About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Peer IPS Employment Advisor to join our IPS service, you will be based in the borough of Newham, working 35 hours per week. Working Well Trust's services have previously been awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

What you’ll be doing

As a Peer IPS Employment Specialist you will play a vital role in helping people with mental health problems on their employment and recovery journey including using lived experience of recovery to support clients.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service. 

What you’ll need

Experience in employment support is not essential. We are looking for someone who brings:

• Own personal lived experience of recovery from mental health difficulties 
• A genuine desire to support people into meaningful employment.
• Commitment to person-centred work and either experience of or enthusiasm to learn the IPS approach.
• Confidence engaging with employers and promoting the benefits of our service.
• Good organisation skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Beneficial (but not essential): experience working with people with mental health difficulties.

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious person to make a real difference for nature!

This role will work with the Land Manager (West) on the delivery of practical improvements for wildlife across GWT nature reserves and throughout Nature Recovery Zones (NRZs) in the west of the county (Lower Wye Valley, Central Forest of Dean, Severn Hams, Leadon Vale) with workshops at Tidenham Chase, Coleford and Gloucester. Habitats include heathlands, ancient woodland, species-rich unimproved grasslands, floodplain meadows, hay meadows, quarry pits, mires and more.

This role will help to mentor Wild Trainees, and work with volunteer teams to help deliver work plan objectives.

An important part of this role will be supporting the trusts conservation grazing objectives with native and hardy breeds of livestock including Highland cattle, Exmoor ponies and Hebridean sheep.

This is a permanent, full-time post (35 hours per week) subject to a six-month probationary period.

About the Role

The Service Manager post holder will take the lead responsibility (under Ofsted registration) as the Registered Manager of CoramIAC. They will ensure the ongoing delivery of an outstanding VAA that is fully compliant with national minimum standards and regulations; and ensuring high quality adoption support and a sufficient supply of adopters that reflects the diversity of the countries they are adopting from.

Approved Intercountry Adopters may however request to change their approval advice to the UK if they are considered a suitable match for children available and waiting for permanence through Adoption in the UK.

CoramIAC predominantly serve prospective adopters from the global majority and as such recruit and train a highly diverse and skilled group of adopters to enable the best outcomes for children whilst also offering adopter and sector diversity for potentially harder to place children. This includes family groups and older children. Our offer to RAAs via our domestic program therefore delivers families for children who often wait the longest in the care system.

How are staff supported to work remotely?  

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

About you

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

You will be accountable for an income target across Legacy and In Memory giving. This will involve understanding the market in which you operate, including the motivations and drivers behind this type of support, and using insight to inform strategy, campaigns, and stewardship activity.

You will be confident in working with senior managers, directors, and trustees, as well as building strong external relationships with solicitors, Will writers, and professional advisers. Through these partnerships, you will help secure long-term, sustainable funding and ensure St Barnabas Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care to people living with life-limiting and terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.

They undertake ground-breaking research, campaign for change, and run two free helplines providing support and advice: Childline (for children and young people) and Helpline (for adults seeking advice). The key duties of this Financial Accounting & Control Manager will be:

• Lead the production of consolidated statutory accounts for NSPCC and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with SORP and accounting standards.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls to ensure integrity of ledger and reporting.
• Manage VAT, direct tax, and corporate tax compliance, including planning, returns, and negotiations with HMRC.
• Oversee cash flow monitoring and treasury management, including investment and banking relationships.
• Critically evaluate and improve financial processes, documenting procedures and ensuring adherence across the team.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Lead and develop a team of Financial Accountants and Finance Officers, ensuring workload management and staff development.

The successful candidate will have:

• A CCAB-qualified accountancy qualification with experience in a complex financial environment.
• Experience producing consolidated statutory accounts and managing external audits, ideally within the charity sector.
• Proven experience in implementing, documenting, and enforcing financial controls.
• Experience managing, developing, and motivating a small team.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to convey financial information to non-finance colleagues.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach with experience of process improvement and compliance initiatives.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Support Manager to join our innovative Young People, Volunteer and Business Support Directorate. You will manage the Volunteer Support Team and develop and maintain efficient volunteering systems used by our volunteers. This is a key role focussed on supporting the charity’s volunteering strategy and championing best practice in volunteering.

This is an exciting time to join the Sea Cadets with the opportunity to make a real difference to the way volunteers are supported and recognised. The Volunteer Support Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient administration of the volunteer processes via Microsoft Forms and Power Automate, as well as reviewing existing and implementing new systems to make them as effective and as volunteer friendly as possible.

Responsibilities

• To maintain, review and update volunteering systems, processes and approaches ensuring that they are efficient, up-to-date and as volunteer friendly as possible
• To line manage and support the Volunteer Support Team based at the MSSC Support Centre to ensure the delivery of effective and timely support to the volunteers
• To functionally manage and support the Area Volunteer Support Team based across the 6 Area Offices to deliver effective and consistent support to the volunteers
• To work with the Head of Volunteering to review MSSC volunteering policies, monitoring their appropriateness and effectiveness, making recommendations for changes as necessary
• To work with Volunteer Support Officers to develop systems and processes for managing the volunteer support workload and monitoring delivery standards
• To develop guidance and associated resources for the support of volunteers
• To manage the Volunteer Support elements of the Training and Admin website ensuring that the information is relevant, accurate and up to date

Requirements

• Experience of managing and motivating a large team
• Experience of managing, reviewing and refining complex administrative processes
• Experience of running effective CRM systems including the use of Microsoft Forms and Power Automate or similar products
• Experience developing processes which are targeted at both internal and external audiences
• Experience of delivering a first-class service to clients or customers
• An understanding of the voluntary and community sector, ideally within the youth field

• Experience of managing or supervising a team based remotely
• Experience of being a volunteer
• Experience of managing an onboarding process with the understanding of the importance of safer recruitment
• Experience of empowering a team to deliver a first class customer service
• Experience of leading projects manging change with various stakeholders

Purpose of the job:

As a Consumer Service advisor, you will be responsible for handling calls, webchat and webforms received through our national help desk. You will assist consumers by providing free advice and information on contracts for goods and services before, during, or after purchase, including legislation or industry regulations and practical guidance.

Through your excellent communication skills and attention to detail, you will be able to provide accurate and detailed information to consumers and businesses across the country, whilst achieving your individual KPI’s and targets.

By joining us as a consumer service advisor you’ll launch your career into the 3rd sector, and we’ll provide you with in-depth induction training where you’ll quickly become an expert in providing advice to help consumers with the problems they face. Upon completion of probation, you will be able to develop your skills opening up opportunities for progression within the team when available.
