This is a very exciting time for The Social Change Nest. We continue a trajectory of steep growth, onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements. About the Social Change Nest

At the Social Change Nest (SCN), we’re radically transforming the funding landscape and strengthening civil society. We remove the financial and administrative barriers – like bank accounts and legal structures – that often prevent communities, grassroots groups and informal movements from accessing funding and focusing on their core mission. We also work closely with funders, enabling them to support social action with confidence and transparency.

We currently support over 700 groups across the UK and abroad addressing issues such as social injustice, climate, housing, wellbeing and animal rights. We are at the forefront of fiscal hosting in Europe and, since our inception in 2021, we have supported groups in securing over £50 million in funding, helping them take advantage of opportunities that may have otherwise been unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

 Business Development

• Work with the Development Lead and the Head of Development to ensure that all new groups have an excellent onboarding experience that is both timely and values aligned.
• Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
• Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.
• Quickly build strong rapport with funders and community groups to ensure effective implementation of our strategy.

Pipeline & Financial Management

• Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
• Support the Head of Development in managing the budgeting processes and preparing essential documentation for pitches and contracts.

Integration

• Support the integration of Development with other departments.
• Work closely with other members of the Development team to ensure our work is an orchestrated effort to deliver our strategic goals.
• Spot opportunities for increased efficiency, build processes where missing, contribute to the overall development of the organisation.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven business development expertise in the philanthropic sector with a track record of winning new business, and able to apply these skills to enhance our business development strategies.
• A good understanding of the philanthropic and grant-making sectors in the UK, Europe and the USA, with the ability to use this to enrich our strategies and client interactions.
• Able to use your knowledge and skills to identify and seize opportunities for growth through partnerships, projects and clients.
• Numerate and adept at analysing data to derive insights that guide business planning and strategy.

We are very excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Community Fund to help us support our most valued micro and small voluntary and community groups in Oxfordshire.

As the Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward this partnership initiative, working collaboratively with our delivery partners, with local stakeholders, community and voluntary sector groups, and our funder The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure that impact measurement and activity reporting is kept on track. YES care about young people's mental health, sexual health and wellbeing. The Outreach and Support Officer will deliver knowledgeable, high-quality, youth-centred support to young people in various settings.

You will get out into the community via outreach engagement, offering one-to-one support, events and groups.  You iwill be a key part of our Information and Guidance team, delivering wellbeing programmes and workshops for YES.

About the role 

The Policy and Research Trainee post is a broad-ranging development role that will support the post-holder to gain knowledge and experience of various aspects of policy and research within a specialist health and care policy team.

You will contribute to projects across a wide range of issues relating to health and social care policy and practice (see our website for some examples of our recent projects). You will gain experience in creating a range of outputs for different audiences, publishing and presenting research findings in an accessible way. Training will be available both internally and externally to develop not only relevant research skills but also wider aspects such as writing and giving presentations.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.

Working with the Senior Caseworker and Team Manager your role and responsibilities include: 

•Support staff to liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding our work

•Support staff to keep and maintain robust recording and monitoring systems

•Maintain, collect, edit and store documentation of our work including photos, case studies for Newsletters, funding reports and other records

•Support our senior case workers with weekly drop-in advice sessions at KLS, including completing forms with families, general admin tasks etc.  

•Support casework team with making and following up on internal and/or external referrals, signposting whenever relevant and according to adequate referral pathways and in response to the young people’s/family's needs – with support and guidance from staff

•Add information to our database – guided by team leads/managers - log all cases; monitor progress and ensure all identified actions are taken

•Support with casework tasks, guided by senior caseworker and manager, from initial contact to resolution, maintaining confidentiality throughout

•Liaise with external agencies and organisations on behalf of clients

•Respond to enquiries by telephone, email, referring on internally or externally organisations when necessary

•Ensure records are kept and information managed confidentially in line with the data protection legislation

•Supporting Refugee team with general admin, database, evaluation data

Teamwork and reporting

•Work with Future Foundations team members to coordinate work, refer young people and/or parents/carers to our casework and advice team.

·      Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) to effectively support Arabic-speaking service users and families

Operating as a blended role across the Membership and Marketing and Communications teams, this role will support the day-to-day membership and digital communication functions of the NI.

This role is responsible for membership administration and digital communications including processing and onboarding new members to managing ongoing renewals and maintaining the membership database, managing the delivery of Lunch & Learn sessions, Drop-In sessions and a range of themed technical and non-technical webinars, supporting HQ conferences and managing digital communications, member feedback and related marketing activity that underpins effective member engagement.

This role is critical in ensuring that members receive excellent customer service, timely communication, and accurate information about the institute’s services and benefits to support the organisation’s mission to engage and retain members, ensuring they receive value from their membership and are satisfied with their experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational, attention to detail, digital and communications skills with proficiency in database management and who enjoys building connections, creating engaging content, turning feedback into action.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Administration

· Support the renewals process to ensure prompt collection of membership subscriptions including conducting follow-up campaigns to minimise lapsers. 

· Manage correspondence related to the onboarding process including preparing and sending membership welcome emails, and other communications as appropriate.

· Manage the Membership inbox responding to queries and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary.

· Support with the administration of Organisational Members including processing new members, issuing invoices and any other tasks as required.

· Assist with the development and implementation of new membership strategies.

· Other tasks to support the Membership and Business Development Director and Membership Manager as necessary.

Member Engagement and Digital Events

· Coordinate and deliver a structured programme of online events, including:

- Lunch & Learn sessions

- Drop-in member forums

- Themed webinar series covering both technical and non-technical topics

· Manage all webinar logistics, including registration, hosting, and post-event communications.

· Work closely with the Communities Officer and regional branches to promote local and regional events.

· Gather and analyse event feedback and attendance data to evaluate engagement levels and member satisfaction.

Digital Marketing & Communications

· Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns to promote membership activities, including a monthly member-focused email highlighting benefits such as mentoring, e-learning, and events.

· Create engaging and relevant content for the NI website, newsletters, and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn).

· Develop promotional materials and manage a central events calendar to ensure consistent and timely communications.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain and regularly cleanse the membership database to ensure all records are accurate and up to date relating to membership and marketing.
• Generate and manage Nuclear Future mailing lists as required.
• Produce analytical reports on membership growth, retention, and engagement.
• Collect, analyse, and present member feedback from surveys and event participation.
• Deliver quarterly reports highlighting engagement trends and insights.
• Apply both quantitative and qualitative data to inform and shape future engagement strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Customer Service

· Serve as a point of contact for current and potential members, answering enquiries via phone, email, and online.

· Provide information about membership benefits, policies, and procedures.

· Resolve membership-related issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

General

· Liaise with suppliers and partners where needed to deliver promotional or event materials.

Experience and Skills

Essential Experience

· 2–3 years’ experience in membership administration, customer service, event co-ordination or marketing or a similar administrative role, ideally within a non-profit, association, or professional membership organisation.

· Proficient in using CRM or membership management systems, including database management, reporting.

· Experience in administering membership or customer renewals processes.

· Ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a professional environment.

· Ability to write compelling promotional copy.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using digital engagement and event tools such as Eventbrite, Cvent, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Teams.
