The role:
 
The Visibility & Communications Campaigner is a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile and impact of our forest campaigns, working in a collaborative, creative and mission driven work environment with the opportunity for international travel.
 
The role will work closely with our Communications department to focus on producing and sharing compelling communications that highlight the lived experienced of forest communities, expose environmental crimes and influence decision makers at national and international levels.
 
This is a creative campaigning role that combines storytelling, media engagement, digital communications, and strategic advocacy. The postholder will work closely with campaigners, investigators, partners, and affected communities to ensure that evidence and voices from the ground reach global audiences and drive change.
 
About you:

• You must have demonstrated experience in communications, campaigning, or media work for NGOs, civil society, or advocacy organisations.
• You will have excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with ability to tailor outputs for different audiences (communities, policymakers, media, public).
• You will have strong digital communications skills, including social media strategy and multimedia content production.
• You will need experience working with journalists and securing impactful media coverage.
• You will be committed to environmental justice, human rights, and amplifying community voices.
• You will be sensitive to working with at-risk partners and applying safe communications practices.
• Ideally you will have experience working on forest governance, environmental crime, or extractive industries, as well as experience supporting Indigenous Peoples, grassroots defenders, or frontline communities to develop communications.
• Familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT), data visualisation, or campaign dashboards, would be an advantage.

Location: Hybrid Working possible – UK-based role, offices in London Islington at least 2 days per week and remaining home working. International travel is required as part of the role.
Hours: 40 hours per week, including a paid hour for lunch

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Manager is a key member of Ark T’s operational team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance. The role supports strategic decision-making through the provision of timely and reliable financial information. Working closely with the CEO, senior staff, and external accountants, the Finance Manager ensures the smooth running of all financial processes and systems, with particular attention to the needs and context of a small but ambitious arts and mental health charity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Systems and Bookkeeping

• Manage Ark T’s accounting system (Xero), ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts, process payments, and track income
• Maintain accurate records for restricted and unrestricted funding, ensuring correct allocations
• Manage Ark T’s bank accounts, including maintaining up-to-date records of authorised users, login permissions, and password security protocols

2. Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Work with senior staff and programme leads to develop annual and project budgets
• Monitor actual spend against budgets, identifying variances and providing explanations
• Update Ark T’s multi-year financial planning spreadsheets
• Support budget development for funding applications

3. Management Accounts and Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts in collaboration with Ark T’s accountants
• Present financial reports to the CEO, Board of Trustees, and funders as required
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and support financial modelling for new initiatives

4. Payroll

• Work with external accountants to process monthly payroll and ensure all staff are paid correctly and on time

5. Pensions (if required)

• Support the monitoring of pension contributions and liaise with the pension provider, if necessary
• Ensure compliance with relevant pension regulations where applicable

6. Grant and Funding Monitoring

• Maintain the funding tracker, ensuring grant income is correctly recorded and restricted funds are monitored
• Track expenditure for individual grants, ensuring spend is aligned with budgets and deadlines
• Prepare financial reports for funders and support monitoring returns

7. Gift Aid and Donations

• Maintain accurate Gift Aid records and process Gift Aid claims in line with HMRC regulations
• Work with the CEO and Fundraising team to ensure donor records are up to date and claims are maximised
• Ensure appropriate audit trails are in place for donations and declarations

8. Compliance and Financial Controls

• Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed and regularly reviewed
• Ensure compliance with HMRC, Charity Commission, and other relevant statutory bodies
• Liaise with the independent examiner/auditor for the annual accounts and support audit preparation, if necessary

9. Systems and Administration

• Maintain and improve financial templates, tools, and spreadsheets to support efficiency
• Maintain secure records of financial system passwords and ensure appropriate access control
• File and manage financial documentation for easy access and transparency
• Work collaboratively with senior staff to improve data collection for financial impact and evaluation

