About the role
You’ll be joining the partnerships team, which is a key role within the fundraising department and part of our wider Income Generation directorate. You will have a minimum of three years account management experience gained in charity corporate partnerships or a relevant account management role, as well as a proven track record of cultivating, securing and successfully managing corporate relationships. You are a natural strong communicator, with the ability to build effective and long-term relationships both internally and externally. You'll have proven experience of inspiring and motivating supporters and developing partners enabling them to maximise all income generating activities in the area and deliver impressive results. About Dravet Syndrome UK
Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.
The charity was founded in October 2008 by a small group of 30 families. Today, DSUK is a registered charity helping over 550 families with support, education, and research programmes, underpinned by a world-class Medical Advisory Board.
What you will bring
Essential
· Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering engaging and targeted social media content to build community, raise awareness and drive engagement.
· Hands-on experience managing websites (using WordPress), delivering e-marketing campaigns (e.g. Mailchimp or similar), and applying SEO principles and other techniques to optimise digital communications and online visibility.
· Demonstrable experience in media relations, including writing press releases, working with case studies and successfully pitching and responding to a range of media (online, press, radio, broadcast)
· Demonstrable experience of working in charity, patient advocacy or healthcare sectors

About the role
As our Regional Technical Adviser – Climate Resilient WASH, you will ensure the high technical quality of our climate resilient WASH programmes in the region and work closely with Country Programmes, partners and stakeholders to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical guidance, quality assurance and support to country programmes including for climate resilient WASH programming, system strengthening and the sustainability of WASH services.
- Implement capacity building initiatives to enhance competencies of staff, partners and stakeholders to deliver sustainable and climate resilient WASH programming.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships, the knowledge base and thought leadership in WASH and climate resilient programming through networking, knowledge sharing and advocacy.
- Support country programmes to integrate and prioritise WASH Climate Resilient measures in key national policies, strategies, and planning frameworks such as NAPs and NDCs.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Extensive, relevant professional experience at a senior level in climate resilient, WASH-related programmes and policy advocacy for LMIC countries in rural, urban and climate affected contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in strengthening WASH systems and understanding of the WASH sector’s interaction with other systems such as climate change, health, urban planning.
- Excellent and up to date knowledge of technologies, approaches, technical standards and guidelines related to climate resilient and sustainable WASH relevant to South Asia and how to practically apply these to programming.
- Significant experience of working in a technical capacity at senior level in the South Asia region, preferably in at least one of the countries in which WaterAid operates.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally, specifically to country programmes in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, and internationally (sometimes at short notice).
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- A chartered membership with a recognised professional association in a relevant technical field.
- Proven experience of stakeholder engagement that include government, private sector, and donors with high level of influencing skills.
- Good understanding and experience in National Adaptation Planning (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) revision and implementation, climate finance processes, modalities, and sources.

Role Description
BASIC is seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Manager (Policy Fellow) to lead BASIC’s deliverables within our joint project with the Federation of the American Scientists (FAS): ‘From the Noise, the Signal’.
The project investigates how emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) pose credible threats and disrupt traditional assumptions regarding relative military advantages and disadvantages. One such assumption is the traditional dominance of hiders over seekers in the military domain which appears to be increasingly challenged by a package of EDTs. These technologies operate across military domains, including: outer space and the upper atmosphere, air, ground, sea surface, undersea, and cyber. Research has, however, not yet fully assessed EDTs collective impacts on hider-seeker dynamics, at a time where technologies are advancing faster than policy.
This joint FAS-BASIC project addresses this gap in both the research literature and policy discourse through collaboration with an interdisciplinary community of scientific, technical, and OSINT experts, to build a higher-resolution picture of the technological readiness according to the open-source.
This high-impact role offers the opportunity to deliver the research and manage the part of the project that covers sea-based dimensions. The second phase will bring the project’s sea- and land-based dimensions together, and assess the overall strategic implications of these technological advances for nuclear stability.
The Project Manager is expected to have a solid understanding of global security, nuclear nuclear issues, and expertise in EDTs and nuclear weapons issues demonstrated through a record of relevant (policy) research. The successful candidate will have experience with convening and leading high level dialogues and experience with project delivery.
The successful candidate will manage and lead the project’s delivery across several outputs, working closely with FAS partners.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

We’re recruiting a fundraiser and project development manager to build on our creative, award-winning work addressing climate change and fuel poverty in practical, tangible ways.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision of a different energy future: one in which energy is generated renewably and used sustainably whilst leaving no one behind in the journey. We are looking for someone who understands the energy sector and the unique role that a community energy group can play in the energy transition. It is a role for someone who can imagine community solutions to energy sector issues and to translate these into fundable projects.
Your role will be to work with our board of Directors and staff to come to an understanding of our mission and values and our strategic priorities and develop and resource projects that will enable us to meet those priorities filling gaps in provision. In a practical sense, you will work with stakeholders e.g. our staff, our members, local community groups, local authorities and clients to generate ideas for future projects. The direction of travel should be broadly determined by our recent strategic review.
You will work closely with our CEO and our Board of Directors to prioritise project ideas. You will develop partnerships, refine project ideas, identify sources of funding (Trusts and Grantmakers, Corporate Giving), draft bids and cost delivery on a full cost recovery basis, submit bids and if funding is awarded, mobilise the team to deliver the work. This role provides a big and exciting challenge for someone who knows the energy sector, understands the opportunity of community and grassroots solutions, who brings excellent written communication skills and is willing to learn how to fundraise.
Responsibilities:
Grant Fundraising Support:
• Work with the Selce community (the board, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders) to generate new project ideas that support our strategic mission
• Research and identify potential grant-making trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies that will fund project proposals
• Prepare high-quality grant applications; this includes calculating budget requirements, formulating proposals, writing proposals
• Manage the grant administration process and maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and applications in the fundraising calendar.
Commissioned Work & Tendering Support:
• Assist in researching and identifying opportunities for commissioned work.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and proposals, including gathering necessary information, budgeting and formatting submissions.
• Provide administrative support for contract negotiation and agreement finalisation.
Community Share Capital
• Draft community share offer brochures and associated documentation
• Support the implementation of strategies to raise community share capital.
• Assist in planning and executing share offer campaigns, including preparing marketing materials and organising investor events.
• Help manage investor communications and data, ensuring compliance with cooperative principles and financial regulations.
Develop and Maintain Relationships

