ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Delivery team as our new National Cycle Network (NCN) Project Officer.
As the NCN Delivery Project Officer you will support and deliver feasibility and infrastructure construction projects, working closely with team managers to ensure effective project management, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and operational delivery. You’ll help drive projects forward in line with organisational goals and compliance standards.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects which seek to tackle some of England’s greatest active travel challenges, including the response to the climate emergency, the inequitable distribution of (and access to) green space, the social injustice of private vehicle dominance and the realisation of equitable and joyful public space for all.
The focus of this role is in the England North region; we may occasionally need you to travel during the course of your work including occasional overnights stays, and you may occasionally be required to work at other locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to a nominated hub/office base in Leeds, Manchester, or Newcastle.
This role involves regular travel, with work taking place at different locations to support and deliver projects for the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust.
ABOUT YOU
You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong report writing experience.
Experienced with working collaboratively within a team, you will also be adept at building meaningful and productive relationships with stakeholders, public sector (local authority) partners, landowners, contractors and volunteers.
This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, with a passion for active travel.
Well organised with an ability to think critically and are keen to learn. Experience with project management tools and mapping software is desirable, but not essential. You will have 3 years' work experience in a relevant field (Geography, infrastructure, transport planning, town planning, sustainable transport, technical project management, urban design).

The available role (details)
As Estates Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the management, maintenance, and development of all Wigan & Leigh Hospice estates, including clinical, administrative, retail, and warehouse sites. You will ensure the estate remains safe, sustainable, compliant, and efficient, consistently meeting statutory and regulatory obligations while supporting the Hospice’s wider strategic objectives.
This role requires a skilled facilities professional with expertise in estates compliance, health and safety, risk management, and the delivery of complex projects. You will lead, develop, and motivate a small estates team, oversee key supplier contracts, and act as the hospice’s Competent Person under the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Your leadership will be central to embedding a culture of compliance, safety, and continuous improvement, while building strong relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
· NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification, or relevant experience with a strong commitment to achieve these qualifications within an agreed timeframe
· Extensive knowledge of statutory estates compliance including H&S, COSHH, PUWER, Fire Safety, CDM, and RIDDOR
· Proven track record in multi-site estates or facilities management, preferably within healthcare, social care, or the charity sector
· Experience in policy development, compliance oversight, and quality assurance activities across diverse premises
· Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams and managing external contractors
· Experience of managing estates projects from inception through delivery within budget and timescale
· Full UK driving licence with willingness and ability to travel between hospice and retail sites.
The postholder will be required to participate in the out-of-hours 'on-call' rota to address emergency facilities concerns.
The role may require occasional late-night or weekend work when there is a specific business need or, in some instances, to deal with an emergency. Advanced notice will be provided wherever feasible, and time off in lieu will be provided.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (Friday finish at 4pm). Flexibility with working pattern will be considered. The role is office based.

Role summary and purpose
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio. About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.
You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.

Key responsibilities
Research and process management

Fundraising
· Identify and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects and opportunities which have the potential to deliver five- and six-figure grants.

Reporting
· Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in a timely fashion and incentivise continued support.

· Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget.

About the role
As Support Services Manager you will support the Lead Myeloma Information Specialist, the Peer Service Co-ordinator and Support Group Co-ordinator to deliver their respective services. In addition, you will deliver personalised, empathetic, and accessible information and support to service users affected by myeloma and its related conditions (such as AL amyloidosis, smouldering myeloma, and MGUS).
You will need to work towards being an internal expert on myeloma, keeping aware of research and clinical developments, current opinions, guidelines and other initiatives in the field of myeloma and related conditions, including the pipeline of myeloma drugs.
As part of the role, you will monitor impact and ensure all services are running in accordance with Service Guidelines, including leading the submission to the Helplines Partnership for re-accreditation as required. You will lead the team in service improvements and new initiatives, working with colleagues from across the organisation to drive impactful changes.

The Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative, financial, and scheduling support across RAP’s international operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Contracts & Administrative Coordination

- Track deadlines, deliverables, and grants & contract renewal dates; flag follow-ups and support internal reviews.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative, finance, operations, or executive support role.
- Profiles with backgrounds in nonprofit operations, executive assistance, virtual assistance, or operations analysis are a strong fit.
- Fluent in English; fluency or professional working proficiency in other global languages, particularly in French, highly valued.
- Familiarity with collaborative tools and systems such as Microsoft Office, SAGE Intacct, SharePoint, Monday, or similar. Experience managing scheduling or contracts workflows, especially across international time zones.
