Main Purpose of the Post
The Chief Executive will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the RLSS and all its services. This will include management of staff and ensuring the services are meeting the needs of those who require them, in addition to managing finances, membership and external relationships. This is a joint venture between Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) and i-access, the drug and alcohol community service which offers specialist assessment, support, and treatment to people in Surrey who want help with their drug and/or alcohol use. The role is fixed term to the end of March 2027, but it is hoped that it will continue, subject to funding.
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our specialist team. It is essential that the applicant has recent experience of advising clients, at Citizens Advice or another comparable organisation.

East Anglian Air Ambulance is a regional charity that provides life-saving care across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond. With two state of the art helicopters and a fleet of rapid response vehicles taking our crew of critical care paramedics and doctors to the scene of the incident, to provide advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care (PHEM).
We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Training and Volunteer Administrator to join our life-saving charity.
About our Community Training Programme:
Since 2018 East Anglian Air Ambulance has been delivering lifesaving Community CPR and Defibrillator training sessions to over 100,000+ children and adults, but we need to train more people to save more lives across East Anglia.
Every year approximately 11,000 people suffer a cardiac arrest in the East of England. Around 70% of those who suffer a cardiac arrest receive any form of bystander CPR before the arrival of the ambulance service, however, less than 20% have a defibrillator deployed before emergency services arrive.
The cardiac arrest survival rate in the UK is only around 9%, but if a defibrillator is used alongside effective CPR within the first 3-5 minutes, the chances of survival can increase between 40% - 70%.
About the role:
As Community Training and Volunteer Administrator, you will provide excellent administrative support to EAAA's Community Training and Volunteering Team, helping to coordinate our flagship Community CPR and Defibrillator Training programme for schools, community groups and organisations across East Anglia.
You will manage a busy training calendar and coordinate Community CPR Training bookings and enquiries, ensuring all participants and supporters receive the highest standards of customer service. You will also oversee the logistics of our training equipment, ensuring resources are available in the right place at the right time to support training delivery.
You will ensure all CPR and AED training sessions are accurately recorded on our volunteer management system and will support and guide new and existing CPR volunteers throughout their recruitment and onboarding journey.
To be successful in this role, you will have strong administrative and IT skills, experience of using CRM systems, and excellent communication skills. You will be confident engaging with a diverse range of people and committed to delivering an outstanding supporter experience.
This is a vital role in ensuring our training participants, volunteers and supporters have a positive experience with EAAA and our community training programmes. Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving outcomes for patients experiencing cardiac arrest across East Anglia and help save more lives.

About the role
Reporting in to the National Events Manager, the Events Fundraising Officer will recruit and engage supporters, building trust and collaboration to strengthen Christian Aid’s event and DIY fundraising activity and maximise participation in challenge events. Supporting the planning and delivery of impactful fundraising and stewardship initiatives, while working flexibly to contribute to wider team priorities and key fundraising moments.
The post-holder will develop meaningful communications with Christian Aid’s supporters, churches, and volunteers to maximise engagement and create consistent, high-quality experiences.

Location: The role is national, managing teams in Northern Ireland, Wales and across England. You will need to be able to work at one of our BookTrust offices in London, Leeds, Belfast or Cardiff for an average of 8 days per month whilst some of these collaboration days may be worked in partner locations, at events or stakeholder meetings in any part of the country. The Head of Partnerships Development will ensure increasingly effective pathways to families by setting out ways of working that ensure delivery teams can access these routes, influence decision makers and develop and build the right relationships for greatest impact. Along with the Director of partnerships the role holder will aim to both influence and respond to central, local and regional policy initiatives in the sector to support BookTrust’s mission to get all children reading, especially those from low income and vulnerable family backgrounds.
The role holder will ensure internal stakeholders are briefed on the local government landscape and that risks and opportunities are clearly articulated.
This work spans the organisation – from within our partnerships team to our research and impact, communications and external affairs, design and innovation, growth planning, communications, profile-raising and income generation – and requires strong collaborative working to draw on skills and capacity in all these areas.
The role will work internally and externally to ensure the right inputs to ensure success for our scaled programmes, supporting everything from design to upskilling our team and relationship building across the local government and regional and country landscape.

Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North West region, which include Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Chesire. There will be occasional travel around the North West and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
About the team
The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in the North West, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North West would be valuable.
