Key responsibilities and duties

· Developing and producing short-form video content, along with other Adobe-based outputs.

· Other such duties as are reasonably appropriate to the job.

Guidelines Officer

The Employer

The British Society for Haematology (BSH) is the largest UK multidisciplinary Haematology Society with over 3,000 members. Our activities include running education events and courses (including our flagship Annual Scientific Meeting held in April), producing guidelines, awarding grants, and raising the profile of haematology.

The Role

The main role of the BSH Guidelines is to provide haematologists with up-to-date advice on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disease and on laboratory haematology practice, primarily by the production of evidence-based guidelines.

The co-ordination and commissioning of the required guidelines is administered by the Guidelines Team, overseen by the Guidelines Executive Committee; and carried out by four Task Forces, each responsible for a specialist area: blood transfusion, haemostasis & thrombosis, haemato-oncology and general haematology.  In addition, each Task Force oversees 10-14 Writing Groups, who develop BSH guidance.

The post-holder supports the Guidelines Team, including coordination of activities of the volunteer groups and supporting liaison with external groups and organisations.

• Intermediate/Advanced IT Skills (Microsoft Office Package, Databases, Mailing Software, Web Content Management)

As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.

• Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.

The Role

Location: Contracted to our Peterborough office with the flexibility for hybrid working
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 FTE depending on experience
Full time: (37.5 hours) or part-time considered (minimum 30 hours per week)

We are looking for a talented leader with a proven track record in high value fundraising to lead our philanthropy team, which comprises trusts, major giving and special events. You will bring a strong track record of securing significant high-value gifts from trusts and major donors, along with deep knowledge of the current philanthropic landscape. With proven experience in budget planning, income forecasting and managing long-term pipelines, you will play a key role in delivering our ambitious fundraising targets. You will have a passion for cultivating relationships and going above and beyond to develop lasting meaningful relationships with supporters.

We operate a hybrid, flexible working style and regular weekly office attendance is encouraged. The role is contracted to our Peterborough office. You will also be required to regularly attend external meetings and events.

Community Fundraiser

Salary: £28,823 – £29,294 per annum WTE

37 hours per week

Location: Farnham with Hybrid working

We have an exciting opening for a full time Community Fundraiser within our friendly and supportive Income Generation Team, based at our site in Farnham, Surrey. This energising role will see you supporting individuals and groups within our local community, to organise their own events and fundraise for our vital care. It’s a fun and varied role and no two weeks are the same.

You need to be someone who’s compassionate but can bring bags of energy to the position! One day you might be supporting someone to open their garden or hold an afternoon tea and the next you’ll be dressing up and joining the team to deliver our Reindeer Run’s at local schools. There’s also the space for you to think creatively and bring new fundraising ideas and campaigns to our community fundraising calendar.

We’re looking to appoint an enthusiastic and positive individual who is great at communicating and confident at building relationships. You’ll also need to have excellent presenting skills to motivate and inspire our supporters. About You

A successful Community Fundraiser will have:

• Experience of working within a fundraising team or relevant transferrable skills
• Be personable and friendly with strong communication skills to engage with a variety of audiences and ages, with presentation experience
• The ability to manage conflicting priorities and be adaptable to changing demands on your time
• Understanding of the locality of Phyllis Tuckwell and catchment area across West Surrey & North East Hampshire
• Experience of working with supporters/customers and/or volunteers
• The willingness to pull up your sleeves and join in as part of a busy team but have the ability to work independently
• Have a flexible approach to working hours as the role involves some evening and weekend working
• A full driving licence and their own car
