We know from research that patients who live in areas of social deprivation and financial hardship have some significant health and non-healthcare care needs relating to their cancer experience but also, they find it difficult to access conventional cancer treatment and support services.

Our vision is to address the health inequalities in our area and improve access to holistic cancer support by bringing the services to an area where people can access. Working at our Big Purple Bus locations, you will be seeing clients face to face and also providing telephone and digital support.

Main purpose of post

• Act as first point of contact on the Big Purple Bus for any requests for information and support from the public or professionals (drop-in, appointment, phone, email), triaging more complex requests appropriately. 

• Manage professional and self-referrals to the service and triage appropriately, including to internal colleagues and services and partner agencies, ensuring people referred receive timely and coordinated information and support.

• Meet with people on the Big Purple Bus predominantly to provide face to face support when accessing the service (patients/clients, carers, relatives, professionals), providing high quality information and support within defined level of competence in relation to cancer.  This will include assessment of service users’ information and support needs (Holistic Needs Assessment/Cancer Care Review), provision of written or verbal information, supportive listening and action planning to facilitate self-management. 

• Act as a single point of contact for any on-going Big Purple Bus support services liaising with the individual being supported and any professionals and agencies involved in their care. 

• Work proactivity with primary and secondary care and voluntary sector partners to promote Weston Park Cancer Charity and build awareness of the support available for people living with and beyond cancer.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join a growing and dynamic team that provides excellence in supporting people living with and beyond cancer and their families.  The post has been created to support the expansion of cancer support services.Applications are welcome from health, social care and voluntary sector professionals with experience of personalised care and understanding of the wider determinants of health, including, social, economic and environmental factors. 

The postholder will be part of a team which provides a ‘Single Point of Contact’ for people living with and beyond Cancer and professionals such as clinical nurse specialist, GPs, social workers and voluntary sector partners, in Sheffield and surrounding areas.  They will manage referrals to the Big Purple Bus service and triage appropriately including to internal colleagues and services and partner agencies, ensuring people referred receive timely and coordinated, information and support. 

The postholder will provide personalised information and support about cancer and cancer services, within their level of competence, which will enable people to navigate the health and social care system and make choices that are best for them.  The post holder will employ a What Matters to You? approach, using Holistic Needs Assessments and Cancer Care Reviews to support collaborative and person-centred practice.

The postholder will be expected to take an active role in contributing towards the development and implementation of Big Purple Bus support services, have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a wider team, adhering to excellence in service delivery and customer service. 

We are looking for someone with a highly organised and flexible approach to work.  You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to the needs of the people we support.

Posts will have a primary base at the Big Purple Bus but with some occasional working from one of our other locations (Cancer Support Centre & Charity Hub) dependent on service need.

What you do:

Delivery of Information and Support to people living with and beyond cancer and their families. 

The post holder will: 

• Act as first point of contact on the Big Purple Bus for any requests for information and support from the public or professionals (drop-in, appointment, phone, email), triaging more complex requests appropriately. 

• Manage referrals to the Big Purple Bus service and triage appropriately, including to internal colleagues and services and partner agencies, ensuring people referred receive timely and coordinated, information and support.

• Act as single point of contact for any on-going support services liaising with the individual being supported and any professionals and agencies involved in their care. 

• Provide information and support within level of competence of the post (Macmillan Levels of Intervention Criteria L1,2, and L3 under supervision; NICE approved four tier model of psychological support Level 1).

This will include: 

• Assess the needs of individuals attending / contacting the Big Purple Bus service and identify the required level of intervention. 

• Support users sensitively to help them understand basic clinical information they have been given (e.g. around diagnosis, treatment, effects of the illness and treatment, cancer terminology), helping to resolve situations where users feel they have been given conflicting information. This will include addressing concerns and queries and working to resolve them and the ability to recognise and work within the limits of own competence and responsibility is crucial, referring issues beyond these limits to relevant people.

• Provide basic supporting information around topics such as reducing the risk of cancer, cancer screening, healthy living, the impact of cancer, in the most appropriate format (e.g. written, verbal, and others as appropriate to overcome any barriers to communication). 

• Provide information on topics such as e.g. benefits, travel insurance, and facilitate access to services e.g. specialist benefits advice, complementary therapy. 

• Liaise with relevant staff at all levels as appropriate both within the charity and externally to address issues identified, and seek advice with more complex issues, directly involving others where necessary, e.g. Cancer Information and Support Advisor or Senior Advisor; Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS).

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective relationships with partner organisations in primary and secondary and voluntary the sector via networking, also giving talks and presenting at relevant groups.

• Deliver awareness raising activity to promote the service. 

