Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the South West Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

The Role 
 
As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Skipton, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the day to day running of the shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term. 

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Play an active part in running our shop in Skitpton, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity. 

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation. 

• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment. 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes. 

• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.

Position: Education Officer

About the Role

We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.

At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.

The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.

You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations

Key responsibilities include:

· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.

· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.

· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.

· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.

· Monitor, collate and report on work carried out, toward learning goals and impact reporting, coordinated by the Senior Education Officer to support the programme evaluation.

· Support volunteers and build capacity working with partner site staff in the delivery of beaver education programmes.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young audiences, preferably within a wildlife or conservation setting. You will have a good grasp of ecology and be willing to travel around the country to support learning education opportunities as well as being confident running sessions or delivering train-the-trainer sessions online.

Essential skills and experience include:

· A foundation degree level or equivalent in a zoology, biology or conservation-related field, OR; A teaching/education qualification or equivalent experience in teaching, using different delivery methods including virtual delivery. Both formal qualifications OR equivalent lived, voluntary or professional experience are welcome.

· The ability to communicate complex concepts in an innovative and engaging way to a young audience.

· The skill set to inspire people to connect with nature, to support teachers, deliver talks, presentations and education sessions.

· A strong interest in nature, conservation and restoration.

· Working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies and procedures.

· Competent use of IT skills, preferably Google Suite, and high standards for visual content.

· Experience in confidently using IT packages for teaching delivery, including the use of tablets, presentation software and audiovisual.

· A full valid UK driving licence (you will be required to access remote rural locations carrying more equipment than can be handled on public transport)

· Resident in mainland Britain and proof of right to work in Britain.

· A place to store learning materials. We can offer storage support if there isn’t space at home.

Job Description

Catch22 are excited to be recruiting for a specialist Women & Girls Case worker for our new Home Office Funded County Lines Support and Rescue Service. The Case Worker role will undertake 121 work with young people under 25yrs old and will specialise in working with female young people within the service.

Rescue Service a rescue service with out of hours capacity to facilitate the safe return home, at a critical teachable moment, of under 25’s from London, the West Midlands, Merseyside and Greater Manchester where they are identified outside of their home police force area in connection with county lines.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will be:

• Provide one to one, end to end, appropriate support, and interventions to a pre-defined case load of female young people involved in County Lines activity (and their families where appropriate) who are referred by means of effective assessment, care planning and risk management
• Act as the single point of contact and specialist in the region for women and girls involved in County Lines activity. Attend multi-agency meetings and engage with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the distinct needs and circumstances of women and girls and how the service can support them.  Act as point of contact in the region for our partners, providing gender based training, awareness and developing a differentiated offer to improve the impact and effectiveness of services for women and girls involved in County Lines Activity.
• Proactively and continually assess and manage risk of caseload, using internal and external safeguarding procedures for escalation and where necessary and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect the individual needs and circumstances of young people.
• To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service planning and delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential.
• Liaise effectively with local partner organisations and other relevant agencies to ensure effective referrals, care and risk management as well as ease of transition and referral for young people and to promote the continued joint work of the service and other partners. Act as a sub-regional or district single point of contact where required.

This post will involve travel across the regional area, the ability be on call on a rota system and occasional evening and weekend working.

Qualifications/Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in a related field such as youth work, community work, health & social care, or a similar discipline.
• Experience working directly with young people (aged 8–25) and their families, particularly those identified as vulnerable or with complex needs.
• A strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by young women and girls affected by exploitation and County Lines activity.
• Proven experience of multi-agency working, ideally with Children’s Services, Youth Justice, or other statutory and voluntary organisations.
• Knowledge of risk and vulnerability issues affecting young people, and the ability to assess and manage these risks appropriately.
• Ability to deliver one-to-one and group interventions, and to adapt engagement strategies to meet individual needs.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain accurate records using data management systems.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as part of an on-call rota.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

About the role:

This role is based in Ashford, Kent and is offered on a hybrid basis, working from home, the office and also requires regular travel travel across Kent and Medway.

As the Operations Manager for our Community Team you will be responsible for the daily activities of a diverse group of staff working with people who have experienced different crime types, reporting to the Area Manager.

The role is responsible for delivering full housing management services across a portfolio of 50–100 supported accommodation units, with a focus on tenancy sustainment, legal compliance, and strong financial performance. Plumstead Community Law Centre is a free specialist legal advice charity located in central Woolwich in South East London. We provide specialist legal advice and advocacy in the areas of immigration, welfare benefits and employment People can access our services via telephone or email, and through the Advice Hub outreach services we attend in local community centres. In 2024 over 1,400 local people accessed our advice and representation services, resulting in a range of financial and non-financial benefits.

Towards the end of 2024, we moved away from a collective model towards a functional management structure. We appointed an Interim CEO from the staff group and expanded our trustee board's size and expertise.

This Managing Director and Senior Solicitor role involves assuming the charity’s management from our interim CEO, who has established strong systems and secured new funding for the further strengthening of the charity. ​The Law Centre Managing Director and Senior Solicitor (“MD/SS”) is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Law Centre. Working within appropriate delegations from the Board, the post holder ensures that the Law Centre provides quality assured services that meet its charitable purposes. The MD/SS ensures that issues of risk and compliance are properly managed and that the Centre is an exciting, innovative and enjoyable place to work. The MD/SS ensures that the Centre operates within budgets set by the Board and 2 that it offers value for money. The MD/SS must ensure that legal, regulatory, grant, contractual and other relevant requirements are met and that the Centre continues to be relevant to its community.

Location: Keech Hospice , Luton (hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £41,750 - £42,794
Contract: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role

As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering an ambitious individual giving programme that brings in over £1.5 million annually. You will lead a supporter-centric strategy focused on acquisition, retention, and growth, harnessing digital tools, automation, and compelling storytelling to create engaging donor journeys. You will manage the development of regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals, lotteries, and raffles.

This is a role with real breadth and impact, combining strategy, digital innovation, data analysis, leadership, and collaboration.

• Lead the strategic development of individual giving at Keech, owning a multi-million-pound income stream
• Oversee the growth and innovation of digital fundraising, automation, and integrated campaigns
• Manage, coach, and develop one Individual Giving Fundraiser
• Deliver and grow regular giving, lottery, and donor retention programmes
• Collaborate cross-departmentally with Fundraising, Digital, Marketing & Comms, and Data teams
• Use data and insight to test, learn, and optimise performance across channels
• Champion exceptional supporter journeys and deliver measurable income growth

Who They’re Looking For

Keech is seeking a digitally confident and results-driven fundraiser with experience leading individual giving programmes.You’ll bring:

• Strong experience delivering and growing individual giving income through digital and traditional channels
• Ideally have experience of lottery and raffles and associated regulations
• Knowledge of donor segmentation, supporter journeys, and marketing automation
• Experience managing or mentoring staff and driving performance
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with CRM and reporting tools
• A collaborative and strategic mindset, comfortable working across teams
• Commitment to values of empathy, integrity, and supporter care
