The purpose of the Mental Wellbeing Coordinator role is to manage and lead the development and delivery of peer support services via our Grassroot organisation partners in the Mental wellbeing programme addressing health inequalities in the borough of Haringey including managing and supporting our Grassroot organisations to deliver 1-2-1 wellbeing activities a week for their respective communities.

This Mental wellbeing coordinator role is part of the Haringey mental wellbeing programme, which is community based mental wellbeing support service, supporting individuals with moderate mental health problems. This role will also include outreach into the community working alongside the Grassroots organisations to ensure the successful delivery of these weekly wellbeing activities. The Mental Wellbeing Coordinator is to ensure that all services are delivered together in a seamless manner to support service members across the borough.

Some of our current prizes include the EU Social Innovation Competition, the Toyota Mobility Unlimited Challenge and prizes aimed at using tech to reduce social isolation, improving access to justice and giving people control over their financial data in order to access innovative products tailored to them.

Job purpose

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to support all aspects in the delivery of Challenge Works programmes. An enthusiastic team player with a knack for problem solving. Someone who is able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, moving effortlessly from day-to-day management to supporting the team on planning and strategy. The ideal candidate will have some programme assistant experience, including experience of developing, maintaining and revising systems, budget and financial monitoring, relationship management, communications and management of social media channels.

The Role

Programme Coordination

• Work closely with Programme Managers to enable smooth day-to-day programme execution.
• Monitoring of milestones, evaluation and finance to keep check of project budgets and deadlines. Flagging action points to the Programme Manager when necessary.
• Develop, maintain and revise (as necessary) systems that will underpin the delivery of the prizes.
• Carry out procurement activities end-to-end, including development of contracts, legal documents and CRM
• Development of key documents relating to the delivery of the prizes.
• Manage internal and external meetings, including developing agendas and writing minutes.

Stakeholder Management & Teamwork

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the prizes.
• Day-to-day management of external relationships, from stakeholder networks to high-profile individuals and prize entrants.

Communications & Events

• Help support communications activities of various challenge prizes, for example, managing monthly newsletters, social media and updating websites.
• Help create opportunities for public engagement activities.
• Help to create events, workshops and to deliver them to a high standard.
• Work with diverse Nesta departments including financial, legal, and communications.
• Take on ad-hoc projects and tasks to support the team and its prizes as necessary.
• Occasional International travel and out of hours work.

The role

As National Support Coordinator you will provide support to our members living with a rare neuromuscular condition, myasthenia, their families, and carers. You will work alongside three additional National Support Coordinators and a Benefits and Welfare Officer, ensuring our members receive the support they need, via telephone, zoom meetings and email.

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness, as it is a little-unknown condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the illness.

The MARAC Coordinator will coordinate, administer, and manage the operation of the MARAC. One of the main purposes of the role is to bring together agencies to ensure that local systems are truly keeping survivors safe, holding perpetrators to account, and preventing domestic abuse. A key principle of the post is respecting the independence of each agency and ensuring the MARAC’s key principles are survivor’s and children’s safety, offender accountability and giving a clear message that domestic abuse is s crime that will not be tolerated. The post holder will be located in Brent, and will meet MARAC partners in a variety of settings in the community. The post holder will also spend time raising awareness of the service, domestic abuse, and the MARAC in addition to training agencies on the MARAC and inducting new MARAC representatives on the MARAC.

The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. The post holder will also have a good understanding of managing a project.

To be successful as the MARAC Co-ordinator you will need the below experience and skills:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC.

Thorough knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures and legislation

About the role

As Facilities & Governance Coordinator you will act as a first point of contact in our London office, and work in collaboration with the Governance team across their full range of activities, and consult regularly with the rest of the organisation, Trustees and Members. You will be responsible for coordinating meetings and services across the Institute and providing effective and efficient administrative support across the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing a professional and welcoming service to all internal and external visitors to the office.
• Managing all office signage (to include door and reception screens), ensuring these are accurate and up to date at all times.
• Managing diaries for all office meeting rooms, co-ordinating necessary arrangements for internal and external meetings, to ensure efficient and appropriate use of the meeting space available in line with office guidelines.
• Maintaining day-to-day contact with Building Management, reporting any issues as required and overseeing their resolution.
• Providing ongoing day-to-day management of all office suppliers and service contracts, including but not limited to preferred suppliers for facilities maintenance. Ensuring strong relationships are maintained and the performance of all suppliers is to an acceptable level, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Provide administration support for the Governance team including but not limited to making and communicating all necessary travel and accommodations arrangements, preparing meeting packs and dissemination as required and supporting all meeting set-up requirements e.g. technology, room set up and refreshments.
• Acting as the main point of contact for CMYA applicants once in the judging process, coordinating their application from entry through to completion of the interview process, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience is delivered throughout.
• Being a first aider and fire Marshall for the Office.
• Taking day-to-day responsibility for the health and safety procedures for the London office.

You will work closely with Greenwich residents aged 50 years + and other relevant stakeholders to enable a programme of services, events and activities which seek to improve their health and wellbeing. It will target those who are lonely, isolated, and living in disadvantaged parts of the borough.

Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. As the project continues to evolve, there will be an increased focus on Digital Champions placed in local health care settings across the borough. Digital Champions will operate at local community venues including Community Pharmacies, Phlebotomy clinics, and at community events, with a strong focus on NHS App promotion to Bexley residents. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of an exciting, innovative partnership project, working closely with the statutory and voluntary sector partners in taking the scheme into a new phase of development. Key Duties:

• To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.
• To directly manage a pool of Digital Champions under BVSC and lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.
• To develop and implement a communications plan that raises awareness of the Digital Champions Network in Bexley and of the challenges and opportunities digital inclusion presents.
• To explore new opportunities with partners and the sector more broadly in a way that aims to expand the digital champions project and create a more digitally inclusive culture for Bexley residents.
• To organise regular events, training and information sessions for Digital Champions based on needs.
• To collect data and write reports on the project for presentation to partnership committees and health and wellbeing boards.
• To represent Bexley Digital Champions at London-wide and national forums and conferences.
