As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.
You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. You will continually be looking to increase our impact by working towards targets of increased meals served to our guests, expanding our existing Projects and setting up new ones within Yorkshire and The Humber.
As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.
You will have experience of programme planning, delivery and development including community led/owned programmes. You will also have experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including other charities, local authorities, funders and local champions. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

You are an experienced peacebuilder and manager of people and programmes, and have worked previously in Sudan. You have proven ability in designing and adapting programmes, keeping them relevant and accountable in complex local contexts, ideally in Darfur.
Concordis has worked in Sudan and South Sudan since we were formed as an organisation in 2004. The devastation caused by the current war is heart-breaking, but it also reminds us of the vital importance of peacebuilding.
Concordis continues to implement directly in South Darfur, with a team of eight national staff who remain in Darfur and three more working from outside the country. The team consulted over 3,500 people before the war began and identified a network of 103 local peacebuilders across South Darfur. We work alongside national partner Malam Darfur Peace and Development, and support local peacebuilders where conflict is fought and felt. You’ll take on leadership of the team 18 months into the current EU grant.
You also have a track record of engaging effectively and proactively with international donors, sharing analysis, communicating the vision and winning funds. You’ll use those skills as you adapt the current programme to meet entry points for peacebuilding, as you work with the team and local partners in designing the next steps, and as you work collaboratively with donors in keeping them on board.
Despite the evident challenges, we see opportunities and an urgent need to support local peacebuilders in managing South Darfur’s myriad local conflicts, to prevent them escalating or from becoming instrumentalised in the war. There are also emerging opportunities to expand on this programme elsewhere in Darfur, and with Darfuri herders displaced into South Sudan and beyond.
This will require visionary leadership and the skill and drive to navigate a way forward in the coming months and years. Concordis’ peacebuilding programme in South Darfur is primarily about promoting peaceful coexistence amongst and between pastoralist groups and the settled population. This mirrors our existing work over the border in Central African Republic, where we engage with some of the same pastoralists during the dry season, and complements our ongoing work along the border of Sudan and South Sudan, including in Abyei.
This work can demand a lot from all of us, and we have high expectations for the person in this post, but they’ll be part of a supportive team, leading an exciting programme, helping to make a measurable change for peace.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for an External Affairs Manager role. The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. Could you be our new External Affairs Manager, working closely with our housing association members across the South of England?
You may already have a strong understanding of housing, but more importantly, you will be a skilled relationship manager, with fantastic communication and influencing skills. You will be confident working at the most senior level, including with housing associations’ chief executives, board members and directors.
In this role, you will be the NHF’s relationship manager for a defined cohort of housing associations within our membership, supporting them, enabling collaboration and innovation across the sector and championing the role of housing associations with stakeholders. You will also lead our member engagement on key sector issues nationally making sure that our wider policy, lobbying and campaigns work reflects our members’ priorities and our members are at the heart of everything the NHF does.

Key elements of the role:
- To be the key interface for the NHF with our members ensuring high levels of member satisfaction and retention. You will be responsible for developing brilliant relationships with housing associations leaders, using your well-developed communication and advocacy skills to maximum effect.
- You will use your knowledge, insight and understanding of housing associations to shape our policy and influencing work and to create structured programmes of member engagement on critical policy issues, which support our members to deliver their social purpose.
- Reflecting the NHF’s important regional structure, you will be key contact point for most members in your region, ensuring they receive first class customer service on the issues which matter to them. You will work closely with the regional chair and facilitate the organisation of the attached regional chief executive or leaders forums and sounding boards. - In addition to your account management responsibilities, you will work strategically with colleagues in a collegiate and collaborative way to manage and deliver a programme of member engagement on a key NHF policy priority, working with members across every region and specialism. In this role, you will lead the creation of structured member engagement bringing together those members to influence policy, engage key stakeholders and share best practice.
- Your role will be to implement structured member engagement to ensure our policy priorities, positions and influencing work are member-led. This will include working directly with members to inform our policy positions and lead our influencing work.
- You will influence debates at the highest level and you will spot in advance and act to mitigate the risk. As such, this role requires a high degree of political and organisational nous.
- Whilst understanding and recognising that member retention is our primary business risk, you will be alive to wider partnership possibilities and will work with colleagues in our Commercial and Events teams to maximise commercial opportunities.