10. Administrative and Operational Support

• Provide cover for key financial processes in key staff's absence, including logging into the bank account to tick the “authorise” button for payments such as payroll and expense reimbursements
• Provide general finance-related administrative support as required by the senior staff or wider team
• Help ensure smooth financial operations during periods of staff absence or leave
• Contribute to wider organisational processes such as document filing, internal communications, and coordination where needed

Essential Skills and Experience

• AAT Level 3 or 4 (Association of Accounting Technicians)
• Experience using Xero accounting software
• Strong Excel skills and ability to maintain and analyse complex spreadsheets
• Experience preparing or reviewing management accounts and budgets
• Understanding of charity finance, including restricted funding and funder reporting
• Familiarity with Gift Aid regulations and processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to be professional, polite, and welcoming when interacting with funders, visitors, and external partners

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA).

Through our Access & Participation Plan 2025–2029, we have made ambitious commitments to expand our place-based work to improve young people’s educational outcomes and tackle barriers to university access and broader social inequalities.

Our place-based approach focuses on addressing localised challenges such as mental health, pathways to citizenship, access to English language provision, and employment and fair wages. We work in close partnership with South London Citizens to achieve this shared mission. This role leads the development and delivery of collaborative, community-led initiatives and supports the wider integration of this approach across King’s. Through these initiatives, the postholder empowers community members to design, launch, and sustain impactful campaigns that respond directly to local needs. They will work closely with Citizens UK organisers and colleagues across King’s to build strong partnerships and drive meaningful, place-based change, including engagement in broader local, regional, and national initiatives.

Using community organising methodology, the postholder will lead and expand our core place-based programmes: Parent Power South London and Empoderando Familias, delivered with South London Citizens, and EmpowerESOL, facilitated in collaboration with internal King’s teams. A key focus will also be the strategic growth of our flagship Parent Power programme into new regions, in partnership with The Brilliant Club. This initiative empowers parents and carers to engage actively in their children’s education while building networks of community organisers who drive change locally and nationally.

At the heart of this role is a commitment to collaboration and community, both external and internal, as powerful drivers of social impact. The postholder will also support and develop the WP Champions Network, a university-wide staff community passionate about social mobility. About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an experienced fundraiser to help build income from corporate fundraising with an emphasis on securing long term and strategic partnerships.

Reporting to the Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for proactively generating significant income from five and six figure corporate partnerships by managing the new business pipeline, identifying new opportunities, building relationships and networking with key stakeholders and producing compelling applications and creative partnership proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity to build on previous experience and develop your skills in business development. Previous experience of securing high value, strategic partnerships in the third sector would be beneficial. Responsible for a third of the charity’s income the team are driven, highly motivated & results orientated.

What you'll do:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication

- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Sports Events Fundraiser to support the planning, development and delivery of a portfolio of events from Rainbow Trust’s events programme.

Reporting to the Events Manager, you will work closely with colleagues to lead on fundraising and engagement activities, including the planning, delivery and marketing of a portfolio of high-profile and high-value sports fundraising events, including the London Marathon and Arctic Adventure Challenge; and assist on the delivery of special events including the London Carol Concert.

We have developed and started an ambitious strategy to grow our UK wide and international sports fundraising programme and you will proactively support our strategy by effectively stewarding supporters and motivating them to ensure maximum engagement and income for Rainbow Trust.

What we’re looking for:

· A fundraiser with an action-oriented approach – you can achieve goals and organise events with a sense of urgency and high attention to detail

· An effective communicator with the ability to motivate others with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers/supporters

We are seeking a part-time Communications and Marketing Officer to join the Foundation during an exciting period of growth. You will work as part of a small team to deliver our fundraising strategy – by 2028 we aim to be raising £1 million a year to fund vital work in the National Park.

