About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School by School Programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
You will be supported by our Chief Innovation Officer, and manage our Chef Trainers delivering our School by School interventions. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor.
Your role will oversee our School by School interventions, delivered across multiple school sites. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. You will be joining a dynamic and growing charity who are passionate about delivering exceptional training, skill sharing, expertise and know-how to advance the quality of food preparation, food service and food education in schools.
You will have an understanding of the context that we operate in, education and food sectors. You will have strong people skills, and the ability to manage effective partnerships with external organisations.

The responsibilities:

To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure that programme delivery is carried out in the most effective and efficient way.

Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

Managing the programme budget, identifying issues, and ensuring milestones are met.

Work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer, Director of Partnerships & Impact and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools and multi-academy trusts interested in our School by School programme.

Working with the School Chef Educator and Membership teams on our regional expansion strategy, creating schools that are centres of excellence across the country.

Working with the School Engagement Manager, attend and contribute to meetings with the Senior Leadership of prospective new schools and academies, developing proposals and financial forecasting.

Liaise and manage relationships with the Senior Leadership in the schools and academies we work with, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes.

To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery.

At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme.

To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School by School programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.

Work with the School Engagement Manager to maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant chef, school lead and engagement information.

Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of schools.

About the role

About you
We are looking for someone to join the charity’s Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of the Dementia Adventure business plan, charitable mission and objectives. The successful applicant will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generation in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking a Training and Development Manager to join our friendly and collaborative team in the Research Directorate, providing key support in the delivery of the Early Career Researcher Network Leadership and Development SHAPE Programme.
The role
The ECRN Training and Development Manager will work closely with the Head of ECRN and the ECRN Training and Development Officer to deliver the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) and Wellcome Leadership and Advancement SHAPE Programme. This involves overseeing the design and delivery of training content, managing budgets and payments, and coordinating logistics across both online and in-person activities.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of efficient working systems, policies, and processes and work collaboratively with the Head of ECRN to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.

Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Young Hammersmith & Fulham and support a five-year collaborative initiative between Young Hammersmith & Fulham and Young Ealing Foundation, focused on strengthening supplementary schools across both boroughs. The Supplementary Schools Support Officer will provide practical support to supplementary schools, helping to improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, and create a thriving network of supplementary schools that share best practices and resources.

- Salary: £30,000 pro rata (16 hours per week - approximately £12,000 per annum)

Key Responsibilities
Programme Management and Support
- Conduct regular site visits to supplementary schools across both boroughs (approximately 8 hours in each borough per week)
- Identify development needs of supplementary schools and connect them with relevant training and networking opportunities

- Facilitate termly network meetings to promote collaboration, information sharing, and professional development

About the Project
This is a five-year collaborative initiative between the Young Hammersmith & Fulham and the Young Ealing Foundation to support supplementary schools across both boroughs. The project has two main components:
1. A grants programme providing £50,000 annually (£25,000 per borough) to support supplementary schools, with an average grant of £3,000 per school.
2. A dedicated Supplementary Schools Support Officer working around 16 hours per week, who will offer practical support to schools.
The project aims to enhance the capacity and sustainability of supplementary schools, improve educational outcomes for young people from diverse communities, preserve cultural heritage and mother-tongue language education, foster a vibrant network of supplementary schools, and strengthen links between supplementary provision and mainstream education.

Young Hammersmith & Fulham is a membership charity dedicated to strengthening our borough's youth sector by supporting the charities, organisations, and professionals working with young people. Purpose of the post
The Engagement and Involvement Lead will engage with young people, families, schools and other interest-holders in the process of designing, delivering and ensuring the best outputs from the Adolescent Health Study, and is critical for the success of the project. We are at the early stages of laying the foundations for this and in this new role we are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to co-ordinate and lead AHS’s cross-UK participant and public involvement and engagement activities.
This is a role that requires high levels of confidence, autonomy, enthusiasm and skill. The postholder will be responsible for delivering the project’s new Engagement and Involvement Strategy, including: establishing and coordinating a Young Persons’ Advisory Group for AHS; developing and delivering AHS public engagement and involvement activities; outsourcing and supervising engagement and involvement activities that are better provided by external partners; scoping and advising on which routes for involvement and engagement activities are best suited to different tasks.

A part-time role developing, curating, delivering and finessing training for two distinct audiences – training for those who have low digital confidence, as well as young people, in how to use digital devices effectively and efficiently; and also training for those who may come into contact with, or wish to learn about, digital poverty, including staff of corporates and community providers.
The former audience – learning about digital skills – will need to gain knowledge and understanding about the foundational elements of using laptops, tablets and smartphones. This includes Essential Digital Skills such as setting passwords, connecting to Wi-Fi and using keyboards, as well as soft skills such as staying safe online, critical thinking and recognising fake news or AI generated imagery.
The latter audience – learning about digital poverty – will need to learn about the causes and impacts of digital poverty, what impact digital exclusion has on families and communities, and how to understand if someone is digitally included.
There may be other training requirements as well – such as training external users of our systems, training corporate volunteers, or a train-the-train model of supporting young people to work with those in their communities.

Your cover letter must:
- Outline your experience, skills and competencies against the Person specification section in the attached Job Description.
- Explain why you want to join UWC International, and specify your preferred location.
- Provide confirmation of your eligibility to work or reside in the UK.
- Provide the name and contact details of two professional referees, including their job title, email address and the capacity in which you are known to them. References are taken up prior to the second round interviews. We will not contact your referees without first letting you know.