Main Purpose of Post
This role manages organisational marketing and supports income generation. The main purpose of the post is to create marketing strategies and marketing communications to promote Women’s Aid’s products and services to its target audiences. Summary of Terms and Conditions of Employment
Terms of appointment: Confirmation of appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period. This will normally be of six months (less for short term contracts). During this time an employee will be expected to establish their suitability for the post. During the probationary period employment may be terminated in writing, giving one week's notice by either party (this may be waived by mutual agreement). Only any statutory dismissal procedure will apply during the probationary period. There is no probationary period for contracts of under 3 months.
All posts are subject to a DBS check, two suitable references and right to work checks.
Salary: £42,750 pro rata + benefits. Salary is paid in arrears through bank credit by the 25th of each month. Part time staff receive pro-rata payment based on hours worked.
Working hours: The standard working hours for this post are 37hours per week, based in London/Bristol/Remote UK based; benefits include a generous bank holidays and annual leave package and contributory pension scheme. All posts, including remote posts must be based in the UK.
Support and supervision: Women’s Aid has a commitment to providing regular supervision and support to staff with annual appraisals forming a key part of staff development. We have a training policy in place and encourage staff to take an active role in their career development plan.
Pension: Women’s Aid is enrolled with the People’s Pension scheme. Women’s Aid normally contributes 7% of salary and the employee contributes 3% towards the group pension scheme. Eligible staff will be automatically enrolled on the scheme when they have successfully completed the 3-month interim probationary review.
Annual Leave: Women’s Aid offers an annual leave entitlement of 28 days per year rising by one day per year until 30 days annual leave per year is reached. In addition, we offer 8 days public holidays plus 2 additional days in March and August. Plus, three days of ‘end of year’ leave, bridging the gap between the festive holiday period and new year to allow colleagues to rest and recharge during this unique quiet time. Role Summary
This role is crucial in driving forward support for, engagement with and coordination of high-quality and high-impact multi day work experiences for high-need young people across the UK. Experts in the coordination and delivery of multi-day work experiences.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic purpose:
- Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of opportunities from initial programme scoping with non-income generating employers to securing commitments, monitoring young person applications, programme design and implementation, and employer follow up.

About the role

The Foundations team sits within the Global Partnerships team, made up of Foundations, Philanthropy, and Corporate partnerships. National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is an award-winning charity with a mission to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ NUM provides a mechanism for sex industry workers to report crimes and harm they experience and share this information within their communities to warn others of potentially dangerous individuals and situations.
We have a dedicated casework team of industry experts who support sex workers to further access criminal justice remedies and other services as determined by victims/survivors to cope and recover from crimes they experience in the ways they choose. We also host a range of other projects in racial justice, mental health, drop-in support (Scotland), and vocational exploration.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The casework team is at the heart of NUM. We provide vital support from assistance through the criminal justice journey to essential emergency financial support. We are looking for a coordinator to lead our casework team. If you are driven, have a keen eye for detail, can effectively motivate others in a demanding and emotive area of work with the ability to support people in an empathetic and trauma informed way then this could be the role for you.
This role will specifically focus on the day-to-day running of the casework team alongside carrying your own caseload. The work involves utilising and monitoring our digital platform and CMS maintaining and monitoring the documentation of cases and coordinating responses to ensure sex workers received the high standard of support they deserve, to prevent and recover from violence as well as seek justice and recourse. The Victim Support Casework Coordinator is responsible for maintaining high standards for all digital, individualised and in-person support provided by the case work team. All responsibilities can be grouped under five umbrella categories. The successful candidate will evidence suitability for the role based on the strength areas below:
1) Management: Manage the operations and administration associated with victim and vocational support case work.
2) Leadership: Lead and motivate the team of national case workers towards service excellence. The best leaders can also be led. The successful candidate will value the lived and learned experiences on the case work team and ensure that everyone works to their strengths, and strives for the best outcomes for sex workers.
3) High Standards: Support good performance and quality outcomes for sex workers.
4) Creative and Innovative: Ability to strategise and problem-solve. Sex workers experience forms of violence before and after accessing support. At NUM, our principle of 'Sex Workers First' means that we work with them to achieve the outcomes that they desire. Sex workers are in control of their healing and recovery, and it will be the successful candidate's job to ensure that lives are improved as a result of contact with NUM.
5) Wellbeing Focused: Provide care for the health, safety and welfare of the case work team and the sex workers we serve.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced manager who can demonstrate the ability, passion and determination to lead all aspects of an effective and innovative service that can transform the lives of adult fraud victims. You will set up and deliver a fraud peer support pilot project across Kent, Sussex and South London.
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- the recruitment, management, supervision and development of the fraud caseworker team
- overseeing the delivery of individual, tailored support for victims of fraud
- the development and delivery of innovative online and in-person peer support work
- ensuring we provide high quality support services that meet the needs of victims of fraud
- working in close partnership with police, local authorities and other key stakeholders
- ensuring the voices and experiences of victims are heard in and beyond the criminal justice system
On occasion you may also be involved in bid writing and fund raising activity, and with print and broadcast media. The areas for delivery of the pilot are South London, Kent and Sussex and the post-holder will need to reside in one of these, and will be able to travel across the three areas

