Age UK's award-winning Individual Marketing team is currently recruiting for a Senior Direct Marketing Executive to join our acquisition sub-team. This role is responsible for ensuring we acquire new donors to the charity via multiple offline channels including TV, flyers, door drops and face to face.

As a Senior Direct Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for delivering successful offline campaigns with the primary intention of acquiring new financial donors to Age UK. We're looking for someone with experience delivering and managing direct campaigns to budget, with a keen interest in testing campaigns with a view to enacting changes based on findings. You will need to be comfortable liaising with external suppliers including creative agencies.

We are seeking an organised, data-driven, and creative Individual Giving Officer to support the delivery of high-quality fundraising campaigns that inspire supporters and grow income for Southampton Hospitals Charity. 

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging direct marketing campaigns across print, digital and email channels, with a particular focus on one-off appeals, regular donations, and incentivised giving products. 

Working closely with the Marketing & Campaigns Manager and Marketing & Communications Officer, you will develop audience-led supporter journeys, compelling fundraising copy, and test-and-learn approaches to build lasting supporter relationships and maximise income from individual giving. 

Main Responsibilities: 

Campaign development and delivery 

• Work with the Campaigns & Marketing Manager to plan and deliver a calendar of direct marketing campaigns across print, email, and digital, focused on income generation and donor retention. 

• Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer to develop compelling, supporter-centred fundraising copy for appeals, donation forms, landing pages, emails, and stewardship content. 

• Coordinate campaign production, from creative briefing to print and fulfilment, working with suppliers, designers, and mailing house partners as needed. 

• Lead on campaign timelines and ensure activity is delivered on time and within budget. 

• Work with colleagues across the charity to gather impactful case studies and project updates for use in donor communications. 

• Manage and maintain campaign collateral such as templates, thank-you letters, and welcome packs, ensuring brand and message consistency. 

Supporter journeys & stewardship 

• Develop and implement supporter journeys for new and existing individual givers, ensuring timely and relevant follow-ups to donations. 

• Identify opportunities to improve retention and upgrade rates through targeted communications and segmentation. 

• Ensure all donor touchpoints (e.g. donation forms, thank-you pages, emails) provide an excellent experience. 

• Collaborate with the Fundraising and Operation teams to ensure donor communications align with wider charity messaging. 

• Support fundraising campaigns with tailored communications for regular givers, lottery players, payroll givers, and one-off donors. 

Data & insight 

• Work with Database & Insights Officer to segment data, analyse results, and inform decision-making. 

• Regularly track and report on KPIs such as response rate, income, ROI, and donor retention. 

• Lead on A/B testing within appeals and digital communications, using results to optimise future campaigns. 

• Maintain accurate supporter data and adhere to GDPR, PECR, and fundraising best practices. 

Collaboration & compliance 

• Act as a liaison between fundraising and marketing to ensure coordinated and effective campaigns. 

• Ensure all fundraising materials follow brand guidelines and ethical fundraising codes. 

• Stay up to date with trends in individual giving and apply learning to test new ideas and improve performance. 

• Where needed, provide cover or collaborative support for Marketing and Communications Officer during periods of annual leave.

About you

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with experience in communications and marketing campaigns to join our small but expanding team. We are looking to extend reach, build our network and develop a stronger online presence across our different project areas.

The role will include the development and execution of a Communications and Marketing Strategy for the organisation.  Alongside the strategic planning of our comms work, the role will also include creating materials and content for campaigns to engage members of the public, potential partners, funders and investors.

As our Communications Manager you will play a leading role in delivering our contribution to the two-year National Lottery funded project ‘Community Energy People’.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing a Communications and Marketing Strategy, to build GUCE's brand, support existing project events, hiring, volunteer opportunities, and initiatives.

• Assisting the Development Officer and PM in communications to stakeholders and the public for projects, using the REGEN guide as the basis.

• Ensuring a steady flow of social media content that supports our projects and campaigns, on various platforms; mainly Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

• Creating and sharing engaging content, including text images and videos that promote GUCE and its key values. This may include attending in-person events on occasion to capture content.

• Ensuring that the social media strategy aligns with GUCE goals and values 

• Being aware of current social media trends and evaluating how GUCE can best participate

• Deliver new potential projects, such as opportunities with Watford industrial units:

  • Work with technical specialists to assess the energy needs of the community, including energy demand, infrastructure, and renewable energy potential (solar, wind, biomass, etc.).

