Key responsibilities of the role are:

• Interacting with tenants regarding their accounts, payments, and related queries.

• Undertake the recovery of all rents and other charges due to the Haig Housing, in accordance with the law, best practice and the Trust’s policies and procedures, to maximise the Trust’s income.

• Provide timely and supportive advice to tenants having difficulty paying their rent with the aim of enabling such tenants to sustain their tenancy, this includes making reasonable and informed repayment agreements where arrears exist.

• Process and manage rent adjustments, debt repayments, refunds and decoration allowances.

• Manage all current and former tenants’ rent accounts in accordance with the Trust’s procedures.

• Initiate legal action in relation to rent arrears in accordance with the Trusts procedures ensuring appropriate authorisation has been received in each case.

• Liaise with Local Housing Departments, Department for Work and Pensions and external agencies supporting our tenants.

• Complete monthly arrears reports highlighting cases of concern and discuss with Housing Managers.

• Work with the Housing Managers in preparing court documents and court attendance on occasions.

The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress. The café is weekdays during the evening and at weekends in the afternoon. We provide initial support meetings both face to face and via the telephone, workign with clients to resolve immediate distress, and explore coping mechanisms. We then coproduce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.

RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.

With the main objectives of reducing re-victimisation and reoffending, and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range intervention (individual and group), both in the community and in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high-quality service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at risk;
• Work collaboratively within a multi - agency framework consisting of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and local partnership responses to domestic abuse;
• Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active service through individual safety planning and personal support. 
• Work with victims of domestic abuse at all levels of risk to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.
• Liaise with Social Services and other professional agencies in relation to any child protection/ adult safeguarding risk issues highlighted;
• To ensure that any issues in relation to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults are brought to the immediate attention of the Safeguarding lead (or whoever is relevant).
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and keep abreast of current legislation, best practice and maintain a focus of continuous improvement;
• Work with victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe;

Main Duties:

• Establish timely contact with Victim/ Survivors of domestic abuse perpetrators who are referred to attend a DVPP,
• Carry out assessments with the Victim/ Survivors via telephone contact or community visit, using the Safe Lives DASH risk assessment tool;
• Carry out detailed safety planning with Victim/ Survivors;
• Manage risk by being pro-active with Victim/ Survivors, sharing information with other relevant agencies in a timely way.
• Refer and/or signpost Victim/ Survivors to other services/agencies to meet risk/wellbeing needs;
• Ensure Victim/ Survivors can access a place of safety e.g. refuge, if risk escalates to a dangerous/unsafe level;
• Maintain Victim/ Survivors contact and continuously monitor risk by keeping up with all available information while the perpetrator attends the programme;
• Attendance at Social Services Conferences (if appropriate), Risk Meetings and MARAC, advising on any safety planning for any risk issues highlighted;
• Undertake an end of case review, signposting Victim/ Survivors to external agencies for ongoing support where appropriate;
• To maintain up to date Victim/ Survivors records to ensure data is collated for all work completed.
• To offer 100% of Victim/ Survivors to complete service user feedback;

About the role

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us over raise over £1.4 million each year.

You will be helping ensure memberships are up to date by keeping on top of membership records.  Supporting membership inbox/phone calls: directing and resolving as appropriate.  Mailings for new member welcomes and payments.  Assist on renewal campaign.  Updating CRM and data cleansing.  Adhoc admin support and co-ordination.        

Salary:  £25 – 27k

Reporting to the Director of HR, this is a varied and hands-on role, supporting recruitment, onboarding, staff wellbeing, HR systems, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle. The successful candidate will be an organised, enthusiastic, and people-focused professional who can balance day-to-day HR administration with opportunities to develop resources and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the HR database, ensuring accurate staff data, absence, training, and benefits records.
• Build and maintain a bank of HR resources, policies, and guidance for staff via the intranet/website.
• Support recruitment and onboarding, including advertising, arranging interviews, issuing contracts, and conducting pre-employment checks.
• Support the employee lifecycle, including probation reviews, appraisals, absence management, and leavers.
• Assist with payroll preparation and benefits administration (wellbeing initiatives, health insurance, EAP).
• Help coordinate wellbeing initiatives and staff engagement activities, contributing to a positive and supportive culture.
• Provide day-to-day HR administrative support, acting as the first point of contact for staff queries and escalating where appropriate.
• Contribute to HR projects and process improvements, including exploring the effective use of IT and AI tools to streamline administration.

Finance Officer

The Role

The Finance department provides the complete finance function which includes payroll to the whole organisation overseeing all the 165 services across England and the Isle of Man, addressing all issues and processing payments to meet the demands of staff and external agencies.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the income and credit control functions, whilst ensuring information is accurately processed in a timely manner and made available to users. You will be a confident communicator and comfortable working in a small team environment where priorities can change at short notice. 

Main Responsibilities:

• To raise sales invoices and, capture and recognise all non-invoiced income in the relevant period.
• Carry out account reconciliations relating to Credit Control in the balance sheet and income accounts including analysis of aged debtors.
• To maintain debtors’ database, deal with queries and to undertake the reconciliation of debtors’ accounts.
• To be responsible for the accuracy of postings to the nominal ledger within given deadlines.
• To ensure payments of invoices and all other fees/income are received within the stated period.
• To maintain, and reconcile, the organisations bank accounts,
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and year-to-date returns and monitoring forms to funders, and the annual external audit.
• To organise workload to ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met.
• To maintain good communication between project managers and the management accounts team.
• To ensure that queries are prioritized and responded to within a reasonable timescale.
• Carry out ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
• To maintain filing and other information storage systems to ensure that up to date information is readily available when required on management accounts.
• To adhere to other policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• A qualification in accounting/finance or significant experience working in a finance/accounting role.
• Experience using computerised accounting systems. Knowledge of Sun will be an advantage.
• A good understanding of accounting concepts including their application.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively and decisively to solve problems.
• Demonstrable ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively, both internally within and across teams, and with external partners.
• A high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office, in particular use of Excel to manipulate data.
• Experience of generating management information reports
• Experience in preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including experience on month-end closure.
