworks and Norwood’s policy. 
• To maintain registration and membership of BACP, BAPT, BADth or equivalent and to work within the ethical guidelines of the relevant professional body.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) is the corporate foundation of Thomson Reuters, the global news and information services company. As an independent charity we work to advance media freedom, foster more inclusive economies, and promote human rights. We combine our unique media development and legal services to drive systemic change through news, capacity strengthening, free legal assistance, and convening initiatives.

TRF provides a Secretariat function to the Media Freedom Coalition (MFC). The MFC is a partnership of 50 countries from six continents working together to advocate for media freedom and the safety of journalists at home and abroad. The MFC works closely with civil society and a panel of legal experts, among others, to promote media freedom through a range of activities – including public and private diplomacy to support journalists at risk, coordinated action through embassies, events and the promotion of legal reforms. The MFC was established in 2019 while the Secretariat was established in 2022. More information about the MFC can be found here.

The MFC Secretariat plays a central role in maximising the impact of the Coalition. It does this in four areas:

• Administration and operations: delivering specific activities including events and briefings; supporting and coordinating responses to cases of concern (in which journalists and news organisations are facing threats to their reporting); supporting embassies to act on media freedom; organizing meetings and maintaining the MFC’s network of contacts;

• Communications: communicating the MFC’s activities and impact externally, via website, social media and mainstream media coverage; supporting public-facing events; keeping the MFC’s network informed about activities and opportunities to take action;

• Policies and strategy: ensuring policies and processes are in place to facilitate an efficient, effective and responsive coalition; supporting strategic decision making; monitoring the latest developments in the media freedom context;

• Monitoring and evaluation: tracking and understanding the MFC’s outcomes and impact, and learning lessons from this. 

The Secretariat is supported by grants from Global Affairs Canada and the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office.

We are seeking a creative and resourceful Communications Manager to join our team. You will lead on the Secretariat’s communications function, both internally and externally, and will implement (and potentially improve on) our existing communications strategy. For the MFC, effective communications are not only about demonstrating the Coalition’s impact, they are also a way of encouraging and inspiring MFC member countries and their embassies to take action on media freedom. This means the Coalition’s communications are an essential component of its pathway to impact.

You will be required to engage with government representatives, diplomats, NGO leaders and some of the world’s finest legal practitioners as part of this role. You will look across the Coalition’s work and develop relationships with member countries and their embassies to identify human-centred stories that showcase the MFC’s work. The ideal candidate will be skilled at turning issues into stories and comfortable with taking the initiative and taking ownership of this area of the Secretariat’s work.

The role is based in Canary Wharf in London. The role is full time and you would be expected to attend TRF’s offices two or more days per week.

This is a 21-month fixed-term contract, starting 1 July 2024 or earlier, depending on availability. The contract may be extended beyond March 2026, conditional on further funds being secured for the Secretariat’s continued operation.

Some travel is anticipated as part of this role.

About The Role

As the Communications Manager you will:

• Research, develop, edit and write communications materials including impact stories and case studies for the MFC’s website and potentially other platforms, using multimedia options where appropriate

• Lead on the implementation of the MFC’s communications strategy, potentially making improvements to this, and tracking key performance indicators accordingly

• Manage the MFC’s website and social media channels (currently focused on Twitter/X) and monitor analytics/produce reports; manage upgrades to the MFC website in collaboration with TRF colleagues

• Curate and produce the MFC’s monthly network newsletter, which is sent to all MFC members and stakeholders

• Organise MFC events, online or in-person, and secure engaging speakers to feature in them

• Plan the MFC’s communications activities, taking account of communications opportunities such as anniversaries and international days

• Promote and maximise the impact of joint statements by MFC member countries, and monitor their impact

• Produce resources for member governments and their embassies, helping them to communicate on key media freedom issues

• Build relationships with media freedom organisations and networks to ensure wider communications reach and opportunities to collaborate

• Identify opportunities to feature the MFC within national/regional/international media as appropriate and build relationships to facilitate this

• Organise events (online or in-person) in collaboration with other members of the team, including developing content, finding speakers, and event coordination

About You

To be our Communications Manager, you will likely have:

• Solid experience in a communications role, producing communications outputs as part of a communications strategy

• Ability to write clear, concise and engaging copy with excellent attention to detail

• A diplomatic approach, including the ability to see issues from others’ perspectives and to spot and mitigate potential risks

• Ability to forge trusted relations with a wide range of cross-sector stakeholders

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

• Fluency in English; other languages desirable but not necessary

It would be useful if you also have:

• Understanding of, or interest in, media freedom issues

• Experience of working with government officials (at any level)

• Experience working effectively as part of a remote team on collaborative initiatives

About the role:

The SHP Somerset Cluster is based in the heart of the London’s theatre and shopping districts – the main hub is just off Drury Lane, with the other sites near Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. The aim of the service is to support people over the age of 18 to navigate various support needs and develop the skills required to maintain independent accommodation long term.   

