The Friends of Moorfields is a registered charity supporting the patients and staff at Moorfields Eye Hospital, a world centre of excellence for the specialist treatment of eye diseases.
The Friends provide a range of services to support the work of the hospital – including the purchase of clinical equipment – and manage a team of volunteers.
The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-starting individual looking to develop a career across the breadth of communications, media and PR in the digital age. Based at Moorfields Eye Hospital, the post holder will be inspired by the difference Friends staff and volunteers make to patients and staff at Moorfields. LTSB has ambitious plans to grow our income over the next few years. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team, which currently has three members of staff who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and key relationships necessary to achieve our aims.
This brand new role will support with developing and growing the number of trusts, foundations and institutions we are working with.
Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream at LTSB, and you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain some of our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board through effective research and prospecting.
This role would suit someone who has some experience of trust fundraising but is looking for the next step, therefore you must have experience of grant writing (five figure bids). You will have competent writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.
This is a community-based position working from home but covering Hampshire, Wiltshire and West Sussex, delivering both remote and face to face support. Responsibilities
The Campaigns Executive responsibilities include:
● Providing day-to-day coordination and administrative support across national, local and international campaign workstreams.
● Helping to plan and deliver campaign events, such as in-person and online workshops: booking venues/managing online platforms, organising travel and materials, briefing staff and providing on-the-day support, occasionally outside standard working hours.
● Undertaking desk research, evidence-gathering and basic data analysis to inform our campaign activities, turning findings into briefings and/or presentations for internal teams.
● Contributing to brainstorms and ideation sessions with teams across Bite Back.

About the role
In this rewarding role, you will manage a portfolio of third party running, hiking and cycling events with the objective of raising over £1 million for people living with cancer.
You will be responsible for recruitment through paid and organic marketing and providing a sector-leading stewardship journey to ensure our supporters feel engaged and inspired from the moment they sign-up. You will also be responsible for multiple aspects of event delivery and have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the organisation.
You'll be line managing a Challenge Events Assistant who will play an important role in supporting your events programme, so strong relationship- building and nurturing skills will be key to help them develop and feel supported
This role includes weekend work, primarily attending events to support participants in person, therefore attending events is an essential part of this role. Time off in lieu will be provided for weekend commitments. A full UK driving licence is desirable, and we welcome applications from individuals who are comfortable driving a van or open to training and support in doing so.
This is truly a special role, where you will work on a wide range of programmed events, meet our amazing supporters, use your skills and experience to work in a varied role covering marketing, stewardship and logistics and help us raise vital funds for Macmillan services to support people living with cancer.
About you:
- Experienced in project management and time management skills – able to manage multiple projects to deadlines
- Experienced in relationship management skills – ability to build and develop relationships while conversing with a variety of people in different situations
- Experience delivering supporter journeys and marketing campaigns
- Event management experience
- Industry/Market knowledge: experience of fundraising, data protection laws, incident management practices, and health and safety best practice

As the London Sexual Health Services Manager, you will lead METRO’s London-based Sexual & Reproductive Health services, overseeing a range of programmes including sexual health, outreach, and youth engagement.
This role will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Sexual Health Office (SHO), including staffing, results management, and phone helpline services. The successful applicant will lead and develop a team of staff, providing supervision, training, and performance management.
This role is also responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of sexual health programmes, including the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) and C-card (condom) schemes. The post-holder will work closely with other colleagues in our communications team to facilitate this.
This role is responsible for supporting engagement and reach targets across the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) and C-Card scheme, delivered across multiple London boroughs. To achieve this, the London Sexual Health Services Manager will manage a small team of lead and frontline staff. The role will include regular liaison with professional stakeholders, including commissioners, and may involve occasional direct delivery of outreach activities.
In addition, this role will lead the Young Greenwich (YG) sexual health team within the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG), overseeing a range of activities including outreach, youth hub engagement, one-to-one support, and training. The successful applicant will also have oversight of the Sexual Health Office (SHO) and the South West London (SWL) programme. Collaboration will be essential, as this role will work closely with other METRO managers involved in Young Greenwich delivery, as well as with our delivery partners at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and Charlton Athletic Community Trust.

About this role
The Communications and Content Officer is part of SPANA’s Communications and Campaigns team, responsible for creating high-quality content and delivering effective communications that support the charity’s mission. We are seeking a Communications and Content Officer for six months to assist the Communications and Campaigns team during an incredibly exciting, busy and rewarding period for our charity.
The role involves producing engaging written, digital and visual content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency with SPANA’s brand and messaging. It also includes managing and cataloguing content assets to support the organisation’s ongoing communications needs. Through compelling storytelling and collaboration across teams, the role helps drive awareness, advocacy, fundraising and internal engagement.
Contract, salary and location
This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), fixed term contract. The salary for this role is c.£33,000 per annum, subject to skills and experience. This is a hybrid, UK-based role with the requirement to spend 1-2 days (or more if preferred) in SPANA's London office.
