Pathfinders is a user-led charity run by and for people living with muscle-weakening conditions. We support disabled people and those who employ personal assistants (PAs) through peer support, information, training, and advocacy. We believe in the power of lived experience and centre disabled voices in everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Project Coordinator to lead the delivery of an exciting new learning and development project for individual employers and personal assistants. The project will support people who employ PAs through direct payments and their PAs to develop the knowledge and skills they need through videos, peer-led training, discussion sessions, and case studies.

You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of the project, ensuring activities run smoothly, are well-attended, and meet the needs of learners. You’ll work closely with people with lived experience of employing PAs, guest speakers, partner organisations, and the wider Pathfinders team to deliver high-quality, accessible training and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of the training project, including scheduling and facilitating sessions, managing communications, and tracking progress against objectives.

• Work with Pathfinders staff, guest speakers and people with lived experience to produce a series of bite-sized training videos for PAs and employers.

• Organise and support delivery of:

  • Fortnightly peer-learning sessions for PA employers

  • Monthly case study sessions for PAs

  • Monthly “Train the Trainer” classes for employers

• Engage and support participants, including managing bookings, sending reminders, and providing follow-up information.

• Promote the project in collaboration with our communications team and external partners, including disability charities, PA networks, and local authorities.

• Gather feedback, measure impact and contribute to reporting for the funder.

• Support participants to access additional training opportunities (e.g. SfC resources, the Individual Employer Fund, local training).

• Ensure accessibility and inclusion are embedded in all activities.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously

• Excellent communication and people skills – confident talking to diverse audiences including disabled people, PAs, professionals and partner organisations

• A clear understanding of the challenges and responsibilities of employing personal assistants

• Good digital skills and confidence using online platforms like Zoom, Google Drive, Microsoft Office and social media

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines

• Committed to inclusion, accessibility and user-led values

Desirable:

• Lived experience of employing PAs or supporting someone who does

• Experience creating or coordinating learning content or training sessions

Timeline:

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will lead and support the surveying, maintenance, and refurbishment of a wide variety of buildings and structures across our estate.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver condition surveys, oversee refurbishment programmes, and manage maintenance works on everything from residential lodges and listed bridges to ornamental gates and water features.

You'll advise on defects, prepare technical reports and specifications, and ensure works are delivered to high standards while protecting the integrity of each park’s heritage.

Additionally, you will:

• Administer schedules of condition and dilapidation reports
• Assist with historic building techniques and civil engineering support
• Oversee procurement and delivery of minor works
• Maintain asset records and support conservation reporting

About You

To be considered as a Building Surveyor, you will need:

• Experience in building surveying and inspections
• Experience of planning and listed building practise, the roles of Historic England and local planning authorities
• Knowledge and experience of Building Regulations, in particular Part M, Access and Use of Buildings
• Knowledge of Building Pathology and the ability to use this to make recommendations
• Knowledge of procurement tendering and contract management skills
• The ability to prepare tender documents and tender evaluations
• A professional qualification or be about to obtain RICS/CIOB/APM/AFM

Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.

The Director of Philanthropy will be part of the Executive Team and be responsible for overseeing the successful creation and delivery of a new income generation strategy for the mission of the Lodge.

Focusing on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Corporates, this role will lead the relationship mapping, building, and the fundraising ask. It will convey the unique offering Cumberland Lodge can bring to potential donors and work towards multimillion pound income levels to ensure the growth of the charity's educational programme delivery and activity. This role line manages one staff member and has direct support from the CEO to achieve income generation growth.  A key opportunity is the upcoming 80 th anniversary of the Educational Foundation in 2027.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence extensive high value fundraising experience, with notable examples of successfully securing six and seven-figure gifts from major donors and corporates.

This person will have proven experience of creating and leading successful philanthropy fundraising strategy to achieve income and engagement growth of a multimillion-pound level. They will also be an experienced senior leader and ideally have knowledge of the education, youth, social impact, and social values sectors. They will champion an inclusive culture and align with Cumberland Lodge's mission and values.

Grant Support Executive

£25,000-£27,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus generous benefits

Location – Hybrid working split between the Foundation’s office in London and home.

We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity that delivers outstanding grassroots facilities, more and better places to play, transforming lives and communities where it is needed most. 

To help us with this important mission, we currently have vacancies for Grant Support Executives. Our Grant Support Executives form part of a pro-active, centralised function who support each other and work together to deliver the greatest impact wherever it’s needed the most.

The role includes carrying out the assessment of capital and revenue grants; preparing and formatting assessment reports, drafting offer letters, processing claims and ensuring key information is captured within internal systems and working together as part of a united team to provide administrative support across the Foundation - always delivering high levels of customer service.

This year, the Foundation will be investing more money than ever into facilities across England and is committed to improving the experience of playing football for everyone.

What are we looking for?

We would love to hear from you if you understand grant application processes and excellent customer service, coupled with knowledge of how sport can be used for community benefit. You will also need experience of administration processes, working in a varied team, and communicating with colleagues and customers remotely.

We’re looking for a team player with a keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills who takes pride in delivering excellent customer and administrative service.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. Drive a consistent, user-centred experience across the applicant, client, and volunteer journeys by leading service improvements, coordinating cross-team delivery, and using data and feedback to inform continuous enhancement.

Key Activities

• Review end to end applicant and volunteer journey and ensure delivery within and across teams
• Oversee the distribution of national support for applicants across the regional client advisors teams

Senior Finance Officer
Location: Office-based near Nine Elms, London
Working pattern: Part-time, 2 days per week on-site

We are delighted to be partnering with a creative, community-focused music charity to recruit a Senior Finance Officer to support their financial operations.

This is a pivotal role in a small team, responsible for the day-to-day financial management and operational bookkeeping of the charity, as well as contributing to longer-term planning and reporting. Following the recent opening of a second venue, including a performance space, recording studio, and café. \this role plays a vital part in ensuring robust and scalable financial systems across all areas of activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts for senior leadership and the Board
• Lead the budgeting process and maintain cash flow forecasts
• Oversee and carry out accurate bookkeeping, including:
  • Purchase/sales ledger management
  • Batch and individual payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Petty cash and credit card management
  • Processing invoices and receipts
• Manage monthly payroll submissions and liaise with accountants and pension providers
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and Gift Aid claims
• Maintain oversight of income streams including student payments, ticketing, and café revenue
• Support fundraising team with financial reporting for funding applications and reports
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, SORP, HMRC, and charity regulations
• Oversee fixed assets register and manage depreciation schedules
• Liaise with external accountants on year-end accounts for both the charity and its trading subsidiary

What We're Looking For

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified by experience, with a minimum of three years in a finance or bookkeeping role
• Previous experience in a charity, arts, or creative environment is desirable
• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting Board-level financial reporting
• Proficient in using accounting software, ideally Xero
• Strong working knowledge of payroll, VAT, and charity finance regulations
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and handling reconciliations, journals, and multi-source income

Knowledge and Skills:

• Clear understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks
• Ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience overseeing or working alongside bookkeepers or finance assistants
• Familiarity with restricted/unrestricted funding models is desirable