• For new and existing projects:

Netherton Feelgood Factory, a community-based healthy living centre, is offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people and the environment by taking forward the development of the Netherton Community Garden and Green Hub. We are looking for an imaginative and committed person with knowledge of horticulture but also with the people skills to support and help people from the local area.

The Netherton Community Garden started life in 2016 as a vision to develop a piece of waste urban land into a garden that could be enjoyed by the community and that also would produce fresh produce to promote health and awareness of growing skills.

Since then, and thanks latterly to a National Lottery grant, the garden has begun to develop as a Green Community Hub with the aim of enabling local people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.  The garden has a positive impact on the local community by providing a meeting place, a venue for skills training and a place to promote positive mental and physical health.

The Co-ordinator will also work within the Feelgood Factory as a member of the Community team.

Job Purpose:

The co-ordination of the Netherton Community Garden to:

•  promote its movement towards greater financial stability through encouraging income generation
•  train, facilitate and manage volunteers and community groups to deliver projects in the Netherton Community Garden which support the Garden’s overall vision of promoting a greener local community.

In addition the postholder will operate within the Feelgood Factory as a member of the community team, facilitating at least one group aimed at socially isolated people.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Garden and maintenance

• To work closely with the Community Garden Steering Group and the staff of the Feelgood Factory to maintain the Community Garden, leading on overall scheduling for dedicated work and seasonal priorities
• To work closely with the Chief Executive in identifying and implementing moves towards making the Community Garden more financially sustainable.
• To oversee planting and re-planting areas throughout the year on an agreed schedule
• To oversee and undertake general garden maintenance, including weeding, hedge trimming, strimming and leaf blowing
• To ensure that tools are in good working order and deal with any defects immediately

Garden project facilitation

• To work with the Steering Group to develop the practical concept of the Community Garden and work with the local community to attract people into it.
• To lead on the development and subsequent delivery of garden based training and community programmes, within agreed budgets and schedules
• To ensure  that volunteers are trained in the safe use of tools and equipment and supervise this where applicable
•  To work with the Feelgood Factory and other local groups in recruiting local volunteers to be part of the project
• To work with the Steering Group and the Feelgood Factory to coordinate and deliver community growing days and garden-based events
• To work with the Feelgood Factory marketing team and other colleagues to ensure effective communication of the Community Garden

About the Dreamers

The Dreamers is a co-produced project that aims to improve the mental health of young (16-25-year-old) refugees and asylum seekers. The project is delivered through a partnership between Oasis, TGP Cymru and Cardiff and Vale Health Inclusion Service (CAVHIS) along with the young people who are seeking sanctuary or have received refugee status in the UK. The partnership project is hosted by Oasis and funded by the National Lottery.

Who We Are

Oasis is a community space in the heart of Cardiff, which gives a warm Welsh welcome to around 2500 people seeking sanctuary (asylum seekers and refugees) per year across South Wales. We empower them to reach their aspirations for themselves and their families by providing; 

• access to the essentials

• education and career pathways

• community integration activities to build relationships at Oasis and in their local communities

• opportunities to influence the services and systems that impact their lives

Main Duties

• Engage with young people to involve them in the project
• Act as a peer contact for young people including through 1 to 1 case work
• Collation of KPIs and outputs for reports
• Orientation visits to external services and locations, welcome workshops and early intervention for new arrivals
• Support colleagues with the delivery of activities at evening youth group once a week and co-produced social media marketing of the project
• Consultation, planning, delivery and evaluation of activities on the project/projects
• Development of partnerships with external organisations
• Moving On After Trauma Psychoeducation Groups
• Advisory Panel meetings (young people governance board for the project)

We are looking for an ambitious and strategic Development Director to shape the future and income streams for our museum & mill . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to build a ground up strategy and lead the development of an ambitious organisation.

Thanks to generous funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The Pilgrim Trust, The Headley Trust, Granada Foundation & Arts Council England, The Silk Heritage Trust is embarking on an ambitious 18-month development programme Strengthening The Future of Macclesfield's Heritage.The Trust is working to establish The Silk Museum and Paradise Mill as a national centre for silk heritage and heritage textile crafts. Strengthening The Future of Macclesfield’s Heritage moves the Trust towards this vision, strengthening fundraising capacity plus staff and board skills, to provide a solid foundation for the future.

The Trust has achieved a great deal over the last 5 years, securing funding from public sources, trusts, and foundations. This newly created role will build on this success and attract substantial support from individuals and corporate sources. It involves working with internal and external stakeholders to raise funds for core funding, projects, and capital campaigns. It is envisaged that the post-holder will work with Trustees and staff to establish a Development sub-group to inform and drive this work. Strategic planning and communications are key to this. This role will drive forward new plans for individual giving, philanthropy and fundraising to significantly rebuild the Trust’s reserves.

Role:

To lead the Trust’s work towards financial resilience through broadening its income streams

To increase voluntary income from funders and philanthropists by 50%, reflating free reserves, through an ambitious Development & Fundraising Strategy

To initiate, lead, and deliver projects to develop and transform the work, premises, and staff of the Silk Museum & Paradise Mill, working with consultancy support to:

· Develop a 3-5 year business plan

· Cost and plan options for tackling the site:

o Limitations to accessibility and visitor welcome

o Constraints to income generation

o significant challenges to building maintenance, environmental sustainability, care, and display of our collections

o rising energy costs

· Secure funding for major conservation, building repairs and organisational development.

To build a new supporter community and membership offer to attract supporters and philanthropists for the Trust’s development plans

To build and lead strong relationships with partners for collaboration, fundraising, and sponsorship

To drive strong working relationships and communication with Museum staff, volunteers, and Trustees, to develop a broad fundraising ethos, including training and mentoring to Trustees and Museum staff

To keep current with fundraising sector developments, approaches, and opportunities

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

Development

· Review and develop the Trust’s Development & Fundraising Strategy, identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities, campaigns, and funding applications in line with this strategy, including:

o Trusts and foundations

o Statutory funders

o Corporate support and partnerships

o a new legacies programme, Supporters, and individual giving programmes

· Maximise income and in-kind support through fundraising activities onsite and online, including events and sponsorship, to engage current supporters and cultivate new relationships.

· Ensure that all fundraising activities are delivered professionally and timely to ensure maximum and meaningful engagement

· Manage the evaluation of fundraising activities and prepare and submit reports to key stakeholders.

· Deliver reporting for statutory funders, ensuring that the museum delivers on its reporting requirements in a timely manner.

General responsibilities and duties

· Oversee the work of the Programming Team (Senior Curator, Paradise Mill; Museum Curator; Community Engagement Programmer) in delivering, evaluating, and reporting on existing funded programmes, including Arts Council CIP, Pilgrim Trust, Granada Foundation, Foyle Foundation, and Macclesfield Town Council.

· Contribute to the success and culture of The Silk Heritage Trust

· Interact and cooperate proactively with all employees, trustees, and volunteers, ensuring good teamwork.

· Manage performance of staff, volunteers, and researchers as appropriate and in line with the Trust’s performance management processes.

The role

We’re looking for an experienced and values-driven Senior Fundraising Manager to help us grow and diversify our income in support of CSE’s mission.

This is a strategic and hands-on role that will see you lead charitable fundraising activity across trusts and foundations, individual giving and corporate partnerships. You will work closely with the Director of Development & External Affairs to set and deliver ambitious but realistic income targets and identify opportunities that align with our goals.

You will support the development of high-quality, compelling funding proposals in collaboration with our delivery teams. You will also contribute to organisational strategy, refine internal systems and processes, and provide leadership to other development team members.

You are a creative and collaborative fundraiser with a strong track record of securing funding and developing projects with social impact. You are comfortable taking ownership, spotting opportunities, and communicating persuasively with funders, colleagues and partners.

You bring strategic thinking, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You enjoy working across teams and disciplines and are committed to building relationships and growing impact.

You will bring:

• Demonstrable experience of securing significant funding from charitable trusts and foundations.
• A broad range of fundraising experience across corporate, statutory and individual giving.
• Experience of writing compelling proposals, tenders and expressions of interest.
• Knowledge of fundraising compliance and best practice, including data protection (GDPR).

Purpose of the role:

The primary focus of the Data Officer role is data quality. Data Officers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Helpline data through a data cleaning regime, maintaining adherence to published data standards. Data Officers will also work with Helpline Advisors to address common data errors and improve quality at point of entry. Additionally, data Officers will be involved in analysis of data for periodic statistical publications as well as ad-hoc requests and bespoke reports. Data officers will also contribute to the ongoing improvements of the Helpline’s data model and Salesforce instance.

Key responsibilities:

1. Complete data cleaning for Helpline cases in line with Helpline data standards

2. Support management to formalise data standards and contribute ideas to streamline or update the data model to ensure capture of relevant data

3. Utilise Salesforce reporting and Excel tools to extract and analyse data for statistical reports

4. Support the Data Manager to implement data model changes and basic Salesforce changes such as creating and updating fields and objects, implementing validation rules, and updating page layouts