As a multiple disadvantage (MD) referral and move on coordinator, you will work as part of a larger support team to ensure that consideration is given to the individual experiences of multiple disadvantage when it comes to accessing and moving on from our service.   

You will work with people from their first interaction with the service: at the point of referral, ensuring that all aspects of someone’s experience is considered by undertaking a trauma informed, culturally sensitive assessment and supporting your colleagues to develop their awareness of these experiences. 

From here you will then support their journey through the service by working alongside other support staff to foster a culture of move on, supporting the development of holistic and realistic move on goals.   

This work will be underpinned and supported through the development of a move on programme. This programme, developed and overseen by the MD Referral and Move on Coordinators in partnership with the Recovery and Opportunity Coordinators, will be not only look to develop confidence and ability to navigate social systems, but also be accredited through SHP’s AQA Registered Learning Centre.   

In addition, you will carry your own caseload for people living in the step-down services to ensure that they are prepared, equipped, and confident about moving on. This may include identifying current barriers within the system that can prevent someone from moving on successfully or within their set timeframe. 

About you:

• Experience of coordinating projects across multiple teams or people with varying roles to achieve successful outcomes for vulnerable people
• Knowledge and awareness of the intersection of needs in people facing multiple disadvantage & strong understanding of how the intersection & co-occurrence of these issues can make it difficult for people to engage with support or to move on from services.
• The ability to judge the appropriate response to situations that you find challenging or emotionally difficult
• The ability to work as part of a team to ensure that everyone is clear in their roles and provide peer support and guidance when needed, working through any arising conflict professionally and successfully
• Strong time management skills, ability to work on own initiative, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards.
• Excellent administrative and IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, database usage and e-mail, and the ability to interrogate and extrapolate data from various sources

You will report on progress to both internal and external stakeholders, becoming the local partners’ ‘critical friend’ and focal point of contact, and support them in setting up new programmes. This may include delivering programme design, training and producing toolkits and resources, and developing evaluation frameworks. You will work with local partners on all aspects of programme delivery, from project implementation, review, monitoring and evaluation and budget management. 

You will have extensive experience of supporting organisations to deliver safe and impactful programmes, with a good understanding of skills development programmes, especially in relation to employability, entrepreneurship and education. This will be coupled with significant experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa. • Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.  
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide support to all the women, including running co-designed activities and accompanying women to appointments. You will work closely with Specialist Support Workers who manage individual resident support and safety plans.
• You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rota, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. In this new role, you will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate working proactively with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that we grow our portfolio of contracts, re-win existing business and advise clients of new services. The Role

Are you passionate about working with communities across Greater London, helping to reduce the harmful impact gambling can have on individuals and families? 

Do you want to make a difference by raising awareness of gambling-related harms within community groups across Greater London, helping to build confidence in talking openly about gambling and the support available from our service?

If so, one of the key priorities of GamCare London is to reach out to individuals, families, and communities to make it easier to talk about gambling and gambling related harms. This is done by working across the area to engage with underserved communities, ensuring everyone can access information and support.

Crucially, you’ll be responsible for building effective working partnerships with professional services through the delivery of presentations, networking and creating new referral pathways. Your role will be integral in making the service accessible, by embedding support for gambling related harm across communities in Greater London.

Working hours are usually 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however, to meet the needs of the service the role might include some evenings and occasional weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Participation in service promotion, networking activities and events to support visibility and ongoing development of the service 
• Development and maintenance of relationships with local services and communities, providing information to support identification of gambling harms and pathways into service
• Development of collaborative working relationships with external agencies, professionals, and groups, and delivering presentations on gambling harms and how to support people to access the service

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships 

You’ll be ambitious to take the next step and we are on hand to support and offer you training and a positive working environment to allow you to gain confidence and knowledge in the role at a steady pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

About the Role

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantages.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• You will be responsible for providing support to all the residents as needed during the evening and night, including running co-designed activities, and responding appropriately to requests and incidents.
• The successful applicant must be able to model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, be skilled at building trust and be a great team player. You must be confident working as the sole support worker on site and have good judgement in managing incidents.
• This is a waking night support role, undertaking 12 hour shifts alongside concierge, 8pm to 8am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

The role

As Community Engagement Officer you will play a key role in ensuring the Foundation achieves its objectives of engaging with and increasing physical activity levels amongst the four key priority groups facing the greatest inequalities: low socio-economic groups, women and girls, disabled people and people with long term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities. This will predominantly be achieved through the critical support you will provide to our ambitious PlayZones Programme, as we continue to roll the programme out across priority areas of the Country.

We have an ambition to deliver in excess of 200 PlayZone facilities by 2025. To realise this ambition, we’re going to focus on investing in safe, inclusive, and accessible facilities in communities with the greatest need. We will tackle inequalities in physical activity levels and create inclusive opportunities for our priority groups to become active through recreational formats of football and other sports and activities.