Skills & Experience:
The ability to imagine and innovate and thereby build fundable project-based solutions working in partnership with stakeholders is more important that fundraising experience per se. This post would suit an Energy Policy graduate that has experience of either community energy or journalism (and therefore brings strong writing skills) or environmental projects

The Role

We are looking for a Trust Fundraising Officer to join our supportive Trusts and Grants fundraising team, playing a key role in helping raise vital funds for services that support people experiencing and recovering from homelessness to rebuild their lives.
In the role of Trust Fundraising Officer, you will work closely with a team of four other trust fundraisers, helping to meet our income target of circa £1.5m in 2025-26, and produce high quality written proposals and reports that reflect the impact of philanthropic support on the people we work with.

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.
You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

The purpose of the role
The Mass Market team’s mission is to inspire the UK public to financially support the IRC to help people impacted by conflict and disaster. The purpose of this role is to support the Director, Mass Markets by implementing the Retention strategy in order to generate long-term sustainable growth, cultivate a loyal and engaged donor base and maximise net revenue.
As Retention Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for annual operational planning and delivery across for the retention programme, including for emergency appeals. You will work closely with the Director, Mass Markets to create and manage significant annual budgets, ensuring return on investment is maximised at all times. Supported by the Retention Marketing Executive, you will oversee all campaign activity, ensuring that it meets the strategic objectives and financial goals of the department.

Key accountabilities
Strategy and planning
- Support the Director, Mass Markets in the development and delivery of the retention strategy and priorities
- Identify, scope and deliver new and innovative opportunities that advance the retention strategy
- Manage retention operational planning, including leading annual, quarterly and monthly planning sessions, defining key deliverables and ensuring all activity supports the aims of the retention strategy
- Manage the monitoring and reporting framework to track performance against strategic objectives
- Identify and brief support requirements with internal and external partners in order to maximise activity and ensure the smooth running of back-office operations
- Build, manage and distribute a detailed marketing plan (refreshed quarterly) in line with strategic priorities and objectives, ensuring activities are co-ordinated, integrated and maximised with other Mass Market UK teams.
Budget management
- Manage segments of the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process, identifying opportunities for savings, additional investment, or budget reallocation
- Focus on maximising return on investment at all times, and make suggestions for contingency action as necessary to achieve budgeted income target
- Lead on tracking and reconciling retention income and expenditure budget lines, providing variance reporting to support the Director, Mass Markets regular financial reporting
Campaign management
- Oversee, plan and deliver multi-channel revenue and engagement campaigns, including emergencies, ensuring all activity is designed to inspire and engage supporters
- Oversee the design and implementation of customer journeys across all segments and products, in order to increase loyalty, average value and product holdings
- Lead the development and management of the mid-level portfolio, including regular communications, donor events, and identification and development of prospects into active donating advocates of the IRC
- Oversee work to ensure it is completed to standard, on time and within budget and act as overflow support during peak times, such as emergencies
- Work closely with equivalent team members in other national markets (i.e. Korea, Germany, Sweden, US) and the Mass Market support team to ensure all activity is coordinated and maximised
Insight, analysis and data management
- Work closely with the Analytics team to identify and manage analytics requirements and to draw actionable insights from performance data
- Oversee and sign off detailed end of campaign reports, ensuring all relevant information is documented and used to inform future activity
- Monitor day-to-day metrics, identifying and acting on performance issues and opportunities
Leadership and management
- Line manage and develop the Retention Marketing Executive(s), ensuring performance objectives are managed throughout the year and opportunities for training, development and progression are identified and prioritised
- Work closely with other team members to increase connection across Mass Markets, with the ultimate aim of developing a seamless progression for new donors and prospects into further cultivation
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external suppliers, ensuring performance is to standard and opportunities to drive value for money from existing and new suppliers are identified, and supporting with the preparation of quarterly business reviews, as required
General
- Keep up to date with the sector developments in individual giving to ensure IRC is at the forefront of fundraising developments
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, best practice and industry standards and adhere to all relevant regulation including the Fundraising Regulator and ICO.
- Ensure all fundraising and marketing is ethical, effective and supporter centric
- This post may involve some travel, overnight stays and very occasional working outside core office hours, e.g. during an emergency appeal
- Undertake any other additional tasks as requested by the Director, Mass Markets

Experience:
- Experience and understanding of Individual Giving and retention programmes, with a proven track record of successfully delivering revenue and engagement activities across multiple channels**
- Experience of line management**
- Experience and understanding of creative process and relationship with brand identity through different channels and audiences**
- Experience of operational planning and campaign management**
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, high performing team
- Experience working for a centralised, international organisation would be an advantage
Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications
- Understanding of cash and recurring revenue business models**
- Proven experience of audience and donor segmentation, analytical modelling such as LTV and use of insights to drive campaign and programme performance
- Driven and proactive with a solutions-based approach
- Excellent verbal and written English and the ability to produce high-quality reports
- Commercially minded, with the ability to balance both long-term and short-term activity and objectives
- Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Numerate with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, ideally with understanding of analytical software such as PowerBI
- Excellent organisational skills, especially the ability to manage a complex, varied and substantial workload
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
