Key Purpose:

To work as part of a team that provide high quality casework and grant applications to farming people that come to RABI for support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality information, advice and guidance in an empathetic and professional manner.
• Conduct a holistic needs assessment for each service user according to their individual circumstances.

Job Title: Children and Family Worker

Location: Based on site in West London (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota Monday to Friday between 07:30 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:00 and 11:30 - 19:30 with occasional Saturdays, at least one Saturday every 3 months between 09:00 - 17:00.

Are you passionate about providing safe and stable accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse? Wanting to help make a difference and provide specialist support to them to gain greater independence? This might be the role for you.

As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities. 

You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support. 

About you

We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed. 

• A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds

Job Description

Catch22 are excited to be recruiting for a specialist Women & Girls Case worker for our new Home Office Funded County Lines Support and Rescue Service. The Case Worker role will undertake 121 work with young people under 25yrs old and will specialise in working with female young people within the service.

Rescue Service a rescue service with out of hours capacity to facilitate the safe return home, at a critical teachable moment, of under 25’s from London, the West Midlands, Merseyside and Greater Manchester where they are identified outside of their home police force area in connection with county lines.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will be:

• Provide one to one, end to end, appropriate support, and interventions to a pre-defined case load of female young people involved in County Lines activity (and their families where appropriate) who are referred by means of effective assessment, care planning and risk management
• Act as the single point of contact and specialist in the region for women and girls involved in County Lines activity. Attend multi-agency meetings and engage with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the distinct needs and circumstances of women and girls and how the service can support them.  Act as point of contact in the region for our partners, providing gender based training, awareness and developing a differentiated offer to improve the impact and effectiveness of services for women and girls involved in County Lines Activity.
• Proactively and continually assess and manage risk of caseload, using internal and external safeguarding procedures for escalation and where necessary and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect the individual needs and circumstances of young people.
• To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service planning and delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
• Liaise effectively with local partner organisations and other relevant agencies to ensure effective referrals, care and risk management as well as ease of transition and referral for young people and to promote the continued joint work of the service and other partners. Act as a sub-regional or district single point of contact where required.

This post will involve travel across the regional area, the ability be on call on a rota system and occasional evening and weekend working.

Qualifications/Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a related field such as youth work, community work, health & social care, or a similar discipline.
• Experience working directly with young people (aged 8–25) and their families, particularly those identified as vulnerable or with complex needs.
• A strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by young women and girls affected by exploitation and County Lines activity.
• Proven experience of multi-agency working, ideally with Children’s Services, Youth Justice, or other statutory and voluntary organisations.
• Knowledge of risk and vulnerability issues affecting young people, and the ability to assess and manage these risks appropriately.
• Ability to deliver one-to-one and group interventions, and to adapt engagement strategies to meet individual needs.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain accurate records using data management systems.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as part of an on-call rota.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites.  You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. About You

• You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
• You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. 
• You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

We are recruiting a Casework Coordinator to deliver support services to people seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sex characteristics.

We now have an opportunity for a Casework Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in helping women seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation improve their ability and resilience to cope with the challenges they face and build support networks.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours a week) or job-sharing will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £31,294 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part-time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting a Senior Casework and Service Coordinator to assist the Support Services Manager, provide guidance and advice to colleagues, and manage incoming queries from service users. The Senior Casework and Service Coordinator is a new role that will take on some of the responsibilities of the Support Services Manager, freeing the manager up to work on service development and strategic matters.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 28 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £36,994 with potential annual step increases up to £41,315 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. The role will provide line management for a team of seven Specialist Behaviour Support Workers, ensuring that compliance with organisational, legal regulations and those of the local authority are adhered to and the quality of support is of the highest standard possible, ensuring excellent quality of life for the customer and a good working environment for colleagues.

The service has received a CQC rating of Good. The current team size includes 5 FTEs (Specialist Behaviour Support Workers) plus 2 FTEs Waking Night Support Workers, ensuring comprehensive support coverage across all shifts.

