About the Role

The Cybersecurity Officer will support the Cybersecurity Manager in protecting the charity’s digital assets and ensuring compliance with internal security policies and relevant international standards. This role will assist in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity controls across our technology environment, and is ideal for someone early in their cybersecurity career with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to meaningful humanitarian work.

About You

Candidate should have a Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience) with Up to 2 years of experience in an IT or cybersecurity role (internships or volunteer roles considered).  Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and technologies, including antivirus, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control. Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 security stack, including Defender and Intune.  Hands-on experience with any of the following: Ubiquiti, SharePoint, Egress, or Cloudflare.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and controls (e.g., 
endpoint protection, firewalls, secure email gateways, MFA, etc.).
• Monitor security alerts and reports from tools like Microsoft Defender, Bitdefender, 
WatchGuard, and Cloudflare, escalating potential incidents to the Cybersecurity 
Manager.
• Support user access management and ensure policies for identity and access control 
are followed using systems like SSO and Intune.
• Help manage and track security awareness initiatives (e.g., phishing simulations via 
SoSafe).
• Assist in vulnerability scanning and basic risk assessments across networks and 
systems.
• Contribute to incident response efforts under the guidance of the Cybersecurity 
Manager.
• Document findings, maintain logs, and support audit and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with IT and wider organisation to ensure security controls do not hinder 
mission delivery.
• Participate in routine system checks and contribute to the improvement of 
cybersecurity procedures and documentation.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

Experience & Certifications/Qualifications:

Emmaus UK is looking for a new Regional Communications Officer to directly support Emmaus communities in the North East and Yorkshire.

About the role

Our team of Regional Communications Officers support Emmaus communities and groups to increase their profile and engage supporters. You will work closely with up to four Emmaus charities to identify their communications needs, plan and deliver work to help achieve their goals.

You will have excellent skills and knowledge in communications, public relations and marketing with at least two years’ experience working in a busy and varied communications role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Within this hybrid role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. This role will suit someone located in Yorkshire or the North East as regular travel (usually at least one community visit per week) will be required to South Shields, Leeds and Hull.

Role Purpose

This role is focused on maximising comms-based engagement across the GDI Hub’s portfolio, supporting GDI Hub’s growing outreach and impact.

The post holder will work closely across GDI Hub comms team to support communications delivery across the organisational portfolio – with a focus on key regular outputs, creative content, websites, reactive queries and organisational communications. This role will involve both administrative tasks, and creative content generation, at an anticipated volume of 50% per area.

The post holder will also provide key communications and engagement support for the Disabled Leaders Network. Run by the GDI Hub, the Disabled Leaders Network is a member led, dynamic group of emerging global talent. Communications support includes digital events, managing social media and the network channels, and regular newsletters.

Across all elements of the role, the successful candidate will need to work collaboratively and dynamically. Responsibilities will include creative content generation, design, copy writing, film/photography, newsletters - alongside more administration and operational activities such as enquiry response, proof reading, and website updates.  This role will work closely alongside members of the GDI Hub team, with some interactions with external partners, collaborators and stakeholders. This role will also support with event delivery – digital and in person.

We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative, communications and digital skills, including experience with social media and design. The Role

The Social Value Specialist will support SNG to embed impact measurement and social value into teams across the organisation, providing a central, efficient point of contact that leads on developing systems, processes and continuous service improvement.

You will engage with supply chain partners to ensure the delivery of social value in contracts and enable seamless customer service using digital platforms and relationships with community partners.

Connect with team members across the organisation to deliver impact reports and support in creating our annual ESG report.

The Social Value Specialist will report to the Social Value Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement a community investment evaluation and monitoring framework, in direct alignment with the community foundation strategy and strategy and the corporate plan
• Work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary community investment directorate and with other internal teams in the customer directorate across localities to embed a framework for social impact and outcomes recording
• Support the Social Value Manager to provide regular social impact and environmental social, governance (ESG) reporting to the communities' leadership team and to senior management and board when required
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation methods and processes for Community Foundation projects and roll out good practice to colleagues and external partners so we can effectively demonstrate our Social Impact
• Lead and support internal teams and external partners in the upload of data such as KPIs onto impact measurement platform for the business, ensuring that information is accurate and easily accessible when required
• Demonstrate strong project management skills to lead and oversee project teams across SNG and with external partners that will bring in external funding
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies as required by the Head of Service and managers

Salary: £29,269 for a role based in our National Office in London or £25,134 for a home-based role outside of the London travel to work area

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be part of the small network engagement team, working alongside the volunteering and participation team, in the Communities and Participation directorate.

You’ll assist with supporting, championing and enabling effective collaboration with the network of county-based local CPRE charities across England.

This role has a communications focus and involves editing a weekly email newsletter and an intranet. You’ll be the first point of contact for local CPRE staff and volunteers with queries about the work of their local charities. You’ll organise and support online meetings and events and be involved with measuring and reporting the effectiveness of our work.

The Communities and Participation team is mainly home-based, so applications are encouraged from remote workers with the expectation of travel to meetings and events approximately twice a month, for which expenses are covered.

Full training will be given in all aspects of this role, along with ongoing support and opportunities for development.

The Richmond Group has delivered a programme of work, funded by Sport England, including delivery of We Are Undefeatable (WAU), a social marketing campaign, the development of resources for patients and professionals, packs, evaluation of a suite of physical activity projects and a system influencing programme.

We are now entering a new phase of the programme, through extended partnership funding from Sport England, which aims to increase both our system influencing and place-based activity and integrate this work with our WAU campaign. The aim is to drive system change with a focus on reducing physical inactivity levels amongst people with long term conditions, who are twice as likely to be inactive as the general population.

To deliver this work we need a Policy Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the system change we're seeking through impactful influencing activity. This role will:

* Support delivery of our influencing plans nationally and locally with a focus on policy and public affairs activity

* Report to the Senior Influencing Manager

* Work closely across the whole RG Physical Activity Programme team, RG secretariat and our coalition members.

This is a fixed-term contract ending March 2028.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office once per week, on average. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.