The Society was developed out of the successful Wellbeing Service set up by Birmingham City Council in June 2015, it is a public service mutual. It has a track record of innovation, collaboration, citizen engagement and successful delivery, within the Council, and by going independent in 2018, The Active Wellbeing Society was able to build on this foundation and unlock new sources of funding to support its further growth and development.
Key outcomes for this role:
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop and secure a national approach to free bikes for those in the most need.
- Develop new cycling business across the UK related to the provision of free bikes- including consultancy, advice and support, as well as creating opportunities to expand the delivery of new community cycling schemes in low-income communities.
- Support the implementation of place based expansion and share the opportunities within the free bikes work as part of helping to build Uniting the Movement.
- Secure new national, regional, and local investment to scale up the free bikes movement across England.
- Amplify the positive outcomes of the free bikes cycling work done to date to partners and key stakeholders/influencers.
MAIN DUTIES
- Work with key partners including Active Essex, Ealing Borough Council, and Sport England to understand, explain and amplify the benefits and key positive outcomes of the free bikes work done to date. Locate this within opportunities around place based expansion.
- Develop and oversee a clear comms and marketing strategy for the free bikes work to include stakeholder mapping and a clear understanding of audiences and the bespoke comms and marketing needed for each audience. Ensure that funders and influencers are aware of the scheme and its benefits.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues (both internally and externally) to collate and amplify the positive stories from the current free bikes provision and evaluation, building a case for the continued investment of this way of working.
- Collaborate with key partners in the roll out of place based working expansion relating to lessons learnt from the free bikes work, including support and delivery for new areas as they come on board in the expansion timetable.
- Secure further free bikes schemes across the country, in conjunction with key partners.
- Work closely with Department for Transport and ATE to ensure that they are fully aware of and are capitalising on the benefits of the free bikes work.
- Work with the cycling sector to develop a wider free bikes offer that could include wrap around bike equipment and support (cycling groups etc).
- Meet regularly with projects on the ground to identify and amplify excellence in delivery. Support the creation of a free bikes community.
- Work with the funding and development team to ensure all collateral and knowledge is developed and recorded.
- Manage budgets and resources in line with The Active Wellbeing Society corporate policies and expectations
- Responsible for line management of staff.
- Create a community of best practice enabling a full development cycle across free bikes programmes.

- Work with local youth services and young people service providers to review their current digital (and in-person) services, identify gaps and to create a plan to develop digital youth work opportunities to fill the identified gaps.
- Attend national events and complete NYA training to enhance your skills and knowledge, supporting you on your own journeys to adulthood.

This role is a key part of our small but dynamic fundraising team. Person Specification
We are seeking an experiences and hard working individual who can play a significant role in meeting our growing targets. You will be able to hit the ground running; taking ownership of our many existing partnerships whilst using your initiative to develop and deliver new ones. You will be able to write persuasive and clear fundraising proposals and be comfortable with having a mixed portfolio and happy with being flexible.
You will ideally be based at our inaugural farm and HQ in Box, Wiltshire, based in stunning countryside but only 7 miles from Bath and 26 miles from Bristol. However, we would consider you being based at one of our other farms in Lewes, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire or Yorkshire, so long as you are prepaered to travel regularly to Bath.
The postholder will be a strong written and verbal communic\ator who is able to influence, motivate and inspire people to support Jamie's Farm. You will love working with different people and be proficiaent in networking and building and maintaining strong relationships. You will have proven ability to work to a high standard with an eye for detail, working to deadlines and managing multiple accounts simultaneously. You will have excellent organisation and management skills, be proactive, hardworking and comfortable working as part of a team or independently. Demonstrating our values will come easily for you - exuding qualities such as passion and professionalism in your daily interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Finally, you will have the enthusiasm to support a small-medium-sized charity to develop our fundraising, with an interest and empathy in the benefits of education beyond the classroom, epseically for vulnerable groups, and being in a rural setting.
