We are looking for a part time Membership Officer to work 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), alongside our existing part time Membership Officer. The position is hybrid, with at least one day a week (Tuesday) in the office in Archway. Together, they will lead on administrative support of our membership functions. Reporting to our Office and Events Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the administrative functions that support the smooth running and ongoing success of the organisation around membership.
This is an interesting and varied role that acts as a first 'point of contact’ for the people we work with (such as Member Institutions, Registrants and queries from members of the public), as well as managing the administrative aspect of memberships, such as setting up new Registrants on our CRM system. The role also involves longer term project work such as overseeing the CPD audit and improving and growing membership processes.

Duties and key responsibilities
Financial Administration and Bookkeeping
- Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
- Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
- Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
- Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
- Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
- Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
- Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Working with the Database and Finance Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50 and the income spreadsheet on a quarterly basis.
- Maintaining organised financial files to support monthly reporting and the year-end audit.

Budget Management

Audit
Preparation for the annual audit and compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements, including:

Other

The Role
The purpose of this role is to recruit schools to participate in our programmes and coordinate workshops and events in schools and with other third sector organisations and cultural institutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage School Relationships:

About the role
The Administration and Finance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of GISF’s operations. About the role:
The Social Mobility and Widening Participation Senior Officer is a vital member of the department. The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. They will also be involved in a range of other challenging projects run across the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Department.
The postholder will primarily work with pre-16 pupils and this will involve working collaboratively with and building strategic relationships with our partner schools and teachers.
The post holder will work closely with the wider team, student ambassadors and key partner staff.

As Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting RFUK’s income generation and donor engagement strategies. Working closely with the Senior Fundraising Coordinator, you’ll contribute to a range of activities—from researching trusts and foundations, assisting with grant applications, and managing donor care, to supporting events like the London Marathon and helping implement our digital engagement strategy.

Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the UK’s biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. For 10 years, it has been transforming the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition through volunteer led Dementia Friends Sessions and tailored resources for organisations. The programme supports individuals and organisations to understand more about dementia and inspires them to take meaningful action to bring help and hope to everyone affected by dementia. The programme is about to embark on a development phase so this is a great time to join the team and bring your expertise and experience.
This varied role is all about engaging volunteers, organisations and other internal and external stakeholders with this flagship programme. The role will work across a specified region to recruit, engage, train and support Dementia Friends Ambassadors (DFAs) volunteers. It will support development of new learning resources for programme routes and work with teams across Alzheimer’s Society to support them to use to all programme routes to build relationships and deliver impact.

About you
We are looking for an empathetic and organised volunteer manager who loves to engage and inspire people. You will have experience of managing volunteers, developing resources and delivering training to a wide range of stakeholders both virtually and in person. You will be confident influencer who is happy to work on multiple things at once.
The Dementia Friends Engagement Officer will work closely with teams across the Society to ensure that the Dementia Friends Programme is integrated into all of the work that Alzheimer’s Society does and is seen as a force for change. You’ll be a great relationship builder, who’s passion is delivering excellent stewardship and who’s skilled at supporting and influencing multiple stakeholders. You’ll have excellent project management and IT skills including using all Microsoft packages and experience of using a databases to record and report on data.
You will be part of a geographically dispersed team of Dementia Friends Engagement Officers, which sits in the wider Dementia Friends team and supports colleagues across the organisation. You’ll be expected to work autonomously to deliver within your region, but you’ll also have the opportunity to work collaboratively within the team and across the organisation on key projects.
The role will be primarily home based but you will need to be able to travel across your region. There may be some occasions where you need to travel outside of your region. As the role is home based, this role requires access to your own reliable internet connection and a minimum 10Mb/s broadband.
The role may involve some evening and weekend work to enable ongoing support of volunteers, so flexibility is essential.