Operational delivery 

The post holder will: 

• Collect and collate data regarding contacts with the service users in person and produce reports of activity as required. 

• Contribute to events and displays externally liaising with departments and agencies as required. 

• Provide general administrative support to the Health Care Professionals and Outreach Service Manager [FM1] [PM2] 

• Work flexibly in order to deliver the objectives of the cancer support service, including attending events and outreach sessions across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Bassetlaw.

• Assist in the development of leaflets, posters and other materials, e.g. To publicise the service, recruit volunteers, support cancer awareness and other events.

• Facilitate open and effective communication with multi-professional teams, both internally and externally. 

Management & Leadership 

The post holder will: 

• Seek advice and support from senior colleagues on clinical matters.

• Adhere to policies and protocols relevant to the post, contributing to their updating and development as appropriate.

• Adhere to systems and processes to promote a healthy, safe and secure working environment and maintain accurate documentation and report any concerns. 

• Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the service, identifying areas for change / improvement and suggesting new approaches and implementing changes in practice identified through other routes e.g. annual service review or user feedback.

Role purpose

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

Twining Enterprise supports people across North & West London with mental health challenges to find and sustain work, using the internationally recognized Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach.

We are now looking to recruit a number of professional and self-motivated Employment Specialists to join our dynamic and high performing teams in Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Hammersmith & Fulham and Haringey.  You will provide an employment support service to help people with mental health conditions gain and sustain paid employment.

JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.

8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.

9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.

10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.

11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).

JOB PURPOSE

The Head of Finance will lead a small, established finance team and will need to drive a successful business partnership approach with teams across the organisation, achieving greater efficiency both in ways of working and in purchasing and in investigating how our systems and technology can best meet our operational needs. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a diverse role across the full spectrum of the finance function, with the post holder responsible for the timely provision of management information as well as leading the Finance Team in delivering a full financial accounting and statutory reporting service to ensure UK for UNHCR is compliant with all financial regulation. Central to the role is the critical review and the effective communication of financial information and its implications to all levels of management while also delivering a high quality, customer focused finance partnering service to senior managers and SMT. 

Key accountabilities:

• Oversee the provision of clear, accurate, timely and user friendly (financial and non-financial) management information to Directors, senior managers and staff to support the decision-making process and to allow managers to proactively manage their budgets.
• Take full management responsibility for the Finance Manager and Finance and Administration Assistant, leading, motivating and developing them so that that they are clearly focused, competent, and work effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, Gift Aid, VAT, Charity Commission and other statutory financial returns for the charity and its trading subsidiary as appropriate. 
• Manage the annual audit process, being the point of contact for external auditors on operational matters relating to the audit process and providing information and documentation supporting the annual report and accounts.
• Develop and maintain various business and financial planning processes in support of the strategic needs of the organisation. This includes:

1. Annual budgeting process.
2. Overseeing financial reforecasts at regular (currently quarterly) intervals.
3. Playing an active role in the broader business planning process.
4. Planning and managing cash flows to meet the short and long-term needs of the organisation, maximising interest receivable where opportunities allow. 

• Drive financial ownership, accountability and understanding across the organisation by ensuring budget owners have the knowledge, skills and tools to manage their budgets effectively. Ensure effective financial business partnering is underpinned by effective processes and guidance.
• Provide support to all teams and in particular the fundraising teams in the completion of funding applications and, following successful bids, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to monitor and report progress of Restricted Funding projects.
• Recommend an appropriate reporting process and format for restricted projects to enable their effective management by budget holders and for inclusion in management accounts reporting.
• Ensure the internal financial control environment is adequate to safeguard the Charity’s assets and is properly documented, and liaise as needed with external professional advisors, such as auditors and our bankers.
• Ensure premises and facilities are managed appropriately on a day-to-day basis, line managing the Finance and Administration Assistant, and taking the lead in matters relating to property leases.
• Develop own knowledge base and keep abreast of changes in the regulatory and financial environment, as well as new initiatives and best practice in the sector to ensure the charity’s policies and processes are fit for purpose and adapt as UK for UNHCR evolves. 
• Support the Senior Management Team in other work as may be required from time to time and, as time allows, engage in the broader work of the charity to ensure the post holder has a recognisable profile as the leader of a key team and has an understanding of the work we do.

Knowledge: 

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with significant post qualification finance experience at a senior level.

The role

The Customer Support Executive role is responsible for assisting both internal and external stakeholders through out every action taken. About the role

Sightsavers Zambia office is currently seeking two Programme Assistants to support the Neglected Tropical Diseases Elimination project funded by Helmsley. The project aims to support the implementation of interventions under the Ministry of Health's National Trachoma Elimination Programme.