With a great deal to do, the role will be pivotal in working with local groups to support them through the application process, and to ensure high quality projects are being developed based on local community need.

The role sits within the Football Foundation’s Delivery Team, the team responsible for strategic identification and capital project delivery, reporting to the Community Engagement Lead and with responsibility for a portfolio of PlayZone programme areas within one of the Delivery Team geographical regions.

You will provide critical support to applicants and work extremely closely with our network of Delivery Managers & Officers to advise and agree community engagement plans for a range of Over £25k projects – helping to ensure their engagement is robust, but that applicants also receive support and guidance as required throughout the development of their application.

Community Engagement Officers will champion the benefits of great engagement, capturing good practice, identifying successful approaches, and share knowledge and learning across the Foundation and other stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to follow football to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

You must be educated to HND/Degree standard, or with the equivalent experience, with knowledge of how sports development can be used for community benefit. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and customers remotely.

Your knowledge of place-based working and how to best reach and engage with local communities will be key for this role, as well as your understanding of the inequalities that exist in supporting active lives across socio economic groups, women & girls, individuals with a disability or a long-term health condition, and culturally diverse communities. You will be aware of and have experience of dealing with the operations and challenges faced by community organisations, charities, and the voluntary sector.

You must be highly organised, with working knowledge of different project management techniques and experience of managing multiple projects at the same time. While not essential, experience of producing robust reports and of using dashboards to monitor the progress of projects would be useful.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London.  Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years, and this new role has been identified by the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer to support Jigsaw4u’s position and aspirations for the future.

As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. JOB PURPOSE 

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team. 

In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem- solving skills. You will be a confident communicator with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets. 

You will line manage the PPH Coordinator, with responsibility for managing performance and supporting their development.

This role is predominately an account management post, with some new business development.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES 

• Lead on the management of a number of high value strategic corporate partnerships, liaising across departments and virtual teams to monitor, evaluate and report on progress against partnership KPIs, targets, activities and budgets. 
• Develop annual and multi-year budgets and plans for partners.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The primary focus of this external-facing role is to ensure that Bond’s member organisations are deeply engaged across a wide-range of Bond services and activities.

Using an account management approach, you will thrive on seeking out, building and nurturing relationships with key job roles at every level within our member organisations, offering them regular support and advice on how to get the most out of their membership of Bond. 

As the first point of contact for Bond members, you will deliver outstanding customer service with a warm, helpful, and confident demeanour, lead meetings with members to understand their needs and identify engagement opportunities, and introduce members to Bond colleagues when appropriate. A firm grasp of the Member Value Proposition is essential, as is the ability to confidently and enthusiastically speak to all aspects of it when interacting with members.

Working alongside the membership and marketing manager, you will help to develop and implement strategies to retain existing members, using data (in Salesforce, our CRM) to inform and tailor our approach including identifying members with low activity or gaps in engagement. You will gather feedback and intel from members through surveys and other mechanisms so that we better understand how and why they value Bond and to identify potential new initiatives and services they may find useful. One of your responsibilities is member renewals (which is integrated with Salesforce), in which you will work with the Salesforce Adviser to ensure that the process is optimised and efficient. You will also regularly compose member emails and newsletters and contribute to Bond reporting and Board papers.

While the role sits in the Communications and Member Services team, it is integral across the organisation. You will regularly meet and collaborate with colleagues across our policy and advocacy, sector transformation and senior leadership teams to possess a thorough understanding their work and the value-add it provides to members. Likewise, your deep comprehension of what members need from Bond will input into Bond’s strategy and membership offer. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Member engagement and account management

• Create and implement effective strategies to engage members and keep them involved and interested in Bond’s activities and initiatives.
• Build and nurture relationships with key member audiences to better understand their needs and requirements of Bond and clearly articulate the member value proposition.
• Regularly meet members (predominantly online, but also in person) to discuss their membership and engagement opportunities.
• Ensure the contact data we hold on key member contacts is accurate.
• Coordinate the member renewals process including the communications schedule, automated reminders, reviewing fees and raising invoices.
• Work alongside the membership and marketing manager, Director of CMT and colleagues to develop and implement the member retention strategy, audience profiling work and Member Value Proposition.
• Provide regular communications and updates to member contacts using the Campaign Monitor email marketing tool.
• Contribute ideas to the improvement and development of the membership structures and systems.
• Be the first point of contact for membership queries.

Data analysis and insights

• Monitor, analyse and report on membership activity held in our CRM (Salesforce).
• Use data to understand trends and inform member engagement and service delivery.
• Work with colleagues to ensure that engagement information is logged in our CRM in an accurate and timely manner.
• Support the creation and analysis of member insight surveys.
• Work with team members to ensure that data is held in accordance with Bond’s data protection policy.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in a membership focused role within a membership organisation or network.
• An innate tendency and proven track record in establishing and nurturing relationships with contacts at all levels within an organisation.