• Protect our peatlands. The Park contains some of the most degraded upland peatland anywhere in Europe. We’re working to restore Peak District blanket bogs and peatland back to health, conserving this vital carbon capturing habitat for the future.
• Restore habitats. Nature is in crisis even in our National Park. We’re working to create bigger, better and more joined up habitats across the Peak District, supporting biodiversity and providing essential corridors for wildlife.
• Connect people and communities to nature. The more people who are connected to nature, the more people will want to protect it. We are working to ensure people of all ages and backgrounds have opportunities to experience and care for our National Park.
• Ensure access for everyone. There are over 1,600 miles of paths within the National Park. We’re working to fund high quality path repair, improve access for people with disabilities and help more people enjoy their right to roam.
• Protect our cultural heritage. The Peak District landscape has been shaped by people. We’re working to protect and conserve these irreplaceable heritage sites, from historic buildings and industrial structures to pre-historic features.

About the Role

In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire, with the ability to make an impact quickly.  You’ll bring proven hands-on experience in a similar role working with a team to establish effective and innovative ways to deliver services. 
 

Main Responsibilities 

1. Strategic and Operational Leadership

·       Hold overall accountability for service performance and quality, working through the Adult, Young and Hospital Carers Team Leaders who lead day-to-day operations 

·       Ensure alignment with our strategic priorities and our commissioned outcomes.

·       Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team, supporting organisational strategy, planning and delivery.

·       Ensure that all carer services operate cohesively, with smooth transitions between age groups and consistent quality standards.

·       Use data and feedback to drive service improvement and innovation.

2. Service Delivery and Quality

·       Oversee the effective management of the Adult, Young, Young Adult and Hospital teams.

·       Embed a culture of high performance, reflective practice and continuous learning.

·       Ensure strong safeguarding practices are central in all services

·       Ensure systems are used consistently for case management, data recording and reporting.

·       Work with the Diverse Communities Worker and other leads to ensure services are inclusive, culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of underrepresented groups 

·       Oversee the effective involvement of volunteers within carer services, working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure they are well-supported, trained and valued as integral members of the team.

3. People Leadership and Team Development

·       Foster collaboration and a supportive team culture built on the Carers Bucks values.

·       Line-manage and support the three Team Leads, ensuring clarity of priorities, effective supervision and professional growth.

·       Support wellbeing, resilience and a sense of shared purpose across teams.

4. Safeguarding

·       Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Carers Bucks, providing advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements, and escalating concerns appropriately.

·       Maintain oversight of all safeguarding cases across the organisation and support Team Leaders in their DDSL responsibilities.

5. Partnership and Representation

·       Provide strategic coordination across thematic leads (Diverse Communities, Hospitals, Volunteers) to ensure alignment and shared priorities across services 

·       Represent Carers Bucks strategically with partners across social care, education and health. 

·       Support the CEO in relationships with commissioners, primary and secondary care, schools and VCSE partners to enhance identification and referral of carers.

·       Champion the voice of carers of all ages through partnership boards, networks and other forums.

6. Performance, Impact and Reporting

·       Monitor performance against contract outcomes, KPIs and quality standards.

·       Work with our Data Lead to ensure accurate reporting and a strong evidence base for our work. 

·       Analyse trends and learning to inform service design and improvement.

·       Contribute to quarterly and annual reports for commissioners and trustees.

·       Provide effective feedback upwards to the CEO.

7. Organisational Contribution

·       Contribute to strategic planning, risk management and organisational development.

·       Represent Carers Bucks at events, conference and key campaigns 

·       Lead on the co-design of new approaches, including digital and preventative models.

·       Stay abreast of local and national developments in carers’ policy and practice.

·       Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Case Manager with the Drive team in Lancashire. Drive in Lancashire currently covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and Morecambe.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, Safelives, and Social Finance is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting challenging and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change - to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

By supporting individuals to make meaningful changes, the role also contributes to improved quality of life and safer outcomes - helping offenders to move away from the criminal justice system.

About the Role

As a Case Manager you will strive to make contact and work on a one-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. To do this you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risk, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA's (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse and /or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