The Programme Assistants will be responsible for managing daily activities and supporting the delivery of the project with key stakeholders at local and national levels. The Programme Assistants will be an important point of contact for the project within the region.

Programme Assistants duties include:

• Working closely with the Project Manager in the implementation and monitoring of the full geographical coverage approach for Trichiasis case management.
• Supporting the planning and implementation of trachoma surveys.
• Supporting the identification of WASH needs and implementation of the facial cleanliness and environmental improvement component of the project.

Sightsavers team Zambia have a great opportunity for a Project Assistant Economic Empowerment to join their team. The role supports delivery of a first-class project through planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and adaptation of the highest possible quality standards. Principal Accountabilities

• Advocating Sightsavers to partners regarding the current initiatives underway with whom we can work to achieve the project and organisations strategic objectives to give people with disabilities equal rights and opportunities.
• Managing the full project life-cycle with partners from to closeout
• Liasing with the Global Technical Leads (Disability Inclusive Economic Empowerment) and other internal stakeholders.
• Supporting the coordination and implementation of project activities and sharing of lessons learned.
• Supporting the review of reporting timelines for both donors and country office
• Facilitating meetings with partners to advocate and disseminate shared learnings
• Support project partners with budgets, forecasts, timely financial returns
• Support Ethics and data protection through protocol development for approval by appropriate approval boards as required
• Proactively share relevant case studies, interesting news stories, participate in advocacy work

Knowledge, skills and experience

• A qualification/tertiary degree or above in social sciences, education, development studies or public health
• Demonstrable experience with labour market issues including labour market assessments, skills training/development, internships, employer engagement, disability inclusion, job placements and job fairs
• Familiarity with national legislation and policies in the field of disability, human rights
• An understanding of and commitment to the realization of the rights of people with disabilities
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Strong communication and time management
• Previous experience working with budgets, forecasts and reports both internally and with partners
• Strong IT with knowledge of global ICT systems desirable
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Current and ongoing right to work in Zambia

Role Requirements

• Support planning and changes in the administration of children and young people’s timetable for children and family services.
• Support with photocopying of notes for subject access/ solicitor requests (SARS).
• Manage the SARS and redacting process with appropriate members of the Therapies teams.
• Update logs and coordinate the Clinical and Safeguarding Supervision across the Therapies teams, escalating non-compliance where required.
• Monitor mandatory training compliance and administer booking processes for all relevant training sessions/course.
• Coordinating specialist clinics, including spine and hip clinics; liaising with the Physiotherapy team to ensure the correct children are on the schedule. Liaison with external Consultants to organise the clinic lists.
• Carry out audiotyping of clinic letters and distribute as required.
• Update absences within the teams onto the SMI (staff care) system, as requested by the Heads of Service.
• Place orders for any required equipment and/or resources for departments and for the children and young people as deemed necessary.
• Take overview of clinical asset ordering, linking with the clinical assets team and management system, in line with MHRA guidelines and the medical devices policy.
• Track and monitor equipment orders with Heads of service, escalate delays and provide a central overview for all equipment re-charges and ordering.
• Raise and receipt PO’s and invoices for the therapies directorate and liaise closely with the finance team.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.

In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network. Joining a small national team, the Business Partnerships Manager for London will support the London and national Tempo team to expand and deepen the networks of community, public and private sector programmes and to develop new opportunities and partnerships in London.

Key responsibilities:

• Regional Recognition Network Development: You will develop regional recognition opportunities with potential partners, attract a diverse range of regional partners aligned with Tempo funders' objectives, and ensure network variety meets programme and beneficiary needs.
• Lead Generation: You will promote Tempo's work through events and communications, identify and approach new business leads, attend events, present, and network, and coordinate business development enquiries and attend and pitch Time Credits in meetings.
• Management of the London Recognition Network: You will ensure the effective management of the Network, including partner communications and regular network audits, provide leadership for recognition communications, such as newsletters, marketing materials, and social media, contribute to reporting and provide data and evidence, and manage existing partner relationships.
• Support Network Sustainability and Development: You will facilitate local events, trips, and networking meetings, and support innovation, learning, and development across the network.

The Business Partnerships Manager will need to be innovative with ideas and approaches to grow and maintain partnerships. The successful candidate will need to be a good listener and people person as partnerships will be driven by the needs of the volunteers and community members and will have a genuine passion for supporting the development of individuals and organisations. You will be a natural team player to work alongside team members to deliver training and network events and will have excellent and adaptable communication skills. You will have strong reporting and analytical skills to support Tempo to demonstrate their impact within communities.
