We are working in partnership with Veterans Outreach Support (VOS), a well-known, award-winning, UK registered charity that supports those who have served our nation, in the Armed Forces and Merchant Navy, through the provision of welcoming and relaxed settings where UK veterans and family members can access welfare, wellbeing, and mental health support. VOS’s development has taken them well beyond these elements to a wide-ranging, person-centered one-stop shop that provides direct and holistic support.
VOS is now seeking a Head of Operations, who will directly support the Chief Executive by taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of VOS, working in close cooperation with the Head of Care (Deputy CEO). In addition to managing the Operations Department, as well as overseeing business administration and people issues, the non-clinical, business-related contracts, the post-holder will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance, financial planning (with the VOS Finance Manager), and external relations, with delivery partners and other stakeholders, where they will also have representational duties, acting as lead for CRM implementation Health & Safety, and is the VOS Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

Two Rhythms is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to spearhead their operational and financial success, ensuring the charity's sustainability and growth. This pivotal role involves driving earned income, managing financial health, and expanding the reach of their therapeutic arts programs across South Wales and the UK.
The Business Manager will oversee the operational and financial management of the charity, ensuring the organisation is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with its mission. They will focus on earned income generation and working to increase it in line with the business plan. They will be outward-facing, generating new business with local authorities, care providers, schools, hospitals and hospices. The Business Manager will play a crucial role in managing the charity's financial health, ensuring resources are effectively utilised to support its mission and goals. They will prepare reports for the management team, CEO and Trustees as required and they will liaise with our external accountants, helping to prepare annual accounts and other statutory documents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OPERATIONAL
1. Business and Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across departments.
- Design and implement new processes to monitor trading performance.
- To act a responsible point of contact for managing day-to-day facilities and building issues.
- Management of external contracts relating to facilities and running of the organisation.
- Review environmental considerations of the organisation in-line with the requirements and policies of our funders, landlords and partner organisations.
- Support the administration of session bookings, liaising with finance and management colleagues.
2. Compliance and Governance:
- Working as part of the charity’s Safeguarding team helping to ensure best practice across the charity’s activities and operations. (Appropriate training will be provided)
- Ensure the charity complies with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage risk and protect the charity’s financial reputation and assets.
- Maintain accurate records and policies, working closely with trustees or board members.
FINANCE
3. Financial Management and Planning:
- Prepare and manage budgets in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Monitor and control income and expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
- Develop financial forecasts and plans to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage invoicing, liaising with external clients and contractors with respect to debt management, reviewing and improving booking processes where necessary.
4. Accounting and Reporting:

5. Donor and Grant Management:

The Role
We are currently looking for two Centre Support Assistants to join our Retail, Services and Operations team.
The role will be interesting and varied and will provide support across departments to ensure the centre is able to operate efficiently and effectively 7 days a week. You will undertake administrative tasks to support the delivery of the Active Together Harrogate service and the smooth running of the centre. You will also provide cover across our Donation Centre, Delivery Team, Café and Hornbeam Shop as required.

- Help create a welcoming, professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all donors, customers and supporters.
- Establish good working relationships with all visitors to the centre.
- Show responsibility for personal health and safety and security, and that of others in the conduct of the role.
- Take ownership of all workplace areas ensuring a high standard of presentation, cleanliness and functionality throughout.
- Respond to and report safeguarding concerns in line with Yorkshire Cancer Research safeguarding policy and procedures.

- Follow all policies and procedures to contribute to the smooth running of the Donation Centre.
- Ensure donations are sorted and stored appropriately and in-line with Yorkshire Cancer Research procedures.
- Accompany a member of the team to carry out deliveries and collections of furniture and goods across Yorkshire, to and from shops and customers, including disposal of waste materials.
- Assist in all aspects of running our café at Hornbeam Park, including opening and closing procedures, food production, preparation of hot drinks, till operation and cleaning tasks.
- Assist in all aspects of running our shop at Hornbeam Park, including merchandising, till operation and cleaning/tidying tasks.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- To ideally be educated to GCSE standard including Maths and English.
- To have previous experience in a customer facing role and a high level of commitment to customer care is essential.

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager
Location: Elephant and Castle (around a 7 - 10 minute walk) onsite working, step free access

About the role
We're seeking a Deputy Service Manager to join our Independent Approved Premises (IAP), commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) which works with high risk offenders who have left prison. Penrose Drive is a community setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community if they do not have restrictions on their license. Security is therefore flexible in both design and operation. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners.
You will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements, and will encourage the creation of a psychologically informed environment, which provides person centred support. The role includes:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
- Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
- Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
- Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
