Choice in Hackney is a disabled person’s organisation supporting disabled people with independent living services including advocacy, volunteering and training services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to provide administration support to Choice’s staff and services.
We are looking for someone:
1. To provide efficient administrative support across all CHOICE IN HACKNEY projects and services.
2. To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office, reception and administrative systems.
3. To maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems in accordance with organisational policies and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
4. To provide administrative support to staff, volunteers, and partner organisations.
5. To support monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements for funded projects.

We are looking for an experienced and organised administrator to provide practical support during a busy three-month period.
This varied, hands-on role will help keep our office running smoothly while supporting communications, trustee meetings, our AGM and charity events, including a sponsored charity run.
You will:
- Respond to telephone calls, emails and visitors
- Provide day-to-day administrative and office support
- Organise meetings, prepare papers and take accurate minutes
- Help coordinate our AGM and other events
- Create engaging social media content and simple promotional materials
- Support communications with supporters, partners and families
We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly and highly organised, with experience in administration within a charity or community setting. You will be comfortable managing several priorities, working independently and following tasks through to completion.
Experience of minute-taking, Microsoft Office and creating social media content is essential. Familiarity with Canva would be an advantage.

The Office Administrator will cover the reception and core office administration and be responsible for coordinating bookings and assist with marketing. They will be responsible for greeting visitors to Hinde Street Methodist Church and ensuring that they are warmly welcomed. This crucial and interesting role has the opportunity to be part of a friendly and efficient team in an inclusive and engaging community. Whilst the majority of the work is administrative, there are opportunities to be involved in the digital communications and also in engagement and support of the diverse groups who use the church’s spaces.