About the Role

You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Hackney borough community, within Family hub settings as well as in Homerton Hospital. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing breastfeeding support to families within family hubs settings within Hackney and on the wards at Homerton            hospital.

· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters. 

· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding                 Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.  

· To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 

· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all          support is accessible and inclusive.

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

We work to address local barriers to education such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision and issues around employment and fair wages. We do this through our partnership with South London Citizens. This role leads on the development and delivery of community organising initiatives and supports the wider integration of these methods across King’s. Through community organising, the role empowers school leaders, young people and parents to design, launch and sustain impactful campaigns. The post holder will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful change, including engagement in broader, high profile local, regional and national initiatives.

The postholder will use community organising methodology to lead and expand our core community organising programmes which are currently, Parent Power South London, Empoderando Familias (in partnership with Citizens UK) and Empower ESOL. A key focus will be driving the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions in collaboration with The Brilliant Club, where we have a commitment to support the launch of a new chapter each year through to 2028/29. We’re recruiting for a Communications Manager, England, to play a vital role in helping us to build community cohesion, strengthen society, and improve lives – as we deliver on our strategy, It Starts With Community.This role is an 18 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. 

The position is part of an exciting and sophisticated programme aimed at tackling social issues. Through this initiative, we work closely with government to distribute money from long since unused bank and building society accounts (‘dormant assets’) for the benefit of the community. 

The job will focus on two multi-million-pound funding schemes that The National Lottery Community Fund will deliver. These are:

•  The Community Wealth Fund (a pot of money given to local communities to spend on what they decide will improve where they live); and 
• The Youth Enrichment Fund (aimed at increasing disadvantaged young people’s access to opportunities in the arts, culture, sports, and wider youth services, aimed at improving wellbeing and employability)

In this role, you’ll work closely with government and colleagues across the Fund to deliver integrated, multi-channel communications activities that effectively promote these programmes and showcase their impact on the communities we serve. Your work will help shape public understanding of the schemes, inspire communities to engage with them, and build trust with key stakeholders.

We are looking for a calm and organised strategic communicator and storyteller with an ability to build relationships and adapt. You’ll be experienced in developing integrated campaigns and working across teams to deliver high-impact communications. 

Key responsibilities:

•  Develop deep insight into these programmes, to enable you to implement effective communications plans for them while supporting Strategic Communications Leads to build and manage matrix teams.
•  Design, develop, and deliver messaging, narrative and content, as well as social and brand assets, working closely with colleagues in the wider team to deliver effective and impactful communications activities.
• Build positive relationships with government comms and policy counterparts as well as with teammates and colleagues across the Fund to make programme communications relevant and resonate internally and within Government departments (specifically DCMS and MHCLG) and, most importantly, the communities we serve.
• Work closely with colleagues in the media team to deliver integrated activities, monitoring media and advising on opportunities and risks. Ensure rapid response to emerging issues with processes and protocol on lines to take and spokespeople. 

Interview date: 15th and 16th September with a written task to be completed beforehand - virtual

Location: England, we have a hybrid approach to working. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. Our England offices are Birmingham, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle

Essential criteria

• A relevant qualification or demonstrable experience in a communications role within a complex organisational environment
•  Track record in planning and delivering integrated communications campaigns, with experience managing matrix teams
• Excellent content and copywriting abilities, used to producing assets to tight deadlines. Able to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels
• Experience in complex institutions, involving colleagues and stakeholders up to leadership level
• Project management abilities – confident working in a matrixed organisation with competing deadlines
• Experience of strategic communications counsel and advising senior leaders and stakeholders, particularly in times of reputational risk and crisis management
• Experience of working in high-pressure situations and an ability to adapt calmly to changing deadlines and requirements with short notice. 

Desirable criteria

• Experience in government and / or the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

What you'll do:

· Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader / Manager

· Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions

· Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available

· Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

· Support customers to move on from the service through their identified move on pathway liaising with Tower Hamlet's HOST and Clearing House.

· Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community

· Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to

· Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards

· Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team

· Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible

· Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills

· Ability to defuse challenging behaviour with awareness of personal safety.

· Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned
